I recently bought a house in that needed everything. It was not taken care of by the previous owners at all and I assumed the carpet would have to be replaced. The bummer about it was that I liked the style of carpet (cut berber) that was installed, it was just trashed. A friend of mine had used Carter's religiously and made me promise to give them a shot at cleaning it assuring me that they guarantee the work 100%. When I called I spoke to Dean who told me that the guys that come out would give me a good idea of what to expect and could even do a test spot to show me the results before I committed to having the entire place done if I were still concerned. I got a quote over the phone that was based on square feet being cleaned. I said "it's really bad" which was countered on the phone with something along the lines of "it doesn't matter, we get it as clean as it will get for a flat rate, no extra charge." I remember that because I thought "ya right!" Well much to my surprise, it is no exaggeration to say they came out looking like new! The guys that came out told me that the carpet wasn't in bad shape, it was just really dirty and they were confident that it would come out looking very good. As I was told on the phone, they have a flat rate price which I REALLY like because I have had many carpet cleaners to my previous home that quote me one price and when they come out it always ends up being a lot more. Nothing drives me more crazy than bait and switch. No worries from these guys on that! I will say that while it wasn't cheap, it doesn't seem like it is any more than other companies have charged me for other homes in the past (with nowhere near the quality), this time I knew the price right from the start. The first time I called Carter's was because a big name company arrived at our house for an appointment and stated they couldn't work on the carpets because the truck wasn't level on the driveway (I had warned the person on the phone about the steep drive); we would have to reschedule. We had already cleared out the furniture and this was on a Friday; we would have to wait until at least Monday. So, out of desperation, I called Carter's to see if they had any appointments available same day. They were more than willing to squeeze me in because they understood my dilemma! They arrived at my house and did an amazing job! The carpets haven't looked that good since they were first installed! I have my carpets cleaned annually -- so, I knew what to expect and typically, they are clean but not "Wow" clean. This time they were "Wow" clean ... especially, the high traffic area's. I don't know how they "fluffed" up the carpet again, but they did. Amazing Job. We recently sold our house and I wanted the carpets to look great for the new owners, so the ONLY company I would trust with that was Carter's. They were flexible when I had to shuffle them around due to scheduling conflicts with cleaners and movers. I 100% recommend them to clean your carpets; not only will they look amazing, but your house smells amazing afterward. I have used Carter's over the years for cleaning carpets, furniture and travertine tile and have always been very happy with their staff and customer service. The travertine had wear and scratches. The technician took great care in making sure the tile was restored to a near new look. I recently had them come in to clean my vinyl plank and slate tile flooring. The slate had years of polish build up and just didn't feel clean. Edgar recommended stripping it and applying a sealer. He did a test spot and showed me what it would look like. The sample tiles were stripped back to the bare stone and the sealer made it look fresh and new. I have a lot of slate. I was very impressed with how diligent Edgar and Sergio were and how hard they worked. The slate floor looked beautiful, except two tiles. Those tiles had been covered by a cabinet for years; and naturally by the nature of the stone, looked different then the rest. I contacted Carter's. Edgar came back, within the week, as soon as he was able. He stripped and removed the layer of discolored stone from the tiles. After resealing them they did not stand out and looked as great as the rest of the floor. Every person at Carter's I interacted with only cared about my satisfaction. They did a great job! read more

I bought a house that had some carpet that I thought would have to be replaced. A neighbor told me about Carters and had great service with them so I thought I'd give it a shot. I called and got a "rough estimate" over the phone based on the square footage of my home. They booked the appointment for a 2 hour window and said they could have the tech call me 30 min before arrival. Worked out perfectly for me. They called and showed up 30 min later. The workers were neatly dressed and the truck was a big professional looking van (not like the toyota pick up the guy showed up in last time I had carpet cleaned!). They measured out my carpeting and told me the price. I fully expected for it to cost more than I was quoted on the phone because of the condition it was in but to my surprise, it was slightly less!! That NEVER happens to me LOL. As far the results, I thought the carpet was well beyond help but it looked fantastic when they were done! First they showed up exactly on time. Second they did a better job than any other carpet service we have used in the last 12 years (6 other cleanings). Edgar examined our 12+ year old off white carpet and described what he could do for it and what he couldn't. He cleaned our carpet cleaner and made it look better than it has in several years, He took extra care to restore the appearance of the high traffic areas which were looking very shabby. He was able to remove all but two of the many spill stains we had accumulated over the two years since it's last cleaning by another company. He was also able to remove residue from previous cleanings that other cleaners had left behind. We appreciated that he was able to remove several stains that he felt would probably not come all the way out. They are now gone. Thirdly we wern't bombarded with a big pitch to purchase a bunch of other products and services as has been the case with some other cleaning services. read more

There are not enough nice words for these guys! We had a water leak and the master bathroom / bedroom flooded! Even though it was quite early on a Saturday morning, Dean answered my call personally, sympathized, and got us on the schedule as soon as possible. Jason was our technician, and we could not have asked for better service. When Jason and crew arrived, the guys promptly assessed the problem, found the extent of the wetness, and extracted the water from the carpet. They provided us with an accurate estimate for all the services we would need and left us with huge drying fans. Jason then came back 3 days later, arriving exactly on schedule, and stretched and cleaned the carpet. Although the experience of having flooded floors was traumatic, everyone at Carters was so helpful and professional that it eased the pain. I'll definitely be calling Carters again when the carpets need cleaning -- and I will definitely be requesting Jason as my technician! read more

I don't give out 5 stars or awesome reviews lightly however when I experience great service, product or enjoy great food dining out, I won't hesitate to tell others about it. They earn 5 stars from me. We have been customers of Carter's Carpet for maybe 10 yrs and highly recommend them for carpet cleaning and carpet restoration (water damage). We have neutral, very light beige carpets that will show dirt or soiling especially with an active family going in and out of house and Carter's does a great job. They ensure satisfaction and will touch up anything that reappears after fully drying. You can see the skills and experience continue from the first guys who performed the cleanings 10 years ago to the guys today that have been around for several years (low employee turnover is a good indication they like their jobs and make customers happy). I did some research about cleaning my carpets, and after debating about chemical cleaning, or if renting one of the carpet cleaner machines from the local supermarket would work, decided to go instead with Carter's Carpet Restoration. I am glad that I did! I had all of my carpets cleaned and like Dave said, after about an hour they were dry and looking good as new! Carter's prices were honest and fair. Dave explained all costs upfront and broke down every detail so you knew exactly what you are getting. My family liked how Carter's cleaned the carpets so much that after seeing a sample cleaning of one of our floor tiles we had them come back and clean and seal all of our floor tiles as well! I found Carter's Carpet Restoration very professional, and ready to work when they said they would. I will definitely use them again in the future for my carpets and tile floors. I asked for recommendations on the El Dorado Exchange Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/groups/290492587670065/) for a local carpet cleaning company. From among 4 recommendations, I chose Carter's Carpet Restoration after looking at their web site (http://www.carterscarpet.com/) because it's a family-owned business, not a franchise, and because it's been around since 1989. They came yesterday and did a fabulous job. Edgar was the lead guy and he asked me what I wanted done and where, they measured and charged me only for the square footage they cleaned. Edgar, Pat and Andy all did the work -- cleaning the carpet in 3 rooms, and cleaning tile and sealing the grout in the entryway and hallway. The carpets were dry in record time and my floors look so clean now! I'll have them back in 6 months. Highly recommend this professional company. read more

I'm not usually one to review businesses, but I've been so pleased with Carter's that I feel compelled to let others know about them. The first time they came out, my dog had brought fleas inside, which quickly infested my house. I had an infant and was so grossed out, and they came out the same day I called. The cleaning was fantastic and the service was great. We used them again last week and again, the service was more than I expected. The owner called to set up our appointment after I left a message, and the young men who came out were courteous, professional, and knew what they were talking about. My carpets look great. A few days after the service, we got a follow up call to ensure we were happy. If I can support my local businesses, I'm all about it...wish they were all like this! read more

I recently hired Carters to clean my sectional couch and barstools, and I couldn't be happier with the results! From start to finish, the experience was fantastic. I could not be more happy with the service by Carter Company. I saw an add for them and was NOT happy with my last cleaning service as they said the traffic areas could not be cleaned and it was just wearing out there. This young man from Carter Co. treated the most traffic areas and got my carpet to look like brand new again. He put a Scotch Guard treatment on it after he ran fans to dry the carpet. He also gave me a 10% discount on the cleaning. I was having my carpet cleaned because my husband was having surgery and I needed the house sanitized. Don't get me wrong.....the cleaning service was great and the guys were friendly but the pricing was terrible! The reason i chose this company is due to the fact that they have a per foot price and no hidden charges. SO THEY SAY! The cleaners arrived here and proceeded to tell me of all the pre-treatments, odor treatments, etc that I needed due to animal stains. Really? We only ended up doing half of our house because that is all we could afford after they quoted us a price with all the treatments. Oh, and the guy actually took one treatment off the quote when we balked at the price and gave us a deal on the other treatment. 5 out of 5 stars. Greg and Jose arrived at 8:15am on July 4th. In 2 hours they cleaned my living room carpet, hardwood floors in dining room and hallway. They also cleaned the tile in the entry way, in front of my fireplace and my master bathroom. I cannot believe how the floors shine! I cannot believe how great the carpet looks! My whole house smells so clean. I will definitely use Carter's again and when I need my other rooms cleaned I will ask for Greg and Jose again! They were so nice and professional. Carter's hired two hardworking men who know their business and do what it takes to get the job done right and efficiently! I am so very happy! Well worth the investment! I highly recommend! read more
