In the past, we have sub-contracted several crane service operators for our HVAC installs but American Crane Services in Odessa was one mistake we are not willing to make again. Called to setup appointment gave them information they asked for. Called the day prior to confirm appointment and they had misplaced the address of where they were needing to be. Well that was a red flag but needed service because other cranes where not available when we needed. They were there to provide the service we needed but in the process damaged homeowners property! This was very upsetting for both the property owner and us. After several attempts we were able to talk to the owner of American Crane Services. They agreed to pay for damages but they kept giving the run around. The Owner implied that after the fact that they always had hiccups but the hiccups never make it to court. My opinion is that they don't do right because they know they can get away with it. They ended not paying for the damage they caused. Of course we were not going to let this experience go south so we ended up rectifying the situation with our customer by paying for the damages ourselves. At the end our customer was satisfied with our services. American Cranes of Odessa was very unprofessional, rude, and used foul language. Will not be using them in the future. read more

Friendliest quirkiest group of people ever! You can tell everyone working there enjoys their job. Pricing seems to be steered towards how the economy is doing & they work with you big plus. Onsite safety training for so many different things. It's kind of an all you can eat buffet for your company wether it be repairing trucks & cranes, renting cranes, safety training, safety supplies, they even do dielectric testing for electric companies! read more

Established in 2001.

We're a locally owned and operated family business that started in 2001 as crane service and training facility. 13 years later, we've added a few more departments and have just moved into a new building to help accommodate the growth of our business. You could say we're now a One-Stop-Shop for the crane industry. We rent cranes up to 275 Tons, we still repair cranes of all makes and models both in our shop and in the field. We still provide the best training for crane operators in the area. We are the only crane operator training facility in the local area to offer a national crane operator certification in the classroom and for practical exam. We service and inspect overhead bridge cranes, we service and inspect all crane service trucks. We sell safety supplies such as: H2S Monitors, Hard Hats, Safety Glasses, First Aid Kits, Fire Extinguishers, and FR clothing. Johnny and Billy Clements (CLS owners) were a very pleasant surprise in Midland! They showed up…read morewhen they said they would, fixed the low pressure front yard station and non functioning back yard station that I called them to fix. But then, they identified several other issues - water main only 1/2 ON, leaking underground pipes, back yard valves with no covers (and one under a poured patio!) and some heads that weren't doing the job. They told me what problems I had, told me how much it would cost to make right (VERY reasonable) and set to work doing the work with no wasted time or effort. The work was done extremely well - on budget - and my front and back lawn sprinklers are now working as they should have when first installed. Fixed front and rear stations, leaking pipes, head replacements and construction of a new back yard valve and sprinkler location - five hours, $500 labor AND PARTS! VERY REASONABLE FOR THE WORK DONE AND DONE RGHT! I greatly respect Johnny and Billy for their integrity, work ethic, knowledge and professionalism. Need sprinkler repair or new construction? CALL Johnny and Billy at CLS FIRST!! You will be very pleased your did!

I had a professionally prepared estimate the following morning. I needed 3 large flower beds cleaned and re-mulched, including planting some shade tolerant plants. I also had a holly tree to be removed and a red oak tree cleaned up. I also needed to have my sprinkler system inspected and replace several bad sprinklers. I was very fortunate that they had a delay on another job and they were able to schedule me on Monday 03/02. Kristopher and his crew showed up on time and began to work.
