I am sharing this review so others are aware before pursuing dental implant services here. After receiving implant work at this practice, I sought two independent second opinions from specialists in North Carolina. Both confirmed in writing that the implants must be removed and replaced due to improper placement and complications. This will result in additional expense, corrective surgery, and a great deal of stress. I have submitted a full refund request with documentation. I hope the company will take responsibility and resolve this professionally. Patients considering implants should be sure to get thorough consultations and second opinions before moving forward. read more

Worst experience at a dentist office. The "Dr." Was very unprofessional and arrogant. Even after he was told the Novocain hadn't kick in yet he still kept cutting and digging. He refused to believe that there was pain. Instead of waiting a few more minutes he just refused to finish the job and just rescheduled for a later date. My son had wisdom teeth removed today. He chose this provider because they participated with his insurance. I can't speak to the results yet but the office is the most fly-by-night low quality place I've ever seen. They essentially sent him out the minute his eyes opened after anesthesia. He could barely walk. The dental tech rattled information at 100 mph and the written instructions didn't include most of it. You can't call to ask questions because they don't answer. I'm a doctor and I've never seen patients rushed through with essentially no post op care in a legitimate establishment. If I had seen it first I would have gladly paid out of pocket for a reasonable place, but my son is an adult and this was his choice. This is a mill where they whip teeth out, push you out to the car, and wash their hands of responsibility. If you can afford not to use this place for wisdom tooth removal, don't. You get what you pay for. read more

Straight up, a very professional environment. As a Gen Z, this place is straight up valid. I had 4 of my wisdom teeth removed. Office personnel were very nice and respectful, the only complaint I have is, they did not have any Spider-Man stickers.. will be returning for sure. Hello, This is the second review regarding my experience with American Dental Solution. After I've posted my first review on May 11, 2023, the same person who invites everybody to contact her for resolving the problem we post it, J. Trish, has contacted me and promised she will check with the General Manager and she will come back to me with a resolution. She did. Guess what was the resolution? They will refund my insurance for the amount they've charged before they've started to work on my Mandibular partial denture that was never delivered to me, but they WILL CHARGE ME for the amount paid to my Insurance. In other words, now it's not only that I do not have the denture, but I have to pay for it. PAY FOR NOTHING!!! That's how they understand to make a refund!!! Since then, she has never responded to my phone calls!! This is how they resolve our complaints. read more

Had a tooth pulled on the 23rd. Developed what the on call doctor thinks is dry socket. It's an awful pain radiating to my face and a constant 7. Was told at 3pm today by on call dentist that they would call in pain medication. Waited and called the pharmacy and the emergency line as it's been four hours now. Pharmacy said they never talked to anyone from doctors office. Finally after fourth call to the emergency call line, they said doctor told them they couldn't call it in. It is now past 7 and now all dentists offices are closed. Asked for dentist to call me back. He called back and was contradictory of himself. Stated he called pharmacy and they wouldn't allow him to call it in, not true, pharmacy stated they didn't talk to him. He then stated that PA doesn't allow call in of pain medication over the phone, asked if he knew this why he would tell me he could and why he wouldn't just email or tell me to pick up a RX. He said he did all he could. He did not. This is about as unprofessional as they come. The on call oral surgeon promised to do something he could not, either he knew and lied or found out later and did nothing to fix the situation. If he found out he could have called and updated me with a solution and not wait around in pain for hours and tell me he cannot do anything. Why he couldn't just call me and tell me to pick up a Rx or email it, I have no idea. ....in the office they were telling me to call my dentist pretending to cry to get my referral fixed. Yet here I'am really crying in pain and they do nothing when they could have done something.... The final solution ( surgeon recommended) for me to just go to urgent care and ask for pain medications. I know most doctors are hesitant about treating pain for patients that are not theirs. After any type of surgery it is the responsibility of the treating surgeon to treat for pain/complications. This situation could have been prevented if they suggested that I pick up Rx or email per law. Now it is too late and I'm left in pain with no real way to fix it. read more

I'm not sure how I feel about my experience here. I had a crown-gone-wrong extracted a few days ago and was a little surprised that after the 5 minute procedure I was just given a small bag with an instant cold pack and a ziplock bag with a few gauze in it and sent on my way. I was told to take a couple Advil or Tylenol and follow the directions on the paper provided. Ibuprofen or Acetaminophen only does so much to help with pain management, and although I understand and respect that prescribing doctors need to be careful with stronger pain meds, I feel like the amount of pain I have been experiencing over the past 3 days has been too much for the effectiveness of Advil. In addition to the surprise of the pain management plan, I also don't know how well the extraction went overall? I have a very sharp spot that is a piece of tooth that is poking into my cheek as well as what looks to be other tooth pieces remaining. Maybe things are going as expected and this is the typical experience, but having one of my big molars extracted/drilled out of my mouth and pretty much just told to put gauze on it and take some Advil, just seems odd with the amount of pain I am left in. I also agree with another review. Trying to convince/upswell while patients are waiting for dental extractions just doesn't sit well with me. Doesn't seem like the time that should be discussed. If I received a call in advance providing me with options and pricing, that would give me enough time to weigh my options and be educated, rather than feeling pressured into making a significant financial decision right before having a tooth removed from my mouth. read more

American Dental Solutions is a conglomerate, money hungry business! I went in for a cleaning and was told I had periodontal disease and needed gum scraping treatment immediately to the tune of $400 and change for one side of my mouth. The next day when I went it was all of a sudden $900 and change OOP! Then we still go another bill. This was all after insurance. I had my husband on the phone with them so they could explain to him why the price when up $500 overnight! The other side of my mouth couldn't be done because one tooth needed a root canal. So, I got that done but dentist (same company) said I needed tooth lengthening in order for him to do a crown. He wouldn't even do a temporary crown. He put in a very, very small amount of filling, allowing the tooth to eventually break! They scare you into doing and getting unnecessary and expensive procedures. They also DO NOT like if you understand and know your own insurance coverage and challenge them on the prices they are quoting. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THEM AGAIN NOR RECOMMEND THEM EVER! I now have a great dentist who is by the way still waiting for American Dental Solution to send them my records and x-rays which I signed off on to be released! BEWARE!!!!! read more

I have been a patient here for the last six years. Without ANY prior notice, however, there was a sign on the front door that all patients would have to pay an extra $10 to provide PPE for their employees. How tacky and unprofessional is that! All businesses and individuals now are doing their part during this pandemic, but this entity thinks they should make money off the situation, or at the very least break even. How pathethic! I took my exrays and am looking for a provider that cares about the community that they service. read more

I have always received quick appointments, professional treatment, friendly greetings, thorough cleanings, along with great advice on treatments and understanding of my Gluten Free needs. When I was a kid we never went to the dentist. We always seen the school dentist. He was an alcoholic and pulled a tooth of mine without giving me novacain. Since then I was scared to death of dentists. Also when I was young I was hit in the mouth with a croquet mallet. My parents never did anything. So needless to say I had a lot of teeth problems. It got so bad I finally broke down and went to the dentist.I had to have a lot of work done. Thanks to Dr Runkle I am no longer afraid of the dentist. I drive 50 minutes to this practice. The staff are so friendly and they take really good care of you. I have been going here almost 2 years and I will keep going. Thank you for all the work you have done and will do in the future. I never go back to this place again. My husband got dentures from them about 4 years ago. He has Alzheimer's and didn't wear them often. He lost a lot of weight so I took him back to see about getting the dentures realigned. They put him into a treatment room but the dentist NEVER EVEN CAME INTO THE ROOM!!! The man who handles the financing came in and sat into the dentist's chair and started talking about new dentures! How could they even know that he needed new ones when the dentist never even checked him. What a rip-off. Took him to my dentist and they realigned them at minimal cost. read more

I switched to ADS after I moved into the area and I can honestly say they have the most horrible, unprofessional service I've ever experienced. My first visit resulted in my dentist telling me that I had no choice but to buy these extra products that were not covered under my insurance. She did not ask if I wanted to try them or if it was something I was interested in. She told me you need this and I'll take it up front for you to be added to your bill. Excuse me, but since when does someone have the right to tell me what I'm spending my money on? I paid cash for my visit and a few weeks later was billed along with a letter stating that I needed to pay for my visit! I had already paid!!! The exact same thing happened the second visit with the billing. I paid cash and kept my receipt this time just in case and sure enough I received a bill in the mail saying it was never paid. These people are so incompetent in their jobs that it's ridiculous. I then decided to switch dentists and I filled out the records release form which specifically stated the records transfer will be handled within 48 business hours. Not only did one of the receptionists come into my work and make me feel guilty about leaving their business, but it is now 4 business days later, and I'm still without my records. Take your business elsewhere! They are not worth the wasted time or headache! read more

I came in for an emergency extraction due to an upcoming vacation. I am a patient of the Exeter practice whom I am extremely satisfied with. While waiting to have my procedure two members of the staff tried to upsell a $700 bone graph and $3100 implant to me which were not in my future plans. I had discussed a bridge with my doctor in Exeter and had made plans to discuss it at my next visit. The receptionist at kenhorst told me that the implant and bridge are basically the same price but would not give me the price of the bridge until after the procedure. They were insisting that I would need the bone grafts and asked if I had $700 now. All this is taking place while I am already stressed out about losing an abcessed painful tooth prior to leaving on vacation. I don't make financial decisions without speaking to my husband and decided to forego the bone graft which completely changed the mood of the entire visit. I felt like I was being scolded for not doing it. Even the receptionist who was very bubbly in the beginning barely spoke to me as she handed me a copy of the breakdown between the bridge and implant. Surprise surprise my out of pocket for a bridge was less than $950 as compared to $1700 for an implant plus the graft. Not cool. Very unprofessional especially putting someone in that situation while sitting in the chair stressed out about being there in the first place. Worst customer service I have experienced in a long time and I don't have a problem sharing because I work too hard for my money as do others. Thankfully I worked in the medical field (billing) and had the foresight to wait for all my options. There are plenty of people who don't and unfortunately those are the people that you successfully take advantage of and that is just what you are doing. Shame on you. I will be sharing. read more

This office has been taking care of my wife and kids for years, I got to take my son there for his cleaning, first time, my wife goes there with them, very nice, friendly, the doc was nice, the hygienist Barb, nice. I got to meet the office manger Leo, we talked for about 15 min, really nice guy. Tho he had people waiting there, he made sure we finished our talk about cars, nothing to do with teeth. My dentist office is ok but nobody really talks to u, go in, get out. The dentist did some work on my wife, quality, not cheap but looks nice. I'm do for my cleaning in February, I'm calling Leo to switch. read more
