Great place for walk ins and american traditional style! I went in with my two friends on a Sunday evening 1 hour before closing. We were greeted right away by friendly faces. We all wanted something a little different to commemorate our annual girls trip. I have a full sleeve already and lots of leg tattoos, one of us had only 2 tattoos, and the other is somewhere between so we all have different levels of experience getting tattooed. The shop has an old school aesthetic but without the traditional too tough to be kind and helpful vibe. Everyone was very friendly. They answered all our questions and drew up exactly what we wanted. The prices were reasonable and the quality was top notch! My friend even got new nose jewelry that the piercer changed for her. The highest praise I can give him is that if you look at other stuff in his portfolio, it doesn't look like the tattoos I've gotten, and yet, he consistently does exactly what I ask for. I never write reviews but I felt like I had to this time because my experience was so good!. I reached out to American Dream Tattoo late July to ask if they can do a 5-person matching tattoo in one appointment. I was able to DM Cielo on Instagram and she immediately responded. I sent her our idea of an outline of a toy soldier with some writing below it. We recently lost one of our cousins and so we wanted to get a matching tattoo to commemorate him. We got a price quote from Cielo and she asked us to drop off the deposit in cash. Later on that week, I went to the shop. The shop is located across the street from the Chuck E. Cheese we all spent our entire childhood at. What a full circle moment for us. I met with Carmine who took our deposit and set up our appointment for late August with him, Cielo and TKO. Fast forward to our appointment, we took the first available on Saturday which was at 12:30pm. I brought the image and text we all wanted and the artists started stenciling. Each tattoo took about 30 minutes! This included the shaving, placing the stencil and the actual tattoo. We were in and out in a little over 2 hours. Recommend Mike if you're looking for black and white with great detail. Walked in to set up something and met Mike. I pitched my first piece of the batman piece; we were able to get the piece done in one sitting of almost 10 hours - he was fine with stopping, but it was more on me wanting to see it done. Piece was great and came back months later for a second. Architecture that I also wanted black and white. This was also done in a single session. Pricing was solid for both pieces and loved the result. I've been wanting to have tattoo forever (the past 15 yrs). And finally I did get one today as my own self care . I was very nervous. Kept browsing for designs, tattoo artists, with a bunch of "what ifs" in my mind. Finally I drew a sketch based on my kids' Chinese zodiacs, found Mike from YELP, fell in love with his arts (Yelp and IG), and contact him through IG. He is very fast and responsive replying to IG messages, it made it easier to communicate (lots of tattoo artists that I contacted before, took a week or more before replying). From the initial interaction (which is from October 2019), to today, Mike was very patience in answering my questions, easing my worries and catering me in changing the appointment's dates couple times. Today, Mike explained what was going to happened, what to be expected. And the first couple zapped, he did it slowly (2-3 seconds each), until I could tolerate it better and it was longer seconds. I've been wanting a tattoo for years. Truth be told, i wanted a tattoo before i even got my nose piercing but i just never knew exactly what i wanted. Within the last 4 months, i was set on getting 1990 above my elbow - however i went to bed one night and a idea popped in my head. within a week, i was walking into American Dream super nervous and sweaty but ready to get inked. This place was highly recommended by my best friend who comes here. Since I was a walk in, I told them what I wanted and within minutes, they referred me to Mike. He printed out a sample and it was honestly the perfect size and font in ONE TRY. Within minutes, i was seated and he put the stencil on me. Honestly though, I was shaking inside because i didn't know what to expect and i was scared. I asked to use the restroom first lol so after that, i felt a little more calm but Mike was super nice and patience and told me he'd rather get 10 tattoos then another nose piercing. After a few moments we started and it was like what everyone told me. A slight scratching sensation - think, someone using the ends of a paperclip and running it along your skin. My tattoo was done in about 15 minutes and I am obsessed! The shop has a minimum of $80 - which honestly is fine by me. I know people say there are places I could've gone to that would've been much cheaper but i felt like it wouldn't of been the same experience. Definitely coming back here if i ever want anymore (which i do have a few more in mind) and i've been recommending this place to everyone i know. read more

Atmosphere is lade back with classic rock vibing in the background. Very clean and spacious parlor with plenty to check out while waiting your turn to get inked up. I came in for a small addition to my arm that took about an hour and a half. My piece was decent but could of used better line work but overall satisfied. Out of all the artist I'm guessing I got stuck with the newbie from all the chatter that was being scattered around the shop. Since I was new to the shop I kinda understood they wanted to break in the new guy but at my expense. So be it, we live and learn the hard way sometimes. But I would comeback to the shop if I ever wanted to get certain pieces they seem famous for. Overall it's a good shop, just do your homework before choosing an artist.
