Inside was very clean and had 2 waiting areas as they prepared their station. Upon paying for the service, you will need to sign a liability form before they begin the process. She thoroughly explained everything and answered any questions along the way. The professionalism, value, and quality of the piercings were well worth. Piercings were hypoallergenic and stainless steel. Overall a great experience and would definitely rebook for more piercings. I will note that since they use a needle rather than piercing gun, it could be a bit intimidating and a slower process that might be more painful for younger customers or those with less of a pain tolerance. They even allowed my husband to take some photo and video during the process. I would not trust this business for anything related to piercings. I came in for a basic downsize (piercings were done somewhere else), and I didn't realize it at the moment but my earring that was downsized was not fully secured. My earring fell out the next morning and likely fell down my shower drain, which should've been impossible as this was a screw-in threaded earring. Once screwed on, those things absolutely cannot fall out on their own. The person who performed the downsize was kind, but if an earring can't be properly secured then I would not go to this business for anything. I've gotten many piercings and downsize services at reputable studios, and it's a no-brainer that your jewelry should be properly secured. This piece of jewelry was almost $200, so I'll just have to eat that cost unfortunately. read more

Their space is very clean and has cute artwork on the walls, and we were greeted warmly and assisted immediately! Rita was such an amazing artist! They used a needle for the cartilage which does less damage and less infected. We did not have any bleeding and the pain was moderate. They do not numb the space but it is. Quick pinch process. She's super nice and cute and very detailed with her work and even gave me a gift (a mini portable fan) to take home after my tattoo. She uses Dynamic Ink which is great if youre vegan like me and are worried about non vegan ink. Studio itself is very cool. Lotta open space and modern design and there is flash designs EVERYWHERE. All the artists speak fluent Mandarin too which is cool. I talked a bit with Jocelyn after the tattoo in Mandarin and was fun practicing my Mandarin. They all speak English pretty well too, but are a bit shy with it. Pricing is great! My tattoo was 8 inches and was $620, and I won a $20 off coupon so ended up being $600 before tip. Inch for inch, I think this is the best priced tattoo I've gotten. Already planning another foo-dog tattoo for my forearm. Payment is in cash or Zelle, which is great! Lotta shops are cash only and it can be annoying getting the cash from the ATM so appreciated the Zelle option. It's awesome having a tattoo shop in DB/Walnut area! I believe they are the only ones as of the writing of this comment. If you are in the area looking to get inked, this is your shop! Lots of openings right now as they are still pretty new. When I found Golden Eye's page and saw Rita and Jocelyn's work, I knew they both had not just the skills but also the experience in the design style I wanted. I contacted Golden Eye and explained what I was looking for, they recommended Rita, and I worked with her on my design until I was happy with it. When my wife heard I was getting a new tattoo she sent me an image that she was interested in getting, I went through Rita's IG page and found a similar design, and knew she was the right person for my wife, too. Even better, Rita was able to work my wife in at the same time, and so we both got new tattoos together. While Rita was working on my wife's tattoo Jocelyn came out and chatted with her, and complimented her work. High praise considering how talented Jocelyn herself is, and for good reason; when I saw the finished piece it was amazing. Crisp lines and outstanding, intricate detail, it was even better than the original design. Fast forward a couple of hours and I had a new tattoo that was also amazing. Rita does incredible work. i found jocelyn on instagram while looking for a tattoo artist anywhere in los angeles/orange county and stumbled across her page. i loved her work so i shot her a dm and she responded very quickly. i told her what i was wanting for a custom and was able to book an appointment with a $50 deposit and the design is free with booking an appointment. she was able to change up the design to make sure it met my expectations and it was so beautiful. it was my first time ever getting a tattoo and when i arrived, the entire studio was very clean and there were flashes in picture frames all over the walls and a table with flash books to look at while waiting. i was attended to immediately when i arrived by ranger and he told me to wait a moment as jocelyn was making the flash for my tattoo. once she was ready she immediately showed it to me to make sure it was good, took me to a mirror for placing, got me prepped, and made sure i was comfortable. she asked if i wanted numbing cream but i declined because i wanted to know what the pain will feel like and i barely felt any pain. she was very gentle during the whole process and said to let her know if i needed any breaks. after the tattoo was finished she took me to the mirror again to look at it (it was AMAZING) and then gave me a goody bag with a portable fan and told me aftercare instructions and that if anything is wrong in a month, she can do a touch up for free. i paid in cash (they offer cash and zelle payments), then ranger gave me some ointment and also said i can come back in a month if anything is wrong and that the shop does free touch ups. overall, first experience was absolutely amazing and all the tattoo artists there have amazing work. i paid $200 for a 3 inch tattoo which was actually a really good price for the work done and customer experience. 100% recommend coming here. you can check out all the other artists' and their work on instagram :) read more

Jocelyn did great on the tattoo itself, however, there is a huge language barrier. I had requested for a tattoo of my dog and wanted to see if it were possible for her to recreate what I wanted. Every drawing she provided was not what I wanted at all, and so I ended up not getting that and a different tattoo. She ended up charging $40 for the drawing, but there was no mention at all of a fee for her drawings. Additionally, I had my friend draw the tattoo I ended up getting and it is what Jocelyn ended up tattooing on me. I went in for a touch up today after having it for 2 months, and I noticed the stencil was up on their flash tattoo board which everyone can see as they enter the building. I was so shocked to see it up on there as she did not ask if she could put it up and this art is extremely personal to me. This art was not anything she created and she simply copied the art and tattooed it on me. She has no ownership over the art, considering I paid $300+ to have it tatted on me. I also had an appointment set for 3pm, which I showed up on time for. Yet, she took in what seemed like walk-in people before me. I ended up waiting around 40 minutes. TLDR; Bad service, good tattooing technique. Come with pre-drawn art exactly how you want it and you'll get it. But they will probably put it up on their board for other people to also get!! read more

I got tattooed by Rita because her instagram showed promising art. I got a total of two tattoos from her flash sheet for the Friday the 13th promotion. I liked one of the tattoos. However I was quickly disappointed when she gave me a tattoo that I did not think matched the art on the sheet she showed. I believe she rushed the tattoo and didn't use the proper technique required for the tattoo, which is dot work. I can't say for sure that she did or didn't do something required for the tattoo, but after speaking to multiple different artists they all do claim that the dot work was way too dense and compact not light and feathery. I do believe it's probably just because she was rushing but I am so so disappointed in her work especially because I felt she was not putting in thought and care. Although she said to wait a month for it to "fade" and to come back if I want adjustments, I just can't see how she would fix this honestly bad tattoo. Unfortunately, I am never coming back here again and sadly will never let Rita tattoo me ever again. read more
