Such a clean and well organized store. I found everything that I needed right away and didn't need to dig through piles of things. They really have made a come back and even the checkout is much more organized than it used to. It helps that they had a great 60% off clearance sale and sent a random coupon so I got a massive deal. Typically really love shopping at American eagle specifically aerie. However the past couple of times I have gone, I have walked out of the store carrying my items in hand because ridiculously, the company (or at least this store) is forcing you to buy a reusable bag for a dollar to carry the items you just purchased as they no longer offer bags (as in the disposable ones). Disappointing and embarrassing having to walk out of the store carrying your items and walking around the mall holding clothes after spending hundreds of dollars because you refuse to be forced to spend another ten to fifteen dollars on bags. Treat your customers better. The new policy is a money grab and your staff is condescending and rude. Switching to online shopping from now on and if I have returns, I'll specifically bring them to this store to subtract them from going green (hitting their sales goals). Luckily the surrounding stores in the mall also find the new policy ridiculous and if you ask them nicely, they will give you a bag without you even having to purchase anything from them. On April 28th I went into American Eagle at the Cerritos Mall to purchase a Mother's Day gift. When I shop for a gift, I am usually looking for something "different." And American Eagle actually had something that caught my eye (a pullover sweater). As I was checking out the Sales Associate, Catherine, assisted me and she was so nice. She was very patient as I was also applying for a credit card and their computers were acting up a bit. She had such a pleasant personality that I had to post this review. The return process is more frustrating than it needs to be. They WILL ask you for ALL of your info in order to let you return stuff; full name, address, phone number. Like, why do you need all of that?? I'm never buying from here again. I've never been asked for this anywhere, especially if you have your proof of purchase (online order confirmation). I read their return policy online and it didn't mention anything about having to disclose personal info. AE is a bit ridiculous. The lady who helped, after the two young Latino employees gave up, used an extremely rude tone. I'm NEVER going to step foot in another AE or order anything online again. I had a great experience shopping for jeans thanks to Taylor. I normally struggle finding a pair that will fit both my hips and waist and Taylor recommended the curvy fit jeans with stretch. This place is so so disorganized and unwelcoming. I wanted to try something on so i waited for a bit by the dressing room so then i went to the register to ask if someone could please help me. Then I was told i have to go to the aerie side to try something on. Ok fine. I try the item on and try to purchase on the aerie side and am told I have to back to the other side, American eagle to pay even though the girl was not even doing anything . Great customer service! I was greeted by 3 different staff throughout my visit who were genuinely nice and helpful. The layout of the store was well organized and clean. I lover their huge selection of distressed jeans which I actually came in for. The staff were knowledgeable with their products and were able to provide me with a wide variety of selections. The fitting room attendant, Nicole stood out the most due to her great customer service skills. She provided me with the feedbacks and recommendations that I needed to assist me with making my final selection. Pricing wise, I would say great!. $50 for distressed jeans is very reasonable and affordable. I heard the manager verbally abusing her employees at 3:30 August 9. I basically heard her tell a young worker on the floor "I don't want to fucking hear it" and walk away. Apparently, she was getting on this girl's case for having long conversations with customers. And let me tell you, this girl was so friendly and sweet, she did not deserve to be verbally abused like that. The floor employees were great, all friendly, but that manager is super off putting and made me want to leave. Something needs to be done about those managers. read more

So I've been to American Eagle Outfitters before and have been a long time buyer of jeans, pollos and jackets. I can honestly say the customer satisfaction rate has always been high but this particular store blows it out of the roof. After ordering the wrong jeans on Thanksgiving, my Black Friday deal was practically over. I got the pants and saw online that I could return them at the store. This location is easily accessed and never crowded. The store attending was able to return, order, and ship out new pants for the same price as the ones in stock. Honestly I was very relieved at how helpful they were. Consider myself a repeat customer! read more

Horrible Location. Walked in to browse around with my bf for vacation clothing on March 15. I wasn't looking for anything specific and a few associates asked for my help when I was walking around but I didn't need it. As we were walking out I saw I dressed I liked my bf suggested I tried it on which I did. An associate walked me to a fitting room which I took two of the same items in different sizes to try. The first one I tried on worked out and left the other one in the rack outside the fitting room. We went straight to check out and a girl helped us out, I didn't pay attention to her name bc I didn't think There was an issue until afterwards. The total was $70 which I paid in cash with 3 $20 and 1 $10 bill. The cashier then went ahead and checked the bills through the machine. I thought it was kind of weird that she would check a $10 since retail usually does $50 and up but I didn't say anything about it. She then proceeded to say in the Walkie " yes I checked them" as she putting the money in. Me and my bf stepped out and that's when we both realized they were profiling us and assuming we were giving them fake bills just for our appearance. Keep in mind we weren't doing ANYTHING out of the ordinary and we paid with small bills. VERY unprofessional from them to be talking about us in the walkie like if we were criminals when we were just trying to purchase an item like everyone else. Horrible staff. I believe her name was Diana who is a manager was incredibly rude to me and to one of her store associates. She seemed like she was having an awful day and took it out on everyone. I asked customers around if they've been here before and they answered yes but they never ask for her help because she's always in a horrible mood. I felt so bad for the employee who had to deal with her. American Eagle, do better in who you hire as a manager. I have been an on-and-off fan of American Eagle for years. Started out in my preppy days in high school where I would buy all their polos, in a variety of colors, and their jeans, and belts, etc. Then I became more a bum/hobo chic and American Eagle did not appeal to me anymore. Recently I discovered that they have really nice jeans, high quality (doesn't get holes in the crotch like Hot Topic jeans), and at a decent price. And their skinny jeans are the perfect fit for me, not too tight, but tight enough to show off my greatest ASSet. ;) And they bunch up perfect around the ankle, but can easily be rolled up if you're looking for that look. Customer service has always been VERY friendly at American Eagle. I believe the time I went to this American Eagle the guy at the register chatted with mama and me while he bagged all of our stuff. And their point system is really good! If you can keep up with it! I remember back in high school I would accumulate a lot of points and you get discounts and free stuff after awhile. I haven't visited American Eagle in forever but I'm very glad I stopped in to check it out because they had the jean shorts I've been looking for!! I guess the style these days for jean shorts are to cuff the bottoms, but I really don't like how that looks. Thus I've been searching for some shorts that are sewn normally on the bottom but it's been a nightmare trying to find some!! I was just about to give up when I was spotted some plain, normal looking denim shorts near the back of this store. I tried them on and BAM perfection.
