This location was too upscale to be a fingerprinting service! It's in a multi purpose office building where you can't take the elevator unless security escorts you (very high profile) My appointment was for 10:00 am and they seen me at 10:02 am, I loved the punctuality! The fingerprint technician was professional, knowledgeable and kind. She new exactly what I needed, I went to identigo before coming here. Identigo misled me and made me waste my money. Maryland board of nursing required me to send their fingerprint card to the CJIS for a background check and identigo gave me an entirely different fingerprint card & stated it would be viable, & it wasn't because the card itself lacked a tracking number. read more

Jan 2020, we live scanned my significant other's fingerprints here for FBI background checks. FBI rejected for "poor quality". I worked with the owner to re-take her finger prints again in summer, fall, November...each new submission to FBI costs me $30 for postage and fees. Now $200 invested in failed attempts and scan free, I received another rejection letter in December. Needing a working live scan, I had ONE set taken at American Identity Solutions - Germantown, and the FBI approved the prints and quickly sent us her background check. go somewhere else. Pre-coronavirus 2019. I have been to this fingerprinting office twice. First time went smoothly , the experience was as expected and reasonable time in and out. I interacted with the receptionist and an employee. Coronavirus 2020 - I had to do another fingerprinting task for employment , I was happy they were open by appointment. The building is closed to this office unless one of their employees opens the door for you. The instructions are not clear. I was transferred 3 times before someone said I will be down to get you. After maintenance let me in the building I waited. A disgruntled employee greeted with frustration for "wasting [ his. ] time." Very uncomfortable experience, unprofessional , and at the end found out they are unable to perform live scans to anywhere but the state of Maryland. Instead of helping further - he picked up a phone call in front of me and ignored me . Instead of offering hard copy finger printing - an optION I would later find to be suitable - he was disrespectful and unhelpful . I asked for his card - to find he was the was the owner! OTTO TROXLER This is a frustrated, unhappy, disrespectful, unprofessional, unhelpful, defensive owner. I would not trust or recommend his business. Give your money to someone else with better parking, office, building hours, and customer service. When students would contact Otto Troxler to resolve their issues with his services, he would direct them to me for whatever reason. We have obviously since moved onto much more professional and competent fingerprint service companies. I have never been treated as poorly by someone I was trying to give my business to than by this man. He was rude on the phone, rude when I showed up and even worse when I sat down. He refused to answer any questions about the fingerprinting process, accused me of being rude to him and then lost his temper and started yelling. I got up and started to leave. As I was waiting for the elevator he tried to call the police despite the fact that all I was trying to do was leave and get away from his horrible temper. Needed 2 fingerprint cards done within 48 hrs for a job and I didn't get the FedEx until late Friday! Panic ensues. Frantically searching google and I can't find anywhere that is open past 4:00pm on a weekday. Strike 1. I contemplate what kind of story I can concoct to tell this employer that I cannot get my prints done. Nothing comes to mind. I call the city and county police depts. Both officers I speak with are super nice but inform me that they only do electronic (non ink) prints and they only do prints a few times a month, during the weekday, midday. Strike 2. I expand my search zone to 25 miles on google and *presto* I find American Fingerprinting Services. I visit their site and see that they are actually open on this Saturday (the NEXT day) from 10:00 - 12:00. Great success! The site warns that there average wait is 12 minutes, so I plan for this and give myself enough time to get it done...but when I get there I was greeted by the owners son who walked me in to the office and I was next in line. The owner was very nice, professional, knowledgeable, efficient. I was in and out in 3 or 4 minutes total. $24 for 2 cards, no hidden fees or charges, which seemed much lower than other companies in the area. The weekend hours are limited, but just enough to fit a standard customers needs. If I ever need prints again, I will come back to this company. I highly recommend them. read more

Very efficient and friendly service. I had checked online for other fingerprinting services for cards that needed to be completed for a job I am applying for and found very quickly that a lot of websites were difficult to navigate or gave incomplete information. Some sites had hours information but nothing about holiday hours (this was memorial day weekend) others had hours but did not include pricing information. American fingerprinting services had up-to-date information for each day of the holiday weekend and included clear amounts for pricing. Upon arrival, just like how it stated on the website, I called the number provided and someone came down to let me and a few others in. Once inside each person took about ten minutes to get thru which was great. On top of that the owner of the place was professional and helpful. Plus, you can do fingerprint cards without any messy ink (they just print them out). Would definitely go again and also recommend highly for those people who don't have time during the workweek to go get fingerprints done. Thanks! read more

They are scheduling appointments every 15 minutes during a pandemic. I did not realize it until I arrived and was told there was another appointment right behind me. There is only one person in the office. read more

Don't believe their website that says walk ins welcome, 12 minute wait. I got here at 430 pm (they close at 5) and they tried to turn me away! Their website is very very misleading. The people that do the finger printing are rude and have no customer service skills whatsoever. I wish I would have gone to a different center. read more

Had an absolutely ridiculous experience! Stay away. My appointment was at 10 am and I received a confirmation email with it. I was outside the building at 9:55 calling for someone to get me in the building. The receptionist transferred me to the owner who let me in the building with another client. While rudely walking in front of me not asking what I needed services for, the owner showed me away from the elevator shouting "TWO people only". I waited TWENTY FIVE minutes downstairs in the lobby trying to call and no one came to get me. The owner finally answered after 25 minutes saying my name wasn't on the list. What horrible organization, rudeness, and customer service. DONT come here and ruin your day. read more

This place was fast, efficient, and cheaper than other places in the area. The secretary, Anita, and the fingerprinter, Marie were extraordinarily friendly, prompt, and welcoming. This place does not take appointments and claims an average wait time of 12 minutes. I waited for over 2 hours, they had difficulty getting good quality prints, told me my prints were okay, then they took my $60. My fingerprints were rejected due to poor quality and when I called to ask for reimbursement the man who claimed to be the owner was extremely rude and refused any reimbursement. He stated that they get 200-300 poor quality prints each year and it is not his duty to tell people that those prints will likely be rejected. No, he just takes trusting customers' money. read more
