Was sitting at home bored one day and needed time to kill before my next project. I saw an ad for…read morean EMT School and decided to sign up. I had no expectations what so ever. I haven't been to school since getting my BFA in Film in 2009 from UNLV. Took the 5 week accelerated class with Amber as the instructor. She was tough but thorough. There was a lot of repeat takers in the class. I think if you just read the book and pay attention, you'll do just fine. Amber makes sure you understand everything and tries very hard to make you do well in the class. There was 42 students that started the class with me and only 19 people who finished. Of those 19 students, 5 of those students were 2nd attempts repeat takers. I didn't study at all or take any notes, but I did read the book from cover to cover and I did help other students study. I am not going the Fire Fighter Route, nor am I going the Paramedic Route. I took the class just because I was curious. For those future students, I would highly recommend taking her class. The class is structured so you can pass the NREMT Test in one try, or at least I hope.
