Off I went to Brunswick Floors. I walked in the showroom and within 10 minutes we were out the door heading to my home. He took measurements and we struck a deal right there - and the next day "BAM" carpet installed. Unreal - but it really happened. Great service, professional installers, and an outstanding / caring staff. Highly recommended. (Pst - a better rate too). Stop by and see them at the store off of HWY 40 - I did and I have the carpet and happy kids to prove it.

Envision the tv show Hoarders. When asked if they were going to remove the stuff in the bedrooms the predictable reply was no we are just emptying the container They did an excellent job of stacking all the boxes in the kitchen in front of and on top of the counters and were a little miffed when asked to relocate all of them to the dining room so I might have access to the things in the cupboards and use of the countertops Now you may be thinking they might be refunding or repairing or replacing to save their reputation as a local company - but you would be dead wrong Their solution was to draw up an entirely new contract with additional charges and new language as though 3 prior signed contracts did not already exist

Installation was truly amateur hour as our bare concrete floor was looked at by the store owner before we received a quote and the floor was inspected once again before the installer began but we still have issues on completition. On the first day the house was about half done when the installer left and we noticed the kitchen transition was cut very akwardly and the 1/4 round hastily cut around it. Also, the laminate was noisy and moved when walking on it in several places especially the hallway. We informed the installer the next day who proceeded to do nothing or mention any options for installing laminate over uneven concrete and we were told by the store owner that that's the way it is installed as its a floating floor and it's supposed to move. In the middle of the floor? On our trip to the store and a face to face She then goes on to tell us it's our fault the floor is moving and makes noise as we chose the direction of the laminate to go perpendicular to th long walls of the hallway instead of parallel to the long walls and thereby making the laminate weak. Really? They also left debris around the house from cutting all of our door jams too high. Now we gave a floor that creaks, pops and moves as well as huge gaps at every door jam. We post on their Facebook page as clearly the service and treatment we get from these people is without professionalism. They made a half hearted attempt to appease by returning to correct the transition and 1/4 round at the kitchen and they pulled up just the hallway to make adjustments and now the floor makes more noise than before. She says she wants to make us happy but her only offer is to come clean our house. She offered to have caulk installed at the door jams but that is not fixing what they damaged. She said replacing the door jams was not going to happen and is overkill. Truly not what we expected and we cannot afford a lawyer. I will never put laminate in my home again. I will never spend another dime at this place. We feel taken advantage of. They read this and want to make it right? Refund our money and replace the floor the right way or just keep the floor and give us our money back.

Installation Trauma…read more I was extremely disappointed by the service provided by Carpet One Floor and Home located in Jacksonville Beach. First, the installers were more than one hour late. Second, the lead installer wanted me to sign the completed work order before the work was completed. The door was not hung, the furniture was returned, and I had not inspected the installation. After calling the salesperson, the installers begrudgingly hung the door and returned the furniture. The lead installer stated, "I've done my good deed for the day." I was confused because my installation included furniture removal. After the installers left, I noticed dirty handprints left on my doors which I had to clean. Thirdly, upon their arrival I asked the installers to wear a mask. I could overhear one installer say "Are we still doing that?" Fourth, when I tried to vacuum the rug it was extremely difficult to push my vacuum over the carpet and the vacuum basket was full of carpet shedding. When I called the sales person she indicated that was normal. When I read the warranty pamphlet I found that this carpet required a specific vacuum due to its soft strands. A regular vacuum could damage the strands. Finally, the manager left a voice message apologizing for being late, failing to address the behavior of the installers. When I phoned the sales manager to discuss this matter and my experience, he never returned my phone call.

My carpet buying experience was very pleasant. Jeff, Maureen, Zach and Tina all were honest, courteous and fair. They were very knowledgeable and listened to what I wanted. I shopped around and chose American Flooring because I liked what I saw, they are local, and their pricing was competitive and use the best installers. My carpet arrived on schedule and Darren Harrison and Josh were at my home right on time. They did a fantastic job, my carpet looks and feels great! For two days they moved furniture and with obvious pride and skill they installed my carpet flawlessly. They listened to my concerns and I couldn't be happier with the job they did. They removed the old carpet and pad, swept before installing the new and moved all my furniture putting it back exactly from where it came. I am a real customer and so should you! read more

We had a great experience with ProTile & Marble and highly recommend this company…read more We were in the market for about 6 Months to have our shower stall in our master bathroom redone, it was about 20 yrs old and starting to leak, tiles were falling out, and generally just looked gross. We called several bathroom remodelers and got the run around a lot, this one only did plastic surround installs, that one seemed sketchy, etc. we had reluctantly settled on one, but every time we called we had to play phone tag with the coordinator and he wouldn't leave messages with any details just "hi, this is ____, call me back". They were asking for several thousand dollars for the work, but we didn't have a warm fuzzy feeling about the product we were going to get. In frustration, five days before starting work with that company we called Pro Tile just to make sure we were getting a good price. Chris came out the same day, walked through our concerns and heard our vision for the lay out. We told him we had a quote and just wanted to see where we were at. He told us he would draft something up and have it back to us the following day. From our previous experience with the other companies we didn't expect him to come through quickly. We were wrong. Chris came through with a detailed quote in under 12 hours. We were so surprised by his attention to detail we immediately dropped the other company even though Pro Tile came in with a higher quote. When we reviewed the quote to get started there was a misunderstanding on my part (I thought Tile was included in the quote) and Chris made it right on the spot. Demolition of the old shower started the following week, and progressed at a steady rate until we had to wait for the custom glass to come in. There was a lull in work for a couple of weeks as we waited on the glass and total work time took about 5.5 weeks. Though out the process the workers had access to our house, which initially I was hesitant about but as I met the ProTile employees and sub-contractors I realized that Chris does his due diligence in hiring quality employees. Everyone who came to our house was very personable and professional. Chris was in touch with us through out the entire project and updated us daily. If we had any issues or concerns he addressed them within 24 hours. We are very happy with the final product. We cannot recommend Pro Tile & Marble enough. We will definitely go through them in the future to see if they can help us on any project we have.

The majority owner makes any number of excuses and then simply stops responding. Honestly, if you have any other options with other renovation company, I'd seriously consider NOT using this one. One significant problem is that because they don't include high end appliances directly through their business, they take no responsibility for coordinating major appliance install, even if the appliance company says they will not put the decorative panels on. It leaves the homeowner completely unprotected. I suggest finding a renovation company that agrees to manage all pieces of the specified job!
