The only reason I am giving this is 1 is because we love our dog so much and I felt as though I have saved him from a puppy mill. Denise is a scam. I cannot even believe she has not shut down yet. I sent emails and called the number numerous times and she never got back to me. Finally, one Sunday she miraculously picked up her phone. I asked her I was interested in a goldendoodle and she said well you are in luck. We have a mini doodle you can pick up today if you would like. I was completely shocked because aren't there long waits for these dogs? I explained to her we were not in the market for a mini and wanted a standard. She then told me in a few weeks the dog would be ready to go home. I was so excited that there was actually a puppy available. She said she would call me back in a week or so. Never got a phone call back so I called Denise back. She seemed annoyed I was asking her how old the puppy was and when I could pick him up because I didn't want a call the night before saying he was ready. NOBODY DOES THAT, but she would!!!! Finally after lots of back and forth she said we could go to her "country home" (which was not pretty like her website, it looked run down and not sure if she even lives there) and look at the dogs available. We get there and she is not even there. It is her assistant Lisa. She was nice but seemed like she did not have exact answers. She showed us some puppies then was holding another one saying oh he's ready to go home too but he is 5200 because of his size and how cute he is!!! WHAT??? SO weird. We pick out our adorable Cosmo and Lisa tells us he is $4,200 when in fact I put a $500 deposit down and Denise said he was $4,000 on the phone. Again another LIE. The place looked sketchy, I don't understand how she has dogs available at all times, and she lies. Her website looks amazing and that is what we went by. Denise and her "breeding company" needs to be reexamined. I do not understand how someone like this can be in business still. I am writing this on Yelp because she will delete all negative responses on facebook. PLEASE PLEASE do your research and don't give her another ounce of money. She is not doing this correctly and I highly recommend you do your research. Look up her reviews on other sites besides her webpage and facebook. You will notice many people feel like me. I pray that this dishonesty and poor treatment of over breeding stops for the sake of these dogs. It makes me sick. read more

On October 10th I spoke to Denise of American Goldendoodles and explained to her that my best friend, Daisy of almost 12 years passed away unexpectedly and we also had a year old mini doodle, named Winni that needed a new sister. Denise was so wonderful and compassionate and told me she had 2 beautiful girls available and my husband and one of our children jumped in the car and off we went to Sutton, MA. We met Denise's assistant, Tina who was amazing and so knowledgeable. We met both females that were so beautiful and sweet and we decided on our Ellie girl. As Denise puts it, her dogs are the "Christie Brinkley of dogs" and she is spot on with that comment as they're absolutely gorgeous dogs. As we were bonding with Ellie we were able to meet Ellie's mom which she was soooo sweet and gave Ellie a little kiss (almost made me cry) and also met Ellie's dad and what a sweet boy he was. Tina and Denise were so amazing and so informative with giving us all the information we needed for Ellie. Denise's home is spectacular with a country setting, and the inside of her home is even more spectacular. Her home is pristine and for myself being a lover of interior design, I was able to see her gorgeous gourmet kitchen which is magazine worthy. Denise's passion and love of her dogs is so apparent when you go to her home. I can't say enough amazing things about our whole experience. Our Ellie girl is so loving and cuddly and has the best temperament and fits in to our family like a glove. It's been just a month having her as a part of our family and we love this little girl so much. She adores her big sister Winni and they're inseparable. It's been almost a month since we picked up our baby girl, Skadi, from American Goldendoodles and she has absolutely captured our hearts! Once the Mr. and I decided we wanted to add a puppy to our blended family I did a few weeks research on goldendoodle breeders throughout the whole East Coast. We live in CT but we were willing to drive up to 12 hours to pick up our forever baby. When I stumbled upon American Goldendoodles (as an Army Veteran I love the name!), I felt pretty confident we found a compassionate, humane, loving breeder and I had it narrowed down to them and a breeder out in PA. I'm so happy the first one to get back to me was American Goldendoodles. We drove up there the next day and it turned out they had exactly the pup for us. When Ellen brought Skadi out, she was just so full of love, we melted! She had just a teensy touch of white on her chin, chest and the very tips of her back paws - She was our little snow goddess so we named her Skadi. Since we've brought her home, she has easily adjusted to our family, including our demanding Kitty, Bo (her new best friend)! She's a refreshingly easy learner, which is great because she will soon be trained to be a my service dog! Her coat is the most beautiful apricot colors with red highlights, and I'm pretty sure her heart is big enough to fill the Empire State's Building!!! We went to American Goldendoodle in Sutton just to "look" at a puppy. I brought my 2 children to see how they interacted with a puppy. The staff there was amazing, staying open a little later for us, answering all my questions, taking the time to explain things, and never once pressuring us to buy the puppy. Of course, it was love at first site and we ended up leaving with our little Zoe and we are so grateful that we did. She is the sweetest, friendliest, and well-tempered dog. We have 2 active children, and Zoe handles them so well. They absolutely adore her as does anyone that she meets. After we brought Zoe home, we realized that my cousin had bought a dog 20 years before from the same breeder. I was so happy to hear this because my cousin's dog was such a love and good dog. It re-assured me we made a good decision. Even our dog trainer constantly comments how impressed she is with how fast Zoe learns, her kind temperament, socialization, and her overall personality. Zoe advanced in her training, and we are all amazed at all her abilities. We are so lucky to have Zoe as an addition to our family. Based on my current experience and my cousin's experience I would absolutely recommend American Goldendoodle to others. I hesitated to wrote this review because I'm concerned about the nature of some of the negative reviews on this site (which we saw after we adopted our mini-golden doodle. In January 2022, we were looking for a puppy having lost our 14 year old terrier mix. We were considering lots of rescues and breeds, including golden doodles and learned that American Goldendoodle had some pups. The process was a little strange, not the usual waiting for litter and joining a waiting list. But frankly, that was part of the attraction. We wanted to get a a puppy right away (I've had dogs for more than 40 years). We made three separate visits and were shown a bunch of pups. We finally decided on an eight week old male puppy. Yes, I think we overpaid (and that does bother me) but the reality is, I've had many pups and this pup, now almost two years old, is just wonderful. He is healthy, smart, calm, friendly, playful and just a light of our lives. I hope American Goldendoodle will address some of the comments here. Perhaps genetic testing and clearer identify of the parents of the litter would be the best adds. But, honestly, it I could get another dog like out beautiful, sweet mini-golden doodle (he is about 30 pounds), I would do it in a heartbeat. read more

American Goldendoodle is the best breeder we have discovered, to date. From our initial over-the-phone experience to meeting the puppies in Dee's home, every step of the adoption process was as flawless as it was exciting. We'd like to give American goldendoodle a 5+ star rating. Dee welcomed us into her home and so did her precious litter of goldendoodle puppies. It was spectacular to see the entire goldendoodle family, even the sweet mom and dad! We were thrilled to have been given the opportunity to see all available puppies at once, and individually. Each puppy was just too cute for words! We had a very hard time just leaving with one, to say the least. It was refreshing to see that all pups live in the house and not in kennels! Dee and her team were so gracious as to let us spend one-on-one time with each ball of fluff, allowing us to eventually find our baby! Our pup quickly became the light of our life. She is just as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside, not to mention, she came home potty trained. Visiting American Goldendoodle was one of the best decisions we have made yet, and we hope to bring our pup a doodle brother in the near future! read more

Unfortunately my experience with American Goldendoodles leads me to believe Denise is not breeding these puppies in her own home. There is a website that provided me with some more evidence to support this assumption. (https://www.complaintsboard.com/castle-cottage-country-home-puppies-puppies-multiple-breeds-c889899) I felt it was strange that when I emailed Denise back in April she said she had puppies available right away. No other breeders in New England (or even more broadly just in the eastern united states) have readily available puppies. There was no information on the adult males and females being bred and any reputable breeder would have genetic testing on the parents, with them listed clearly. You may be able to adopt a puppy quickly through Denise but just know that you are likely supporting the continuation puppy mills located who knows where... it may be tempting to use this "breeder" for a readily available puppy but once you start working with a reputable breeder you'll notice everything she's doing is super shady. read more

We're excited to share a 5-star review, but we'd give American Goldendoodle 10 stars if we could! In search of an authentic breeder, we discovered many pups are sold and shipped online. We were impressed to find a breeder that was very "hands on" and wanted to meet with us in person to learn more about our family's needs. We were able to spend hours of personal time with the parents and the entire litter, which was the best way to pick our pup. The friendly staff completely prepared us for our new puppy and the transition. We were thrilled to see how easy it was to train our pup. She came home super smart, potty trained, and very well tempered. It's evident how knowledgeable and dedicated the staff are with the dogs. They truly go above and beyond to make sure each pup is placed in the right home, with the right family. We purchased our 2nd golden doodle from Denise and like our first we could not be happier. Our first, Madison we actually purchased for our daughter. We drove to her house every week from the time the puppies were 2 days old and took pictures and held Madison so she could slowly bond with us until the time we were able to bring her home around 9 weeks. We were able to see both the mom and dad who were both very gentle which was comforting. Madison is now 5 and is the smartest, sweetest and most loving doodle ever. She moved with our daughter a year ago so we knew we needed another golden doodle so we contacted Dee and she said she had the perfect doodle for us and she was not kidding. We purchased Iris and our lives have never been the same. She too is the most loving, even more so than Madison. She has this smile that doesn't quit and she loves to hug and i mean really hug. We picked up our new goldendoodle from American Golden Doodle in Sutton, Massachusetts 2 weeks ago. The breeder, facility and overall experience exceeded our expectations. The "at home" facility was spotless, Denise and Tina were terrific, helpful dog paraphernalia was graciously included and we were impressed. All of this has been topped by our wonderful puppy. After only two weeks he sits on command and it is as if he is training us to take him outside not us training him. The dog is loving, fun and smart. We went through an exhaustive process to select a dog breed and then again to find a breeder. We surely made the right decision on both counts and you will too if you get a goldendoodle from American Golden Doodle. Take a drive to visit a perfectly manicured suburban house, be treated fairly and kindly by nice people and come home with a fabulous puppy and a support team. What could be better? read more

Denise and Tina are excellent and stay with you every step of the way offering support, answering all of my questions, and providing expertise and extensive knowledge of puppies including timelines of what to do and when, which was very helpful to me. I have to write about this Breeder! I can only say Denise and her crew were amazing ! I wanted a dog for my son who has served in the Army in Iraq! He needed a PAL ! We have had our puppy for a week now, and he is so loving,warm, and smart. We had a wonderful experience at American golden Doodle everyone there was super nice, informative, and caring. It became very obvious that it was not an act for the sale of a puppy, but that it was a establishment based off of genuine caring and love for life, which has been very apparent in the behavior of our new pup. He is only about 3 months old, he came to us piddle pad trained, looking for lots of love and cuddles, and very responsive to verbal cues. He is already almost potty trained to the outside and has become an instant favorite family member. I'm so grateful to have found Denise of American Goldendoodle. We just lost our beautiful Pilot, a wire-haired fox terrier of 11 years to a sudden illness. Pilot provided such love and joy to our family and established a special bond with my son who has autism. We wanted to fill the void that had been left in our hearts. This was where our family got our little Hudson and we are so grateful for our experience. We were very new to owning a dog and Denise and Tina helped us along with it, providing great information for us. We had a fantastic experience with American Goldendoodles. Denise was very easy to communicate with, we had a nice long unrushed visit with the puppies and ended up taking home 2 (!) since we couldn't decide on 1. Being new puppy owners we had a lot of questions and Denise was incredibly helpful. Especially when we got them home and had a few tricky days, she was very responsive with advice. Our girls are happy and healthy and well adjusted.
