THE FINISHED PRODUCT WITH SOME ADDED MAGPUL FURNITURE!
Jesse A.

My first experience came about 8 months prior to my most recent interaction with the exceptional staff at American Guns and Ammo. I had explained to Rick that I had interest in building my first rifle and did my best to retain as much information as I could. I was impressed with the level of patience and care he took to make sure I knew everything I was getting myself into when starting from the ground up. Fast forward to last week, after attending a gun show with high-hopes on finding the parts I need to finish my ar-pistol, I decide to pop back in to see if AG&A had what I needed in stock. After explaining to Al, the owner, my preferences and what I had been envisioning for my build, he was able to politely include his opinion for what has worked for customers in his experience with similar taste as mine. After deciding on a barrel length, which was the deciding factor for everything else at the point I was at, we determined that a barrel in that length was not in stock and Al had the barrel ordered before I even thought about walking out the door, without any commitment to purchase it. At this point, he made it known that if I did decide to give him my business in purchasing the barrel and provided the other necessary parts, either from outside his business or within, he would piece everything together and ensure everything ran to spec. I knew I was in good hands for the sole reason that he was willing to do this for my build of a .300 BLK at pistol which can be finicky with cycling issues and so on, and Al knew this and made sure to let it be known that he would see this project through. Now this is where it's gets real good.... After ordering the barrel Saturday afternoon, I get the call that following Wednesday from Rick that the barrel has arrived. I confirm that their hours of operation are until 6PM each day and explain with my current work schedule I won't be in until Saturday. I explain that I understand if they can't hold onto the barrel I need until then but Rick was more than reasonable and let's me know it'll be there. Luckily for me, power goes out at work and I'm clocked off by 5:40. With 20 minutes to spare, I give the shop a call and explain to Rick I'd love to poke my head in and see the barrel to make sure it's what I want, and to my surprise, with no negative connotation to the man that may keep him at work a bit longer than expected, says to come on in. Before I knew it, Al has my lower receiver on the block with the new barrel, a new hand-guard to show me in person what my build looks like. To my astonishment and with a few more minutes to pick out a few more needed pieces, I have my order list and I'm walking out the door with Al's word that the build with be finished that night. Mind you this is 30 minutes after closing. TWO HOURS LATER, I get a text from Al that everything runs smooth and is ready to be picked up first thing next day. I let him know I'm not off until 6 on Friday and he replies that he may be in shop after closing and if so, he'll give me the go ahead to come on in to pick it up and if not, I wait an extra day. Either way to me, I'm 110% satisfied at this point. Friday afternoon rolls around and I decide to use my hour lunch to haul over to the shop and finalize my purchase and pick up what feels like that Christmas present you've been waiting for the entire month of December (Christmas in July perhaps?). On a side note, Al had asked if I wanted a picture once he was finished building and I declined so that I could see everything as a whole for the first time in person, and boy was I glad. Everything about the rifle has what I had originally envisioned and I could not have been more pleased with the outcome. Pictures cannot do this rifle justice and today I had the chance to run the first 50 rounds through it. Everything functioned flawlessly, from the cycling of each round to the bolt catching open after the last round of each mag. The level of care, respect, and attention each employee at American Guns and Ammo showed to not only myself, but my wife as well was what originally sold me into wanting to further my business with the company. Everything else was just icing on the cake, and to be perfectly honest, it could have not had any better if an outcome. If you are considering plans for an AR-15 or similar build, there is no better place in the valley to look when starting AND finishing your perfect rifle. They WILL make sure it gets done.

#sixstampsaturday!…read more If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! If you're new to suppressors, on the fence on getting the process started, or been buying cans for awhile - I highly recommend East Valley Tactical. HUGE shout out to Eric (owner), Austyn (Sales), Jared (Gunsmith), and James (manager). A stand up, solid team! I was coming back from deployment, emailed the company in the blind asking about military discounts and help picking out my cans, within 20 minutes I get a call and it's East Valley Tactical, the guy (who later I found out it was Eric, the owner himself. He walked me through the whole process, was patient, answered all of my questions (and I had a bunch, this would be my first time ever doing a Form 4). I ended up buying 6 cans (3 that day, and the rest over the next few days)! Once I was actually home, I drive in, Austyn helped me with all the paperwork, and 9 days later - I'm picking them up! #sixstampsaturday! Try and beat that! Austyn again helped me out big time, getting me all of the mounting options (hubs, pistons, muzzle devices, etc). I even brought in my Geissele Super Duty that I couldn't get my FRT to work, their gunsmith Jared not only installed all of my cans, but he fixed my FRT issue and let me tell you, that thing rips! James was extremely knowledgeable and even helped me out with some other accessories and even threw in a gift. They recommended local places to shoot (I'm new to the area), basically rock solid customer service all around. Check these guys out, yes it can get busy - especially on a weekend - it's no wonder, they are the best in the Sourthwest, hands down.

The installation was executed flawlessly--precise, clean, and perfectly tuned for reliable performance. Huge thanks to East Valley Tactical for their exceptional service and expertise; they truly delivered top-tier workmanship on this specialized upgrade. The FRT has transformed the handling, delivering rapid semi-auto fire that's incredibly responsive. It took some getting used to (and yes, a bit more practice to manage the recoil and stay on target), but even in my initial sessions, I was able to connect with the target consistently once dialed in. My friends are already joking that I need to 'gain some weight' to better control the pushback--definitely a fun challenge ahead! East Valley Tactical's attention to detail and customer-focused approach made the whole process seamless. Highly recommend them for any B&T modifications, NFA work, or custom trigger installs. Professional, knowledgeable, and worth every penny. Thank you again!

Unfortunately, it has only gotten worse. Rude Front Desk: The older gentleman you pay for your table makes you feel like you are bothering him just by asking a simple question. He completely drains the fun out of the visit. Power-Tripping Range Officers: While I completely understand and respect the absolute necessity of gun safety, the RSOs here cross the line into being flat-out rude. They yell at shooters and treat you like you've never handled a firearm before. Zero Urgency: When there is a waitlist, the staff shows absolutely no urgency to get shooters assigned to open tables. I've been to many ranges, and this is easily one I would never recommend to anyone. They act like you're using their personal firearms and ammo. I won't be back, and I'll be making sure my friends avoid this place as well.
