The classrooms are very clean and chock full of both educational and fun type toys. They often invite parents and grandparents in to enjoy lunch with the children. They offer many other activities you can sign up for (extra $$) and have even hosted a date night. Took one star off since a few times I have seen the ratio of child go above what it is supposed to be, but classrooms were in control. Take a tour and see what you think. I'm incredibly picky and thought these guys did an impressive job of caring for children. Oh, and discount if you're a hotel employee!

Our family was a loyal La Petite customer for several years. We stayed as long as we did because of…read morethe convenience, but looking back, there were numerous concerns about the way the center was operated that ultimately led us to withdraw our child earlier than planned. One of the first issues involved diapers and wipes. When we enrolled, the advertising clearly stated that diapers and wipes were included at no additional cost. About a year later, I noticed an extra charge on our account with no prior notice. When I questioned it, I was told I was mistaken and that they had never offered diapers and wipes at no charge. Fortunately, I still have a copy of the original advertisement showing otherwise. While I eventually let the issue go, it left me feeling that transparency and accountability were lacking. Over the years, I also became concerned about the number of times I was called to pick up my child because they supposedly had a fever. On multiple occasions, my child did not have a fever by the time I arrived. I also noticed these calls often seemed to happen when the center appeared to be short-staffed. I cannot say for certain what was happening behind the scenes, but it gave me the impression that staffing issues may have been influencing decisions about sending children home. Whether that was the case or not, it significantly eroded my trust. There were several other situations that, in my opinion, reflected poor business practices and questionable ethics. As parents, we place an incredible amount of trust in the people caring for and teaching our children. I expect honesty, transparency, and integrity from a childcare provider, and over time I no longer felt confident that those values were being upheld. The biggest confirmation that we made the right decision came after we left. Our child is noticeably happier, more excited about going to school, and their overall attitude has improved dramatically. That change alone tells me we made the right choice for our family. Every family's experience may be different, but based on ours, I can no longer recommend La Petite. I hope they take steps to improve their communication, transparency, and overall business practices because families deserve to feel confident in the care their children receive.

They have become a second family. Mrs Jen and all the teachers have gone above and beyond my wildest dreams of a first school for my child. Mrs Corie has been incredible and from day one my daughter gravitated towards her. We have had Mrs Summer and Mrs Maria for two years now and they couldn't be better. They have been much more than teachers to us. We have gone thru some difficult times and their exact words to me I'll never forget were "we are your family now ".. This isn't just my daughter's school, this is a part of her young life that has helped mold her into a confident, bright and happy child. It's a school full of warmth and so much love. Sending my daughter to Coronado Prep Preschool was the best decision I could've made in not only her education, but in return we gained another family.. They are all INCREDIBLE.

It's hard to put into words how much this school has meant to our family over the past few years…read more My daughter started here in 2023 when she was 2 years old, and as we prepare for kindergarten, I truly can't imagine a better place for her to have spent these important years. We don't call it daycare in our house--we call it school--because that's exactly what it is. The teachers don't just focus on academics. They also teach kindness, emotional regulation, confidence, independence, and problem-solving. Every day, my daughter came home having learned something new, and as she gets ready for kindergarten, I can confidently say she is more than prepared. Her growth is a direct reflection of the love, patience, and dedication of every teacher she's had. One of the greatest gifts this school has given us is a true sense of community. The kids all know one another, they know each other's families, and the parents have built friendships and a support system that extends well beyond the classroom. It truly feels like a village raising our children together, and that's something incredibly special. What's funny is that when I first toured the school in 2022 while looking for childcare for my daughter as a baby, I almost didn't choose it. I thought the infant classroom was too small and assumed a bigger facility would be better. We ended up enrolling somewhere else first. Looking back, I couldn't have been more wrong. After experiencing a much larger childcare center, we realized that bigger didn't mean better. There was less individualized attention, more accidents, and less oversight. Now I completely understand why those classrooms are designed the way they are. The smaller environment allows the teachers to truly know each child and provide the attention and care they deserve. I'm so thankful we eventually found our way back here. As we close this chapter, it's incredibly bittersweet. Thank you to every teacher and staff member who has loved, encouraged, and believed in my daughter. You've helped shape her into a kind, confident, curious little girl, and our family will always be grateful for everything you've done.

We've been amazed at how much they've learned (not just academically but socially and emotionally as well). Our daughter has developed a love for art thanks to the creative and unique projects led by Ms Mummert. We are grateful for the care and patience to the toddler teachers (Ms. Elysa, & Ms. Kanae, Mrs. Ranieri). This past year, the new leadership team has made an already great school even better with more extracurricular activities and special guests. My son's teacher is Ms. Flynn - she is SO great (all I would hope for in a teacher for him). He is eager to learn, eager to share with me what he's learning and seems to be ahead of most kids his age with reading, writing & numbers. On top of that, I believe Merryhill has been a big part of his social development.

A week into my children attending I start getting these emails telling me to pay. I figured Urban League pays on a certain day of the month so I was just getting the messages by default. Then I received an actual text from the school asking me to pay and I was so confused. Why hadn't someone from the school told me? Today, same deal. I'm told $220 is due next week for summer camp. No flyers sent home with the school. No outline of what summer camp includes versus what's offered any other time of the year. It's daycare. I didn't realize summer was outside of their normal business hours. It's not like it's an elementary school and I'm paying for the kids to attend outside of the regular school year. Naturally, I was pretty upset. I went to pick up my kids and asked about this random $220. I was told that it's $110 per kid and it covers the entire summer (but the regular weekly tuition is still due). They bring in a petting zoo and have other fun activities. I wish I would have been told this in advance. I don't have a problem with it, what I have a problem with is the lack of communication. What if I didn't have the money? I am, after all, on Urban league. The fees and the services that go along with those fees should be clearly communicated. They shouldn't just be requesting payment. Outside of the communication issue it's a very nice school. My kids enjoy it. The facility is clean. They feed the kids two meals and a snack and they even have a graduation for the kids that are on their way to kindergarten. I love the school itself. The communication aspect of it absolutely needs work because I don't think they understand nor taken to consideration the hardship that comes with charging people fees without notice.

We viewed a few different places before finding Kindercare upon meeting with the Director, Kashmir and Assistant Director Lilly and viewing the facility. From talking to Kashmir and Lilly they were able to provide all information regarding the curriculum, expectations from the parents, they assist with potty training if needed and gave in depth information for holiday request and hours. Our daughter was very excited to meet them and within the first 15 minutes, felt like she was at home. It was in our daughter's best interest to start at this childcare center. The facility is very clean and orderly, and the staff is amazing. There is a wonderful worker named Stephanie who ensures that the place is always in tiptop shape as well making the conscious decision by exposing our children to great healthy options when it comes to their food. When paying for daycare at this location, it comes with their meals and snacks. My daughter's teachers over the years, started with Celeste who has been such a great influence on my daughter and ensures to make sure that she is taken care of from all her basic needs and beyond. There is Sophia, who is our current main teacher who she has a very close relationship with and insists to help her process her emotions. There is Latoya who makes sure that when my daughter or any child is upset gets time to create space and then voice their feelings and validate their concerns. Aaliyah helps with the curriculum and ensure the children are working on their sight words, colors, numbers shapes, volumes of objects, as well as the fun projects that they work on for the holidays in class. My'Unique works on pronunciation and phonics for them as well as gardening classes and culinary beginnings. Carmen is another teacher who may not have her directly in her class, but make sure to assist in any issues that occur with the students and jumps in to help out the other teachers as needed. Altogether the staff really works hard to ensure your children are taken care of on a multitude of levels and I highly recommend any parent to check out this facility as they really do accommodate the parents needs the best that they can and are always throwing several different events for the parents to be involved with our children. This has definitely been my favorite daycare and my daughter will continue to be remaining here even through her first year of school for all those holidays that they are off, including summer.
