Zero stars. I should write about what the nurse and counselor did to my daughter, Juliana White. The nurse Palacios and counselor Diaz questioned my daughter privately regarding an extremely sensitive and inappropriate matter without first contacting me or obtaining my consent. SUPERINTENDENT Thompson Banning myself and her dad on campus for protecting our daughter. Superintendent was no help, she took principal's side because she is now the Associate Superintendent for the Archdiocese of Las Vegas schools. At the time Kiss. When asked about following the student handbook guidelines with FALSE accusations, I was dismissed. Completely ignored. Both Israeli girls BULLIED my daughter. This entire admin is a joke. I'm not the only parent that's had a problem with a counselor. I'm the only parent that was willing to say something. We're also not the first set of parents banned. We will never speak highly of this school. The teachers tho were great! My son and daughter had some of the best ones. I will add my review over and over if it ever gets deleted. It was deleted before. I will post emails if need be. Unless they make it right. And let me make one thing clear. I chose not to have my children return to this awful school. St. Viator Catholic School has been such a blessing for our family. The teachers and staff are truly amazing. They are caring, dedicated, and genuinely invested in each child's growth both academically and spiritually. From the very beginning, we felt how warm and welcoming the school community is. Our daughter attends pre-K, and we absolutely love it. She is excited to go to school, feels safe and supported, and is already learning so much in an environment rooted in faith and values. Because of the strong sense of community, we decided to change our parish to St. Viator Catholic Church as well. It is so special to see familiar faces from the school, including staff, families and classmates, during the Mass we attend. We especially love the faith based education and that the school attends Mass every Wednesday. I attended 7th and 8th grade here and it was the worst two years of my life. Unless you're super rich and have a family that donates to the school and church or you're really popular, you will be overlooked and treated like garbage. The administration staff is awful. I would get screamed at and made fun of by the adult staff on a daily basis. The education is also trash considering you have to pay to attend. I didn't have one good experience with the teachers. Once in 8th grade after almost our whole class attended one of the student's birthday parties, we found out that one of the students wasn't invited to the party. How did we find this out? His mother was our Spanish teacher (Mrs. Maria Healy) and she made all of us who attended the party stand up in the classroom, form a line, and then write our names down on a piece of paper. She then screamed and yelled at us. Our parents had a field day after that happened. She should've been fired, but was allowed to continue teaching. It was a nightmare. Where to begin with the rude staff in the office and preferential treatment. The front desk secretary is extremely rude. She is not very christian like. She always has an attitude and is not very helpful. She is always gossiping with the nurse if she really is one. Not sure she is certified at all to be honest. No expertise at all. The nurse is awful also. The nurse is nice to your face but speaks bad about lots of children and parents. Not Christian like at all. She sends kids home for no apparent reason. The preferential treatment the children receive if staff work there. bad kids who have parents work there get away with everything. Gossiping about other families is not ok at all. If that just is so terrible they should look somewhere else. This school and community used to be great. I have a child that currently attends this school, definitely should have paid attention to the reviews on yelp. If you are looking to place your child here I suggest you look elsewhere. I have two children that attend public school and I have no complaints about the staff at their school. The staff here at St. Viator are rude and very unpleasant especially for a catholic school. Ms. Drewes is the first person you see when you walk into the office, but for some reason, it seems like it bothers her when parents come in to take their children out early. The first day I took my child out early for a Doctors appointment she gave an attitude when she had to pick up the phone to call the teacher. I thought, ok maybe she just had a long day, nope... My child comes home and tells me that the lady in the office is not nice. Mind you, I never hear my child complain about anyone. A few weeks later, came in to talk to the accountant, again Ms. Drewes gave an attitude when she had to leave her little desk to walk to the back to call Ms. Renee. If it bothers you to pick up the phone to relay the message then I suggest you find another job that doesn't deal with the public and let someone else do your job for you. Remember the fees that I pay for my child to be there are paying your bills & giving you your paycheck. I will not be enrolling my child in this school for the next year, I will take my money to a real catholic school. read more

If I could rate this school 0/5 on this app I would. In fact I would even rate it in the negatives. This school should be rated the worst private elementary/middle school in Las Vegas. The principal is unfair and there is no culture throughout the school. The principal also chooses favorites throughout students and grade levels. Loosing multiple teachers every year really shows how they treat their staff and how things work around there. I used to be a member of this school for almost 8 years and each year it gets worse and worse. There is no communication within the staff and events they have. This school will only go downhill from here if they dont get better administrators and better treatment of their staff, parents, and students. read more

The office staffs running this school have a poor attitude, do not care about the families, and don't waste your time. Pre-K, 2nd, 5th and 6th grade teachers are remarkable. I have not experience the other teachers, so I cannot give my opinion about them. The administration does not reflect Catholic belief; they pray to the dollar. From experience, the school is run by cold-blooded, merciless, heartless people who only care about money. Teachers have left or been laid-off. Many families have removed there children, when we started at this school the student count was over 600 children and had 2 class rooms for each grade, last I heard 2020-21 school year is around 220 and now have drop to 1 class room for each grade or sharing rooms with 2 different grades taught by 1 teacher. Very sad, great facility controlled by unhappy people. So much drama and gossip. The principal, bookkeeper, and the office staff there are depressed and miserable, and full of negative energy. The principal has no business running any school; maybe the board of directors, Church priest and the Catholic Diocese will step in and fix this particular challenging situation. There were many instances that they handled situations terribly. Fantastic school. This school has a caring and qualified faculty and staff. School has been around for over 50 years with exceptionally high test results in all areas. School has four professional learning support staff members to help students reach their full potential. This is unheard of in Catholic grade schools. Teacher aides in all classes thu 5th grade is another bonus. With a new principal coming last year with new ideas, the school has only gotten better. Her door is always open to parents, staff and students. If you are looking for the best in Las Vegas all with strong Catholic values as the centerpiece, St. Viator is the place. read more
