This campground is amazing! I highly recommend staying here if you're looking for a nice, clean, and quiet getaway outdoors. The campsites are all of great size with plenty of room for families. The bathrooms are VERY clean and conveniently placed for all to access. I was impressed! There are so many outdoor actives to do for kids and there is even a dog park if you bring your furry companions. Such a wonderful place to take a peaceful walk with many little trails within the campground. Our stay was June 27th - July 1 2026, and I have to say, this is a beautiful campground. We had a nice site, plenty of room and very quiet. Rita and her grandson checked us in, and we learned that she has owned the campground since the 70's. She is very sweet and helpful. Along with us, we had our daughter, her husband and our 1 year old granddaughter. We could sit outside and watch the wildlife all day, it was so relaxing. Our granddaughter was so excited to see the bunnies hopping around our campsite! It was cute! Yes, the bathrooms are kept very clean. The campground is very well maintained, while still being "woodsy" or "foresty" and natural looking. I loved that. We would definitely come back to stay here. read more

Beautiful campground! We brought 2 dogs. The bathroom facilities (men's and women's) are clean and all plumbing fixtures work. Bathroom doors are also safe because of door entry codes. Tent sites are groomed yesterday private and spacious. Overall experience is outstanding. The owners are nice. Safe swimming pool area too. You will enjoy it here most definitely. read more

We absolutely LOVED it here. Ms. Rita is a gem of a person. She is so sweet & kind. When we arrived they were doing construction and so it was awkward driving down the street in our RV but Ms. Rita was waiting for us outside the place waving us in. The place is GORGEOUS! We unfortunately couldn't get sewer hookups but we were so in awe of the place we didn't care. Now I will say, the checkin was slow because it's all done by hand. No computers so it is a bit slow but isn't that they people RV? To slow down? The grumpy old man that showed us to our site SAID he would help my husband back in but basically told us the site and than watched my husband try to back in while he gawked & had his arms crossed the whole time. That man was sooo rude buuuuuut we found out on our last day there that Ms. Rita fired him. She made a promise to her dying daughter that she would keep him on but after sooo many complaints, she couldn't do it anymore. Good for her! That took a lot of courage. I applaud her. The place is just magical, like living in a forest. Some people don't like that, that's fine. But please know that before hand instead of leaving a negative review because "too many trees."oh boy. We were there in July of 2022. This is still one of our top RV spots. read more

I love this RV park! Though located in an industrial area you would never know it! You are literally camping in a forest. Someone mentioned in another review that the sites were small; I disagree. I have stayed here several times and will continue to come back. The sites are somewhat level and the space is much bigger than most RV parks. The bath house is spacious and clean. Great showers! Another plus is a laundry room on site. There is a great dog park with plenty of room for the dogs to run and play. There is firewood and propane on site. Believe it or not there is a nice pool for the kids and you. Yes check in is a little slow but to me it is worth it. Found this campsite last minute as we drove through Oregon. The campsite itself was absolutely beautiful, the sites were clean and clear and easily accessible. The grounds were adorable and just a nice place to be. The office staff was the best ! The owner and her son were so incredibly hospitable and helpful even when we arrived at 9:30 at night. I can't say enough good things about this campground . We came back the next night after we toured Seattle and decided to stay one more night before the drive home back to California. read more

Great family friendly campground located just outside of Olympia/Tumwater. Far enough from everything to be actual camping. Close enough to have a reasonable drove to the Centrailia outlits as we as Olympia itself. The family( i assume its a family) that runs this place is extremely friendly! Pool is great for kids. The bathrooms were much better than kost campgrounds. The tenting sites were great( thats where I stayed. No stumps or holes. All the sites are saw were level and smooth. Every site has a fire pit. The wood is only $5 plus tax. I stayed here 3 nights and the only thing I have to complain about is not staying longer. I highly recommend this campground to anyone passing through. read more

What a lovely woodsy, private campground with extra amenities! Carla and family provide the best care and security at their family campground! In summer there is a grated pool and daily hay wagon rides! WiFi and super clean laundry room. We needed rv space while doing a remodel on our new home. This was the best choice for our stay! Many thanks for all of the personal touches like filling some camp sites with gravel, blowing out pine needle debris, escorting late arrivals into campsites in the dark and coaching those on their first rv parking and such. Loved this campground!! Each site is spaced nicely with tons of trees and bushes in between. Clean, quiet. Great owners take a lot of care and pride of the property. Laundry room is large and has chairs and couches to hang there if needed. Felt very safe all the time. Pool not in use but there are nice lakes nearby. Stayed 5 nights, our site had full hookups. We had a 30 ft rig. Plenty of room. Hated to leave but on to Astoria! read more

I'm very surprised to read the few negative reviews. Our experience here was just great. Rita and Karla checked us in and they were both very friendly and it was obvious that they enjoyed interacting with the campers and took pride in their campground. Their camp store had very interesting items and we bought several things from them (collectibles, etc) at great prices. The restrooms were very big and super clean! While staying here we had a great kayaking trip on the black River and also had a terrific bike ride on the Chehalis- Western trail. We live in Oregon but will definitely try to come back here again another time! read more

We called this camp right before they closed. We were still a few hours away but they set everything out for us with our name on it. They told us they were not open for camping season yet but made an exception for us. The campground was very clean and quiet. The bathrooms were very big and clean as well. Easy to find and road was in good condition. They had laundry on site and a pool. We bought a TT 34ft 2020 Keystone Hideout in May. We took it out for our first trip in June ( WA started to open back up) without our kids during the pandemic. This is a family own business. The ladies were so nice when I called to book our trip. The pull in area in spacious. It was a quick check in. They will even escort you to your site and help you pull in. We didn't need it. Wi-Fi is good close to the office building. This ground is maintain well. Rules are live by here. Website use it always up to date. Showers, Restrooms are clean! Doggy park is cool. Little trails on the property. Site are clean and spacious. Campfires are great! Wood on site and general store. Closes store is Wal Mart in Tumwater. We visit again in August great weather for our twins boys birthday. And Christmas had a blast. Tall trees. That's our last trip there. We're military so we will be leaving the PNW soon. I got here late and the owner Rita helped me get in and settle in a site. Rita was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. The park was immaculate and the trees and ambience were beautiful. There is another RV park nearby for about $10 less but not as nice as this one. They even let me keep my RV parked here well after the checkout time for no charge as I went site seeing in Seattle. My family was considering staying here. So we drove in and checked out the camp ground. Within minutes we were met by some grumpy old guy on a motorcycle blocking our car. He started yelling at us saying we need to leave and that we were bothering guests (we did not see even one person anywhere). Nobody even got out of the car. We had a great experience at American Heritage RV Park. The owner was so pleasant and patient. Despite caring for the front desk as well as all the facilities she manage to take care of our needs with ice, laundry, restrooms and other accommodations. Prompt and courteous. The park itself is its own adventure. There were beautiful, tall trees, playground, grill, clean walkways and off-beat trails. There is a cute garden. Our dogs had a nice time spotting the bunnies. The old guy running the place was ornery and do not understand the concept of boundaries. He insisted on touching our dog (a smart Aussie), who doesn't like strangers. When our dog thought it was weird for an old man to insist on friendship, the old guy kicked us out. We wish him well on weird stand on "screening" dog visitors by touching them. read more

My family stayed two nights in site #77. There was 6 of us and we spent around $125 for the campsite(arrived 6/26 and departed 6/28) On that Saturday mid morning the Man and Woman in campsite #75 began a loud verbal disturbance and cussing. We immediately reported this to the campsite office and your maintenance man seemed to speak with them and things quieted down and we began to enjoy our trip again. Later that evening the couple in site #75 began yelling again and having a verbal conflict. They also had a very young baby and it was crying a lot. This also concerned us. The office was closed so we felt it necessary to contact the local police to come and resolve the conflict in site # 75 and do a "welfare check" for the infant. It seemed to us when we arrived on Friday that the couple and their baby we're not "camping" in site # 75 but living there. No vehicle etc.. Needless to say this ruined our camping experience at your campground. read more

This is a sentimental favorite as we stayed here on our honeymoon in 1986 on our way to Expo 86 in Vancouver, British Columbia. It was a KOA then but now privately owned, clean and well maintained. Very friendly staff that went out of their way to be helpful and provided us with good dinner recommendations. Our campsite was large, private and wooded. We would have liked to stay in the "honeymoon suite" which is still there (but in 1986 we were in a much smaller trailer, not a 35 foot motorhome), but has low hanging trees that can not accommodate an RV of our size. The campsites are shaded and spread out with a good road that lends to a great bike ride. This will be our go-to camp spot in Olympia forever! read more

Gorgeous and well put together. Staff is absolutely FANTASTIC! I had problems with my camper and they were able to locate some tools that I needed and saved the day. Convenience shop is perfect if you forgot a few things like wood. Nice little store with food stuffs, rv supplies and gifts. This would be a 5 star rating but the grounds are a bit older although everything is neat and well maintained.
