I have had a very good experience with this company. They tell it like it is. Honest, up front and professional. If you are serious about buying a home from them they will definitely get you through the process. I had to build from raw land, the house, upgraded garage and landscape. They know there stuff from getting the initial permits (building house/garage, water, power, sewer,etc.) To completing all the stages. I am very satisfied with their customer service, construction management and overall service. Like I said if you are serious...they will help you through and through! Would definitely recommend them. At first things were pretty great, I worked with Josh and Tom. Tom did a great job with my limited timeline and got me in my new home right on schedule. The only thing I was disappointed with was I had told Josh I wanted a heat pump in my proposal he said Tom would take care of that I told Tom ... well I didn't end up with a heat pump. My major issue is. I waited the time they said to get the cracks repaired, when I did call they were booked way out so it ended up being more than a year from my installation date. But they sent their guy out ... he wasn't prepared and had to r schedule then he comes back with no paint wants to reschedule again, I tell him to fix the dry wall and come back with the paint ... which it was the wrong sheen so the whole house needs repainting! But the poor quality and the fact American Homes is not willing to fix the workmanship is why I rate them one star I would have given less if I could have! I was told they would not fix my mid line because it's past my year! Well here are a few pictures of cracks that were supposedly fixes (he just put a coat of shackle over and then painted ... he didn't fix the crack. Also places he sparkled and didn't paint, as well as my beautiful center line. Good luck with them and get EVERYTHING in writing, gets a copy of your walk through and make sure they Actually write everything you talk about down, as they did not do that on mine!!!! read more

Run as fast and far away from this dealership as you can! They do not do what they say they will and they do not care about their customers! We purchased a home from them and it was a nightmare with their set-up crew. They painted over grease that should have been cleaned off the exterior of the house, they used the wrong plastic for the vapor barrier under the home and they brought their dogs with them every day. When we had roof issues and wrote letters to the Marlette factory and to American Homes, American Homes would not even respond to our letter. If Mike is still one of the owners, he is an ass. He came out to our property while we were hooking up the power to our new home, demanding that he be paid. He is the first person we have ever kicked off our property, and he deserved it. Go ANYWHERE else but this dealership! Wish I could give them a negative rating! read more

We had great hopes for our quality Marlette Special, but they didn't come in the configuration we wanted. We found a configuration in a Golden West model, and we sent that floor plan to the engineers at Marlette at a cost of over $2,000. The engineers drew up the configuration as a Marlette Columbia River model. What we did not know is that putting this under a Columbia River model meant a downgrade in the quality of the home we ultimately got. No one made it clear that would happen. Very disappointing after having gone through 3 years of changes on our home. read more

Honestly, if I could give this place no stars I would. We drove all the way to Tacoma from Bremerton to look at these manufactured homes because they had more options than what we had locally. We walked in and was greeted by a woman, Linnette Gonzalez, who did not look friendly at all. She gave us a little map and we walked around to look at the different models. When we were done, we walked back in the office and told her that we were interested in a specific company, Marlette homes. She had no interest in helping us whatsoever, but she did hand us her card. We walked out. If she didn't want our business, we will take it elsewhere. Her card said she was a sales consultant but there was no consulting thus there is no sale. She might want to find a different job because customer service is definitely not it. I advise people to stay away and visit a different company. You've been warned. read more

This company is genuine and sincere. After trying to order a new home with another dealer that had us driving all over and jumping through mega hoops, we were referred to Mike Johnson and Linnette Gonzales of AHC. In just 2 visits we had an order ready for the factory. Wish we had gone to them in January instead of the other dealer who did nothing for us but waste our time. I like how easy and accommodating these people are. They want you to be happy and go the distance in providing information and giving solid advice. I have always loved WA State and a dream was to own a home here. When I got the opportunity to build on my lot, I was elated! As I searched on the internet for mobile homes, I decided that I liked the Clayton Brand for the quality and price they provided. I contacted American Home Center and arranged for a meeting with Sales Manager, Barry Nelson. Because I was an out-of-state buyer, time was of the essence. I flew into SEA-TAC and met with Barry one morning in June. I had an idea of the model I wanted, but when he heard my needs, he suggested another option that was on sale that would do just as well at a better price. There were bonus energy smart options included in the bundle. Barry had the contract completed with details about the timeline done in a matter of hours. I was able to get over to Ocean Shores by afternoon! We hired Tom Fulkerson of American Home Center Construction Services to do the installation and lot preparation. Tom took care of everything very efficiently. He procured all of the permits for energy, water and building matters. The house went up without any difficulties. If there were any changes, Tom contacted me to get my input but that was rare as things proceeded along contract lines. 2018-2019 was the year of the Polar Vortex. The timeline we originally settled on was June to December. Actual move-in readiness was late February. There had been so much snow and rain that things were behind schedule but that is understandable. Bert Kriedler helped with the financial ends of things. At one point, a payment was needed. We were overseas and had difficulty transferring funds from an international locale. Bert was very accommodating about the delay. He was also very efficient about the paperwork and getting the title registered after we moved in. The day of the walk-through a representative met us and had all of the warrranty paperwork and information about the appliances for us. I really appreciated the fact that American Home Center took care of getting the warranty on the home filed for us. Inside, the house was immaculate and ready to live in! The outside was a little dirty and would have benefitted from a good power washing. Later I discovered a minor crack in the window frame, but I am confident it will be taken care of. However, the over-all experience was so good, that I was able to over-look those things. I have to say that whenever I called anyone from the company, their response to my query was immediate. The prices given at the time of contract on the home and the construction costs did not change as is the case at times with some. The company members appeared to be dependable and honest. At the end, Bev Anderson was our service coordinator. If I had questions or concerns at move-in, she was back in touch with me in a matter of minutes. I am very happy with the Clayton Brand. It is attractive, solidly built, and very energy efficient. Today, it is a beautiful rainy day in Ocean Shores, WA! I can't hear the rain so I wouldn't know it was raining if I didn't see it. The insulation is very good!!! My family is in the early stages of looking for options to homeownership. The Realtor was more of a insult machine than a sales person. First mistake, he led us in without even shaking our hand. He asked if we've prequalified and since we're in our early stage of this new decision, we were looking for info and options. It wasn't the question that shocked me. It was the attitude he posed the question with. This guy just sqashes people's dreams right in the beginning as robotic as possible. "We can't show you any homes if you are not prequalified." I came to ask questions and the process of acquiring a property through them. "We won't help you with 0 financing...we don't even do that." This guy is clearly not a sales person. He has no tact. Who would want to refer that kind of attitude to anyone? If he asked me the right questions and offered respect and graciousness, he would have found out that it is a 3 income household and would have been a good sale. I left with 0 info about how their business, properties or fees associated with the different kinds of purchases. One word for this establishment. Eeeeiwww! 0 star if possible. read more

At first everything went as planned, but after they got my money my project has almost completely stopped. The house is basically been just sitting on my lot for about a month called several times and cant get anybody to do anything ,paid $9000.00 extra for a standing seam metal roof and some idiot screwed the gutter flashing into the standing seams the whole length of the roof on both sides! They've been called 3 times on that issue which they haven't responded! Now we've been told that their waiting on a electrician that's going on 3wks for that! Alot of stress cracks in the interior sheetrock that hopefully will be fixed( not holding my breath). The water line has been installed over the ground with only foam wrap!( not to code). We had to pay for the place completely sight unseen starting to think this was a huge mistake! hopefully a these issues will be resolved but thinking because of the lack of service after they have my money that were going to have take legal action to get any kind of favorable result! read more
