There is a staff member at the Angela Waterford hospice facility who is horrible. The first night I…read morearrived after-hours, frazzled and heart beating in my chest, she coldly opened the doors for me when the automatic opener didn't work, then coldly marched down the long corridors in silence- obviously annoyed that she had to leave her desk. I have caught her gossiping negatively with other staff members who, though mostly lovely, seem intimidated and unduly influenced by her military style meanness. There is very little family support at the Waterford facility (grief counseling once a month) and adding an unwelcoming, unkind personality to the mix during an already stressful and surreal experience is too much to deal with. There's a reason for the saying ''one bad apple spoils the bunch.'' She seems to be a ringleader... and her energy is a downer.

He needed rehab after falling and breaking 2 ribs. He also has a lot of cognitive issues due to Parkinsons. They took good care of him. They were patient and attentive and kind. He was never lacking what he needed. He was able to complete is rehab program and get home in better shape in a timely manner. They were very communicative with us on his progress and also with his at home care team. Overall, it was a pretty smooth process. My only complaint was that it was difficult to get a hold of anyone who could be of help through the main phone number posted online. Many who answered didn't know how to transfer the call properly or when a Voicemail was left, they didn't return the call. It was best to go there in person to talk. Not ideal for me (his daugther) as I live out of state, but luckily my mom lives near by and was able to communicate when needed.

Our family member stayed there for a few weeks, to get better with rehab and it was a complete fail. She was left in her bed majority of her stay, and they left the catheter in the whole stay until day of her release. And upon release, she stated to staff. that she needed to use the bathroom, and after they ignored her, and then with a soiled diaper, they put her in the wheelchair, and wheeled her out to the lobby door, with no help assisting what so ever, so if you have a love one in need of help, go to another facility, and some people may say that these facilities are short staffed, and I say, theres no excuse. What a complete and sad fail.

The food offerings and room accommodations were also excellent, two components you can never underrate in a residential facility.

There is alot of good staff however, very understaffed and burntout.,the therapy program is great though, I have food allergies, gastric bypass previous issues, and Afrid eating disorder spoke with dietary supervisors and they seemed ok ordered special foods, protein shakes ect, but I continued on many occasions to have issues so spoke with the staff because I told them when they first gave strawberry yogurt I thought it was just a mistake but I finally went to the kitchen myself when they gave me a red dye 40 protein shake,I thought things sucked but were just going by ,then after showering I went to use the restroom which I hope you can manage to get to yourself because it depends on who's there call lights sometimes take minutes but I have had them take 40 minutes and I even called front desk to check to see if the light was working, anyway I go use the restroom only to step in urine, I put a towel that they didn't even put in a bag for laundry my socks and the towel was there till the next day,my roommate was not repositioned regularly and had bed sore, The next day I had my mom shower me and as soon as she left wet all over again apparently the pipe busted they joking asked if I peed on myself I'm 45,they were upset because I wanted my bedding changed, which was not changed for 2 days before and I killed a silverfish on the first night I was in the room,so then my bathroom and the shower room bathroom down the hall both had problems, they left, all the trays of food overnight in the room on a cart till they felt like doing them,food was 50/50but they tried harder for me, then one night I was sitting waiting on my meds because their med pass usually took like a hour and a half the cna tells me get out of the way not excuse me were getting ready to work in here mind you I was in the room my insurance was paying for so I told her she should learn how to speak to people, the next morning breakfast came all i could eat from it was a couple things because again they didn't listen so I asked to speak with dietary but they brought a social worker and the director, that basically said that I was the problem, and maybe I would be happier at one of there other locations LMAO ,like I what to go from bad to worse, if you care about anyone don't let them go here or the other locations I have heard family friends tell me they had trouble getting there meds there

I called and said "My Aunt is dying and I can't handle this, I need help" The hospice nurse said " I was just there this morning and she was fine" well, she was not fine. My best friend is a hospice nurse with another company. I video taped my Aunt and counted her breaths. My friend said she is dying. She said ask for morphine because they gave my Aunt nothing. Dying special needs and no meds. Unreal. Still being tube fed up until the end. A total heartbreaking nightmare for me. I was screaming, GET THE MORPHINE!!! Finally she got it, surprised I was not arrested. She got it and then passed away 15 minutes later. Total nightmare that haunts me. Never use Seasons hospice !!!!!

My 95 year old Mother was under Season's Hospice care for a year at an assisted living home the…read moreentire one year Covid-19 lockdown. I depended on them to give me a full report after each visit. I found out that one nurse who was supposed to visit face to face with Mom was actually calling the head nurse at the Home to get a report from her car, and would relay Mom's vitals to me like she was actually there. When I asked the nurse about something specific pertaining to Mom, she would quickly tell me she was doing fine and would change the subject. I found out from the Home admins she was not even going into my Mom's room. Well, my Mom passed away on March 8th 2021, and not one nurse came to visit her during the last week of her life. All they were doing was prescribing more and more morphine until Mom was a vegetable and hadn't been able to eat for four days before she cruelly died. The Home asked me if I would like to be Mom's care giver the final days and had I not been there to give Mom water and whisper support to her, she might have died sooner. For the last days of Mom's life, the Home acted as if their hands were tied being under Hospice care and Hospice acted as if Mom's final days were the Homes' responsibilities. Mom passed on March 8th and I have not received any condolences from any nurse that had visited her for the past year. The only person to call was Lynn, a social worker who has been monitoring my health and well being during since the start. Shame on you Season's Hospice for not caring about my Mom even in her final days under your care. You had no problem billing my Mom's Medicare for a year though. Andy Z.
