I had multiple stays at Belle Fountain Senior Living this winter and spring, and enjoyed each rehab experience -- thanks to an attentive and friendly staff who prioritized my needs and comfort levels at all hours of the day. I was impressed with Belle Fountain's modern training facilities -- particularly the physical therapy equipment. For the PT and OT sessions, it felt great to be in the hands of trained professionals dedicated to improving my every-day strength and stamina. Would leave 0 if possible, I reported a rude roommate the 2nd night and was changed because after 10 she wouldn't allow the staff to give me my pain meds,furthermore there's no privacy for phone calls and staff always listens because they are afraid that you will tell your family that they don't treat people right. There is alot of good staff however, very understaffed and burntout.,the therapy program is great though, I have food allergies, gastric bypass previous issues, and Afrid eating disorder spoke with dietary supervisors and they seemed ok ordered special foods, protein shakes ect, but I continued on many occasions to have issues so spoke with the staff because I told them when they first gave strawberry yogurt I thought it was just a mistake but I finally went to the kitchen myself when they gave me a red dye 40 protein shake,I thought things sucked but were just going by ,then after showering I went to use the restroom which I hope you can manage to get to yourself because it depends on who's there call lights sometimes take minutes but I have had them take 40 minutes and I even called front desk to check to see if the light was working, anyway I go use the restroom only to step in urine, I put a towel that they didn't even put in a bag for laundry my socks and the towel was there till the next day,my roommate was not repositioned regularly and had bed sore, The next day I had my mom shower me and as soon as she left wet all over again apparently the pipe busted they joking asked if I peed on myself I'm 45,they were upset because I wanted my bedding changed, which was not changed for 2 days before and I killed a silverfish on the first night I was in the room,so then my bathroom and the shower room bathroom down the hall both had problems, they left, all the trays of food overnight in the room on a cart till they felt like doing them,food was 50/50but they tried harder for me, then one night I was sitting waiting on my meds because their med pass usually took like a hour and a half the cna tells me get out of the way not excuse me were getting ready to work in here mind you I was in the room my insurance was paying for so I told her she should learn how to speak to people, the next morning breakfast came all i could eat from it was a couple things because again they didn't listen so I asked to speak with dietary but they brought a social worker and the director, that basically said that I was the problem, and maybe I would be happier at one of there other locations LMAO ,like I what to go from bad to worse, if you care about anyone don't let them go here or the other locations I have heard family friends tell me they had trouble getting there meds there read more

I wish leaving zero stars was possible. My father arrived for short-term PT on a Sunday afternoon and during the next 4 days no one ever answered his bell when he needed help to get to the restroom in less than 2 hours!! He was left to lay in soiled bedding until someone finally showed up. This happened at least 4 times! This is supposed to be a caregiving facility and yet they leave their patients in humiliating and dehumanizing situations. During one of my visits, ice was needed for the machine that kept my dad's leg from swelling; it had actually gone dry the day before but the staff had not checked it. We pressed the bell and after 1.5 hours with no answer I went to look for ice myself. Out at the desk there were 3 people sitting at computers/working on paperwork. The board on the wall behind them had lights on, one of which I could clearly see was my father's room, but they were doing paperwork instead of helping patients. One of the housekeepers, Sandra, actually asked if I needed help and got the ice we needed. During one of my mother's visits, the woman in the room across the hall started yelling, "HELP! HELP, I NEED HELP! SOMEONE COME HELP ME!" Thankfully, by Friday, we were able to get him out of Belle Fountain and back to the hospital and now he's in the Heritage Hospital PT area and received more PT his first day there than he did the entire 4 days he was at Belle Fountain. The Belle Fountain website says it's been given a 5-star rating for the last 7 years. I don't know how that is possible after the online reviews I have read and the 3.5 star rating that goes with these reviews. read more

Looks pretty but looks are deceiving. Got tired of being called on the carpet by a "manager" i will call Ms. GRACE. Did not like my mother or her warm and lively personality. Found out that "certain" religious types aren't tolerated. She let her stay for a brief period. And isolated her in a far room away from prompt care. Luckily, i am a customer service professional and sussed out her true prejudices. She(my mom)was there for a brief time but it was too long for me. read more

The care is substandard at best. If you love your family member do not send them to this place. Obvious medical concerns are ignored to emergency level. House doctor seems to be nonexistent. The help available is mixed as some were friendly and helpful, others not at all, although wait time for help was generally unreasonable (hours at times to respond) Therapy is a 2-3 star. Food was awful and if family member can't feed themselves, too bad for them.. Had experience with Symphony and Aerius, and while accommodations were more polished here than at Symphony, the rest is well below others in all areas and that's saying something. All I have left to say is; if you believe in karma, keep loved ones away or plan on a sad future ahead. read more

I came to Belle Fountain in April 2022 for inpatient rehabilitation services after having a total hip replacement. I was weak from having been bedridden for over a month prior to surgery; but left their facility stronger and able to get around well enough to go back to my home. I was impressed with the quality of care I received from the devoted nurses, hard working aides and the knowledgeable physical and occupational therapists. The therapists encouraged, challenged and pushed me when I needed it, educated me about building up my muscle strength and balance and worked closely with me to be as independent as possible. They did such a great job that when I had my other hip replaced in August 2022, I went back there to recover. This is one of the best inpatient rehabilitation facilities in the area and I will be returning whenever I need them again. I highly recommend Belle Fountain. read more

Would give zero stars if possible. Did none of the many things required for patient after joint replacement. 1) referral from rehab to home care not completed. 2) arrangements for wheelchair assist van for follow up visit with surgeon not made as promised. 3) order for raised toilet seat not completed. 4) nurses providing meds often unable to identify which pill was what for patient to verify they were getting right meds and not someone else's meds. 5) aides did not answer call lights to help person to bathroom as ordered by doctor. 6) PT /OT started well with individual attention then moved only to group session without personal instructions or attention. 7) food quality was a joke. Potatoes and sandwiches for lunch and dinner did not match menu card on tray. 8) no bathing!! Told shower days were mornings Mon and Thurs. arrived on Mon pm and told could not get eve shower. Next week told could not get an shower because showers were done in the pm. 9) poor communication with a lot of people in and out - no business cards to remember their names, no contact information for follow-up, no returned phone calls. read more

Bell Fountain Nursing & Rehabilitation facility is one of the best run businesses out there. After my grandmother of 88 years old suffered a fall which left her with severe internal bleeding, broken ribs & a fractured knee out hospital and physician recommended Bell Fountain to begin her road to recovery. I was unsure how much progress we'd make given the fact that my grandmother was bedridden in the hospital with no range of motion for three weeks, but to my absolute shock and amazement the wonderful therapists had her up and walking on the bar in just TWO DAYS!! Not only was the facility beautiful and accommodations immaculate but the administrative social work and reception staff partnered with the housekeepers and the nurses + aids were top notch and always attended to our needs timely and respectfully. The lack of care and disrespect for our mother in addition to extreme rudeness to us by a small portion of the staff was enough for this review! My husband's 95 yr. old mother just passed away at Belle Fountain. She had originally fell at another facility, hit her head and was put in a wheelchair & left at the nurse's station. She was on blood thinners and the standard procedure is to get medical help. After 3 hours she was finally taken to the hospital where it was discovered she had a brain bleed. Because of her age, surgery was not advisable. After a week in ICU she was transferred to Belle Fountain. UNBELIEVABLE difference in care! The staff could not do enough for her, her medication was always prompt, she was bathed daily (until she became unconscious), then given sponge baths. The facility is the cleanest I've ever seen and surprising does not smell like a nursing home or hospital. We knew the last week that she was passing and staff who had been assigned to different areas would still stop in to check on her. We were there 18 hours a day so we got to observe a lot. There is definitely a family atmosphere at Belle Fountain. Not only did the staff care for her but us also, they were also offering us food and drinks. Belle Fountain is lucky to have the staff they do, everyone from housekeeping, to the kitchen staff, to the aids and wonderful and highly skilled nursing staff. WARNING WARNING WARNING WARNING WARNING WARNING My husband went there for rehab at the beginning of August, 2019. He was there less than 24 hours. He had open heart surgery and lost use of his left leg and the ability to urinate. Before he left the hospital they took the foley catheter out so that he could try to regain muscle strength to urinate on his own again. He was to be cathed as needed. He got there late morning. The first person that tried to cath him failed the first time and had to go get help. I stayed with him until evening, about 8 p.m. He called me later that evening and said his blood pressure was high (167/100) and he had not got his meds yet. I went up there and the person they called a nurse had just given him his meds. I asked if she would take his BP again, and she said in about an hour. Two hours later it still had not been taken, so I asked her to take it to be sure it had gone down. she brought in a machine and tried to take it, she left and came back with someone else that had a bp cuff and a stethoscope, and this other person took it. Apparently this person they called a nurse did not know how to use a cuff and stethoscope. His BP had gone down. I went home about midnight. At about 2 a.m. my husband called me and said that he needed cathed, but this person they called a nurse would not do it. She said he was not full enough. I went back up there and my husband said his abdomen hurt and his back hurt and he thought it was from his bladder being so full. I went to the desk where the person they called a nurse was, to talk to her and tell her my husband felt like his bladder was full, and his abdomen and his back were hurting. She told me it wasn't time to cath him, and proceeded to ask me why the foley catheter was taken out, who took it out, why do they have to cath him and told me to go ask him if he wants tylenol for his back pain. She was not going to cath him. We had to call an abulance to take him to the hospital to get cathed. they did scans on his abdomen and back to be sure nothing was wrong. The Dr. said the reason for the pain in the back and abdomen was from acute urinary retention. I would never recommend this facility to anyone for anything. I'm sure this place did not expect a family member to be there in the middle of the night. I really don't think the person that was taking care of my husband had the knowledge to do any care giving. I feel sorry for the elderly that cannot speak for themselves. If you use this place be prepared to stay with your loved one so you can babysit the caretakers. Also not sure if this was racial as the staff that was on the night shift that refused to cath him was African American, and by husband is an older white male, or do they just like to torture anyone, regardless of race? my dad arrived at belle fountain on a Friday evening from an ambulance transfer from a hospital you would think someone would come to his room and check him out this did not happen during the two hours I was there I overheard a worker say they didn't have anybody because they all called off because they just got paid. Saturday when I went to see him he said he had been waiting two hours to be changed when I addressed the issue a girl came to his room and said she was on her lunch break and would get to him in the order of her rounds.sunday called dad he could hardly speak due to difficulty breathing called nurse and told her my dad needs to go to hospital she said she had to get ok from doctor he told her over phone without seeing my dad that he was not going to send him I told her surely you can see his distress she told me I am sorry my hands are tied I cant send without doctor approval but you can come here and call ems I went there ems was called and dad sent to hospital spent five days in icu unit fighting for his life and another ten days on regular floor at hospital when I addressed the issue with belle fountain administrator duane gray he said he was sorry and was using the incident as a training issue if I wouldn't of came there and had ems take dad to hospital he would probably would have died there read more
