There was something in the hand made patty that will bring me back again. The cheese curds were excellent also. I enjoyed the remote location. My food was very good. The woman working there was very friendly and helpful. I think I even saw a small herd of goats in the distance. If I'd been able to order from the regular menu, I'd probably have given it 5 stars.

It looks like the evening crowd would like to stop here for a late snack and a beverage, there are plenty of TVs and games to play. We were not able to try the pizza as they appeared to be known for so if we are ever back in town that will be a must try. The lady that served us seemed to be the only one helping customers because we saw a couple more but they were just sitting at a table wrapping silverware I believe. The artwork is varied and beautiful. We enjoyed a temporary bronze exhibit before moving onto galleries that had work for sale. Between paintings and textile wallhangings, there was something for everything to be inspired by and enjoy looking at. Of particular interest was a ceiling mural in the library. There are so many images and vignettes to discover. The transition area between the Arts Center and Museum was the State Home's dining area. The black-and-white tile floor is still there and gorgeous stained glass panels are along the walls. This was an enjoyable stop during my time in Owatonna. I will return the next time I am in town.

The Owatonna Arts Center is a wonderful place that doesn't get the attention it deserves, It's…read morelocated in the West Hills area among the stately old buildings scattered across the immaculately maintained grounds, The exhibit area has recently moved to a new addition, but the interior still holds true to the classic old look. Each month the subject of the largest exhibit area changes. It's currently one artist's tribute to the farm women of southern Minnesota, all based on meeting and observing them. I grew up on a farm and a lot of these images ring true. Many of them remind me so much of people I knew. There's also a small room that replicates an old Englishman's library or den. As you tip your head back you see that the upper walls and ceiling are an incredible mural. It probably won't take more than an hour to see everything, but you'll enjoy it. The surrounding West Hills area is beautiful. They are open every afternoon except Monday and the admission is free.

This hotel was once a Microtel Inn so the rooms are smaller than usual but we knew that from the start. No problem for us. When we arrived back home much to our dismay we realized that we had left one of our phone chargers. We called Quality Inn, explained our concern and the woman on duty went to the room we had stayed in, found our charger cord and called us back to let us know she had found it. The next day we called again about getting the charger and the manager said he'd mail it to us if we gave a credit card number for him to bill us for the cost. He sent it out on a Tuesday and it was on our doorstep on the following Thursday! The cost for mailing was $10.85 - much cheaper than buying a new plug and cord ! Needless to say we are very appreciative and have only good things to say about the Quality Inn in Owatonna, MN.

All of the staff we met were great, all helpful & kind! We especially loved the bartender on Friday night, she was a great time. We had a king room for the two nights we stayed and it was perfect for the weekend. The bed was comfortable - however it definitely needed a bigger comforter for two people. I ended up with the blanket while my boyfriend ended up sleeping with a lighter sheet-blanket. I especially liked the bathroom in our room! The backlit mirror was perfect for doing my makeup and hair before the wedding. The shower was also the perfect pressure and easy to use, with more than enough towels on hand - both are usually an issue when I stay at hotels. Overall - great new modern hotel! Definitely recommend if you're in the area or planning a wedding close by.
