I've purchased many pieces here, including earrings, pendants, cuffs, and my favorite -- a customized ring. (The display ring was far too large for me, so they placed a special request with the artist, who made one in my size. I had to wait awhile for it, but it was worth the wait!) The staff is knowledgeable about the artists and the craft of making these special pieces. I'm glad I found out about this little gem of a shop years ago, when I asked someone where she bought a gorgeous turquoise necklace she was wearing. Go check it out!

Now my kids have a summer pass at Lucky Strike - all automated - and they go nearly every day all summer long. They're pretty good bowlers. But candlepin is a whole new ballgame. Me, Ben, James & Molly all played here on a Sunday morning. Just on the foothills of the White Mountains so you get the tee box elevation on various holes. Some very beautiful views of the White Mountains from elevated tee boxes and a few elevated greens. Wide open fairways and greens that were all in great shape. The favorite was #10, Par 3 with elevated tee box & beautiful views. Don't be long or you'll be down the hill & pitching up a steep grade. All the tee boxes were in great repair and well marked. There is a restaurant attached with a nice view from the outside patio tables. You can view the short Par 3 10th hole from the patio which is entertaining. All the Staff were great and it all combined for a fantastic experience.

The gallery owner was very informative without being overbearing or intrusive. He did a great job engaging our four kids in the art around the museum and sending them on a scavenger hunt. They went from saying "why do we have to go to a boring museum" on the way there to saying "that's AMAZING!" as we were leaving. They loved spotting places we've hiked and swum in the paintings, and the adults loved looking at the art and learning from the owner. Highly recommended if you're in the area.

While the stores/galleries help artists promote their wares, the League is also about education, so classes and workshops are offered at some locations, for those who want to learn and explore their creative sides.

The airpark was large with enough space for everyone to jump around. Parking was free and plentiful. We decided to do this during our vacation because the kids had a lot of energy. We went on a weekday and it was pretty much empty. The kids had fun playing games at the arcade and jumping around at the airpark (so did the adults). We also got tickets from the games to purchase gifts. Overall, a fun spot to hang out for a couple of hours.
