Took my SUV there last week. I've been using synthetic oil for years. This is the first time I've been told that my oil and filter had to be changed every 3,000 miles. Both men even commented that they need to explain that a lot. Not sure if it's their lack of knowledge or they were trying to rip off a female. First and last time going here. read more

Everything is great; my husband and I come up here almost every time we need something done. The only complaint that we have is some rude comments made after we decline additional services notably this one made by Mike at our last visit. We had let him know unfortunately we have fell on hard times and could not afford a timely oil change. He then proceeded to ask if we wanted an additional service to help with the delay for some extra cost; we declined as we had said before we were trying to make ends meet. His response was annoyed and rude and mentioned something about a warranty to which we replied we did not have a warranty on the vehicle anyways. He also made sure to notate it on our oil change report that we declined this service. If you're in the sales business then you have got to be ready for some rejection sometimes. read more

Dan and Kenny changed my oil, and I left a happy customer. I would suggest this business to anyone in the area looking for an oil change or any other service they offer! I felt like I should have gone to another place instead of here, they over filled my anti freeze, literally all the way to the top like does your employees even know what they are doing, had to wait until I got home to pump out all that fluid so it was at the full line They didn't even check the tire pressure. Didn't clean the outside windows, wiper blades, exterior lights. Kinda wondering if I just got an over priced oil change. If you want things done I would recommend you find somewhere else. read more

Professional from the start. Explained all the options and prices up front. thoroughly checked all systems on my vehicle. Made recommendations too. If you want a down home small town feel with personable staff and reasonable prices, then this is your place. Took my car to the Tyndall parkway service center for an oil change to Mobil One. I trusted that they could do it properly since that is their core business. A couple weeks later I was changing the engine air filter because ALF didn't have one for my car at that time. While under the hood , I checked the oil level............over 1/2 quart over the fill mark. I was a diesel engine mechanic for over 30 years and attended many engine manufacturers schools. They ALL stressed the importance of NOT over filling the engine oil. A local garage agreed with me. I went back to ALF and showed the manager. He angrily agreed and offered to correct it BUT stated it doesn't hurt the engine anyways. With his bad attitude I left and went to the local garage who corrected the oil level problem quickly and professionally. read more

In with a discount card received in the mail which "does not apply" to the type of oil my vehicle took. Then additional service...cabin filter...at about 200 percent markup from online. I actually took a pic of the filter box and looked online. Very "helpful" in that everything was explained. But here is why I am writing this review. One service I agreed to was pricey and I was told...but you get a $40 dollar rebate. I hesitantly agreed. Yesterday, weeks later, I got a "service certificate"that is "redeemable for products and services at any American LubeFast" That sir, is a friggin coupon. A rebate is money I can put in my checking account. Very deceptive practice. Go to your local independently owned service center! read more

It's a decent oil change but can't say much more positive than that. First, we stood outside for 10-15 minutes waiting for our vehicle to be completed before they told us they had an A/C room for us to wait in. Then, I went to use my $5 Yelp coupon code for the technician to tell me "my manager says that we'll take it this time but you'll have to print it out next time". I only found them because of the Yelp app and they want to give me grief about using a coupon from an app? I won't be back. read more

I could not get my oil filter cap off myself, so I came here to have my oil changed. They got me in right away and it took less than an hour. They came to me and said that they didn't have my oil filter in stock because it is a drop in cartridge, but fortunately I had one and they were able to use that. They show you your dipstick before and after the oil change so you know they filled it correctly. The only thing I didn't like was they tried to sell me an expensive fuel line cleaner also, but I guess they try to sell you stuff wherever you go. Overall, if I had someone else change my oil, I would go back here. read more
