After my experience with bedkings, I wish I had gone to IKEA instead…read more I bought a bunk bed with an underbed drawer and twin bunkie mattress, but I was delivered a bunk bed that was so coarse that I actually had to sand down parts of it so that my daughters wouldn't scratch themselves! After putting together the bed, I realized that it was missing parts. These parts were the wires and screws that secured the bottom mattress. The twin bunkie mattress that was delivered was also the wrong style. We had ordered a plain white mattress, but they instead shipped a green, boys' soccer themed mattress. Not a huge deal, but what a pain. So the delivery guys forgot to pick up the underbed drawer on top of everything else. After numerous calls and appointments for a week and a half, I finally got the underbed drawer and since they couldn't get the bed parts from the manufacturer, they gave me a bottom bunkie board. I was astonished that the underbed drawer wasn't very deep. I have dresser drawers deeper than it! I even had to sand down these drawers so that nobody would get scratched. I'm happy that I got a bunkie board as a gesture for my troubles, but I'm severely disappointed at the poor worksmanship of the furniture, bad communication with the delivery guys, and overall experience. I wish I had the same positive experience of many of the other people that bought from this place.

While they did deliver the furniture...they did not wrap the furniture or use any kind of mat or carpet to keep from damaging them. The truck these guys used was an old ford ranger that was beat up. The tailgate wouldn't even open. I will not use again.

Inside this brand new, immaculately clean showroom on Sheffield in Chicago is a wide selection of about 35 fully configured mattresses on display. They carry the major brand names: Serta, Beauty Rest and different types: memory foam, gel memory foam, hybrid and traditional. You can spend as much time as you want, wandering around and trying them out for feel. No creepy salesman on your tail, breathing down your neck. BTDT. This is also an opportunity to learn, at your leisure, about the different mattress types. It's not simple, given the multiplicities of construction available now. There is an 800 number you can call with questions or to order. Ordering can also be accomplished at the in-store kiosk or online. Prices seem comparable to the other retail stores and are clearly posted. But be prepared for sticker shock. Mattresses everywhere are crazy expensive. Probably because they try to build all this technology into them. Mattress buying has always been a crap shoot because the manufacturers deliberately deliberately obfuscate the market by putting different names on mattresses they distribute to various retailers so they can't compete on price.
