Please do not take your car to this place…read more This is my firsthand experience with this repairshop. My car did not start one cold morning (1/5/2026) and I called AAA for a tow. The AAA did not offer to jump-start my car and towed my car to this shop. All they had to do was to jump-start my car and see if my car would start or not. That is the very 1st thing anyone with very little knowledge about a car will do. But instead they told me that my car engine is destroyed and I need a new engine. The gave me an estimated invoice for $11,200. Can you believe that? Yes, it is hard to believe but they wanted to charge me $11,200 for a new engine. All my car needed was a jump-start. There was nothing else wrong with my car. At that point I told them that "NO" I do not want to spend that on my car and I would like my car back to take it to another shop. The owner of this shop forced me to $176.00 for nothing. I mean they did not do a single thing other than wanting to scam me and steal my money by telling me I needs a new engine. I then took my car to another repair shop (an honest one). The mechanic at the second shop jump-starts my car and says to me "There is nothing wrong with your car other than needing a jump-start due to extreme cold in the night before". I have a 2003 honda accord with 120k miles on it so i expect i'll need to have some maintenance done to the vehicle at times. However, when i pulled out of my parking spot one morning there was a huge oil spot underneath my car. Scary. I took the car in for a look. Within about 20 mins Tim had diagnosed the issue, assured me it wasn't that big of deal, and was able to provide me a quote on the service that was more than reasonable. I went to him thinking the worst and that i would be having to either replace the engine or get a new car. Due to my own travel i wasn't able to have my car worked on that week, but Tim was open to communicating with me via text message to set up an appointment to have my car serviced and he even provided a loaner vehicle. (I talk on the phone for a living so if i can do anything via text or email it's a huge bonus for me) Most importantly I felt like i could trust Tim. I hate going to a mechanic and they try take advantage of the fact i know nothing of vehicles and try to get you to pay for services that aren't necessary. I was completely prepared to have other services performed but Tim assured me that if i wasn't having issues with the vehicle they could probably wait and saved me some money in the end. He could have easily put some extra money in the shops pocket but instead he created a repeat customer. I decided to speak to a representative on site, but all of the representatives ignored me and refused to speak to me. When I was finally able to speak to someone, they told me that I was not able to use the system anymore because I did not have a front license plate that was able to be picked up by the system. They even refused to manually redeem the unlimited membership for me despite showing them my active membership status. They also do not offer a barcode or code to enter into the terminal to redeem. They then said there was nothing else they could do to help me and when I reached out to their customer service I find out they don't even have an active email to contact for assistance. Thus, I wasted a $40 membership because THEIR system couldn't not recognize my car. I DO NOT recommend as they are not professional and do not care if you experience any issues. I attempted to reach out via the phone number listed multiple times but only reached a voicemail. I could not cancel the membership because it requires that you contact them, via the number provided, thus I was charged again for a membership I could not use. My only option was to contact my bank to get rid of the charge. In regard to the front license plate requirement, it seems rather restrictive and excluding given not every car has a front license plate especially if the car is registered outside the state of Massachusetts. I recommend that you (the owner) look into a back plate option.

They did change the oil, provided a list of the error codes and cleared the codes. I was charged for $269 for the visit! If I go to anywhere else for oil change, the cost will be $60-70 at most. Bob's explanation is that they use a very expensive computer to read the codes; and the minimum charge is $135. I never knew that any car repair will charge anything for reading and clearing the codes. This is totally a rip-off! Will never go to ASC again!
