I recently moved to Framingham and was looking for an honest, reputable place to take care of maintenance and service for my 2017 Acura RDX. I read great reviews on Yelp, and made my appointment with Absolute Car Care. Dropped my car off this morning - told them what service the car was telling me it needed, and waited to hear from them. A few hours later, Mike called to tell me the car was ready. I went to pick it up, fully expecting them to tell me I needed this or that service for a few thousand dollars. But that didn't happen! The nice man told me what they had done, and even told me about one thing that would have been part of the service, but that my car didn't need! This was a really pleasant experience. Mike and the crew saved my 17 year old Outback from the scrapheap. The car was in good condition until it started missing. So I took it to the local dealer, who gave it a quick once-over and told me they could fix it for $9000+, but really, it's an old car and they wouldn't put good money into it. UNPROFESSIONAL AND FAR FROM PUNCTUAL! Went for an oil change, supporting local businesses during COVID-19 seeing I'm a local business as well Called ahead 24 hours for a 9am appointment. I dropped it off and they told me my car would be ready in 3-4 hours....FOR AN OIL CHANGE WITH APPOINTMENT The owner asked me to not sit inside the lobby due to social distancing. I only own one car and it's Corona Virus Season and only had two options- sit at a park for 3-4 hours or a coffee shop- which you can't sit inside, also because of social distancing. Did this for an hour and then went and checked in with the lobby if they've taken my car in The owner is veryyyyyy unprofessional telling me they haven't started it and it'll probably be another hour, while looking down at his phone the whole entire time. I told him that'd not gonna work for me seeing I thought I had a 9 am appointment. He Yelled to the mechanic to get my car the hell out of his garage and to drive it to the end of the lot so I could walk and pick it up. Insinuating I wasn't worthy of his Mickey Mouse operation he has running. I'm not sure why this is a 5 star shop because the owner treats the customers like they're below him. Sadly, and just my opinion, Not Many Of These Folks Left!! I've been coming to Absolute for a couple of years now and each time/experience has been a good one. Always leaving with mind at ease and feeling well taken care of. I recently purchased a new vehicle and while at the Dealership for some warranty maintenance, they told me I needed rear brakes and that I should get the work done as soon as possible. With the car only being a year old, I felt uncomfortable with giving them the green light to do the job. I called and made an appointment with Mike at Absolute and he told me he would order the parts just in case they were needed. Long story short, Mike called shortly after dropping my car off and said my brakes looked great and still had plenty of life left on the factory brake pads. No Brake Job Needed!! I was told I needed to have a part replaced that cost $600.00, good thing I got a second opinion!  I recently had my front and rear brakes replaced on my Volkswagen Jetta. I noticed something was different about the brake pedal when I got the car back.  I took the car back to Absolute Car Care to have it looked at. The owner, Mike Forman informed me that I needed to have the brake master cylinder replaced and that it would cost $600.00.  I then took the car to the Volkswagen Dealership for a second opinion. I was told I did not need to have the brake master cylinder replaced, to have this replaced is so uncommon. The reason the brake pedal felt different is because Absolute Car Care did not use VW brake pads. Wow, good thing I did not listen to Mike Forman, I would have wasted $600.00! read more

We found Absolute Car Care through yelp and have used them twice in the past few months. Once for a brake job (rotor/pads) / oil change / estimates for other repairs (for a '97 Santa Fe) and again for tire mount/balance and alignment for an '13 RX350. Both times we were treated with respect, the job was done as promised, and the prices are reasonable. Mike is a stand-up guy that is honest and does not make up repairs or push for unnecessary things. He will explain what he will do beforehand and does the job the right way. I had a check engine light illuminated in my car, and the other inspection station said "failed for emissions". I found this to be highly unlikely, so I took it to the shop down the street from my house, Absolute Car Care. The man I spoke with told me he would look at my car (2001 Outback), and call me before he did any work, and I said I didn't need the car for a couple days. I never received a call, but I did find that ACC determined my problem (automatic transmission fluid leak, a far cry from emissions failure), and it cost me just over $200. I was hoping for under $1k for this repair, so $200 was very surprising to me. The guys at ACC were attentive, spoke English natively (important to me, for communication purposes), and very polite. They never talked down to me, as many other automotive shops seem to do. My only issue is that they did not call me before performing the work, as I requested. However, the work ended up costing significantly less than I expected it to cost, so I was happy. I'll be returning to ACC in the future for automotive work, as I believe these guys will give me an honest answer for what needs to be done to my car. read more

As someone who doesn't know a lot about cars when I moved to this area I was very nervous to find a new shop to bring our cars. My husband and I both asked around and a few different people told us about ACC. We are so grateful they did! You really feel like you're getting the sage advice of a loyal friend rather than the run around many other shops give you. I have one of those VW Diesel's involved in the recall, and it has some very annoying electrical problems. Mike took about 20 minutes of what was I am sure a busy day to give me a ton of information, advice and help me come up with a plan. This place is exceptional. They picked my car up for me and dropped it back off at my house so I wouldn't have to arrange for special transport. The check engine light was on (a persistent problem I've had with my Nissan over the years) and upon inspection they found nothing wrong with the vehicle so they shut the light off and didn't charge me anything. Now I have brought the car to the dealership in the past with this exact same scenario and have been charged $100 for them just to take a look at it, even when they found nothing wrong. And that was with me having to take time off of work and sit and wait while the place examined the vehicle. Clearly Absolute Car Care wins! I've had other minor work done at Absolute as well and they have always been very kind, honest and affordable. I only wish I had started coming here sooner.
