The worst moving company I have ever used. They moved me from Post Falls to Boise. They gave me an estimate a few weeks before and then late in the day of the move, they told me my stuff wouldn't fit into the truck and that they were going to have to "repack" my stuff into a bigger truck. This made me nervous because I had reservations at a hotel to spend the night before starting my own drive to Boise early the next day. I specifically told Mike, the owner, that I didn't like the idea of people handling my stuff when I wasn't present. He told me not to worry and that everything would be okay. I had no choice but to go because I was on a tight schedule. Turns out they went through my boxes and "repacked" a bunch of my boxes, including personal stuff like my lingerie. I was furious. Then when I finally moved out of storage and into my home, I discovered that pieces of furniture were missing, two examples: brand new glass folding outdoor table and one end table of a three piece sofa set completely gone. They also damaged my furniture worse than any moving company I have ever used in my life and I am almost 60. My bedroom set had to be nailed back together. When I complained I got attitude. They tried to deny it and I told them I had pictures of the repacked boxes and the damaged furniture so they didn't really have a choice but to offer me a partial refund. The woman in the office dragged her feet. It took almost a month to get the check they promised me and they were snotty about it the entire time. DO NOT use this moving company unless you don't care who goes through your personal items, steals or accidentally "loses" your furniture, and doesn't care if they ruin your furniture during the move. They are sloppy and unprofessional. read more

I am brand new to the Spokane area and was very upset that a 1,000+ lb. safe had been left behind in our new home even though we asked specifically for it to GO!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well, after waiting three weeks for the selling agent to make it disappear, I took matters in to my own hands. I searched online for a company that would come to my home, load it up and haul it away. I couldn't have asked for nicer or more professional service. Miss Sarah rec'd my message and returned my call promptly. She ws able to quote me a price and set up the removal very quickly. I reminded her twice after my price quote that it would have to be brought up from the basement floor via 14 stairs and that it weighed a ton and it didn't phase her or change the incredible price. Five Star Service and Five Star response! In the future, any moving or handling needs I have or anyone I know has will be done thru this stand-up company. Thanks Mike and Miss Sarah. Michael lasher make you feel like part of the team at American Moving, camaraderie andn a sense of unity seems to be the foundations of what keeps the business running. It is a place I want to work rather than just go and try to collect a paycheck and go home at my regular 9 to 5. I would recommend any one use his operations and services offered. Getting the job done right and making a customer satisfied seem to be the whole deal he explains it everyday in the morning all the time customers, satisfaction first, and getting the job done are what American Moving is all about, and the fact that we are a team. We had an amazing experience with American Moving company! We used them twice in the last month, once to move a safe and few items and the second time to move a 4 bedroom house! Matt and Dominick did our big move and I can't say enough good things about them! They were so hard working! I can hardly believe how they lifted/moved everything with ease and care, always with a positive attitude and friendly conversation! They put up with my indecisiveness and lack of organization which made a long job even longer and did not complain, remained helpful and worked quickly even when one load turned into to two. Contacted American Moving Co. upon the recommendation of a friend and they were great! Only had a couple of large items I could not handle myself and needed to get them moved out of storage and into my second floor apartment quickly. They were very responsive setting up an appointment within my schedule, arrived at my storage unit at the prescribed time and moved the items in less than an hour. Their 2-man team of young men worked extremely well together, and both were very careful and cautious with my appliances. I have used this company several times in the past 2 years for both house moving and moving my much cherished antique upright piano. I have always been very impressed. Robert and Matt are always polite and on time and take special care with all my precious items. Recently my husband and I bought a 2300 LB safe from Allied Safe and Vault, Spokane which by the way they came highly recommended by Allied. They moved it like a breeze and bolted it down for us. American Moving moved my our three story house from Post Falls to CDA. I was super nervous moving because we have alot of expensive, heavy belongings. We have a pool table to a gun safe, a hot tube, and a piano. The two movers moved our entire house in record time. We were blown away that two guys could move such heavy objects so perfectly! Hands down--the best moving company we've used, and we've moved a lot! They were professional, worked quickly, and treated our furniture and boxes with care. What really stood out to us was the attention they paid to moving the furniture throughout the house, carefully navigating around corners and doorways to not hit the walls or damage the furniture. I spoke with Kristi about my Safe. I was hoping I could get it delivered before the end of the fill week (I called on Saturday). She said, she would check into it, with no guarantees. i got a call at 9:00 am Monday, they had a pick, but would deliver my safe later in the morning. They callEd when the were headed over, off-loaded it and put the safe exactly where I wanted it. What a great bunch of guys and friendly. I used this moving company back when i first moved here and they did an amazing job so i called them up again. I have a massive grand piano that belongs to my mother before she passed that i needed moved. We spent almost 3 hours deciding where in the living room it would look best at. I know i made everything so much worse by changing where i wanted it but the boys just smiled and moved it to the next place i thought it would look good. Wonderful moving company!! read more
