THE PEDICURE WAS $75 AND ABSOLUTE TRASH. I was a walk-in, gel pedicure on Friday 21, 2024. The gentleman who took me in seemed to be somewhat in a mood, not very friendly at first. Eventually made conversation as time went on. Might just be his personality. I believed there were only 2 employees working when I came in. I was not given a service menu or offered "types of pedicures" so I'm not sure if there is more than one service available. I asked if there was guest WiFi, he said no. I was only getting one bar 5G (practically no service). The reasoning behind it was "it's the same WiFi used for our payment system and we don't want hackers.". He asked if I had AT&t and said that is the reason I don't have good service here so I was unable to use internet. The building felt like there was no air circulation and it was hot. Mind you, outside was 87 degrees. The pedicure was honestly trash, he only did my feet, literally. He never touched my calves or shins.. and no massage. When he did the exfoliation, salt scrub, he only did the top of my foot. Which was pretty confusing. When he did the lotion he only rubbed it into the top of my feet and ankles. Again, never getting my shins or calves. The building was clean and beautiful. They offer bottle water but it's $1 each. No price menu posted anywhere. NOT WORTH IT. read more

They really love to go after younger people that are less experienced. Hate this Owner has an ok attitude. Does not keep good conversations. Makes things very difficult and awkward when doing nails. Nate did a wonderful job. I loved how peaceful the environment was when I came in. I was unaware that you have to book an appointment, considering I just went to yelp to look for nail shops. So when I walked in I asked are they appointments only, lucky for me they took me because an appointment was canceled. But I do respect that they grounded in their appointment policy. I had been a customer a couple years ago, and each set I got was fantastic, they did a really good job at shaping. After a couple of years of not getting my nails done and a move to another city, I had tried a new salon that was closer to home and absolutely hated the outcome of those nails. Just moved to KY and already had awful experiences with other salons in the KY & IN area until coming to American Nails. This nail salon has to be ONE OF THE BEST I have been to in years. Nate and Lin are always personable when you enter and do an exceptional job with nails. I usually do dip powder manicure and have fully transitioned to gel powder under Nate's recommendations - GAME CHANGER! I will never go back to dip with the time saved alone with gel powder. Also noticed gel powder was much stronger and longer lasting. The salon is appointment based which is much more convenient with folks like me who adhere to a schedule. Fiberglass technique over priced and perturbed that it only lasted on my nails for three days. Cuticles weren't even pushed back, or received a full service mani- my bad for assuming for the price I paid I'd receive a full service ($75). Attitude of one was somewhat cocky and repeated over that this is his own technique he created. I probably misunderstood, maybe not. I tried, I tried to be pleased and days later I'm not over yet. There was no rush and they take the time to make sure everything is perfect since they operate by appointments. I had a great overall experience and plan to go back very soon. For what I got, I really have no complaints about this place. I got a regular, basic polish change on my toes. Their selection of polish was decent. I also ended up getting a gel polish on my fingers. The gentleman knew how to make sure that the color was IAW the regulation. I got a pedicure and added acrylic with gel, my boyfriend got a regular pedicure and they charged him $50 and I was charged $90! UNACCEPTABLE. I tried this place since I didn't feel like driving to Louisville today and since they had three 5 star reviews. Shortly after the guy started, I was already regretting my choice of trying somewhere new. I've been getting my nails done for 10 years, never have I had gel nails, only acrylic. When telling the guy I just needed a fill in and I had acrylic nails, he instantly told me I was wrong and they were gel. I watched the last guy do my nails and I know what I paid for so I knew they were acrylic. I definitely felt like he was just trying to get more money from me so I was very aggravated. I've also NEVER been ANYWHERE that charged me $3 to take 1 minute to trim my nails down maybe a centimeter or want to charge me $5 to put regular glitter nail polish on my ring fingers. So a fill in that would cost me $15-$18 plus tip else where, he wanted to charge me $26. That's crazy! He was very rude and I was ready to just walk out after the first 10 minutes. Another lady complained while I was there about him charging her an extra $10 for an "oil treatment" but didn't tell her it was extra on top of her manicure price. Will never recommend or go back to this nail salon again. read more

They nickel and dime u too death to increase profits. 5$ extra for regular glitter polish! 5$ extra to remove glitter polish! 20$ extra for gel polish! Anywhere else it's either no charge or10$ extra for gel nail polish. Really enjoyed the experience. Got the fiber nails and it is soo natural! If you are military, I would definitely recommend this. The shop is clean and they are very friendly. They definitely put you at ease and are very knowledgeable. Their pedicure chairs are cool, I like the message portion of them because they are not too aggressive like some of the other ones I've seen. This place is not a bad spot. I enjoyed going in and being able to get right in the chair. They only had two customers in the shop when I got there so it wasn't bad at all. The overall service was good but I think it's a little too expensive. It was my first time going, I really needed my nails done, but didn't really know what to expect. This location was terrible. I've never experienced the type of disgusting customer service from a nail tech. As a service member who finally has some time to get my feet and hands together. I come to this shop and it was the wrong way to start a Saturday morning. We requested an appointment for three, was told to wait until 12:30 pm and they would be able to service us. Upon arrive we were greeted by one male nail tech (who was doing another customers nails) and one female nail tech who was ready. There was an appointment for three but only one tech available. We continued with our appointment and got a call to go. We asked if we could make another appointment since they weren't able to service all of us at once which is what was promised. The female nail tech stated "I'm almost done with her" She only clipped two of my battle's toes. I than offering to pay for the service. Since her feet was soaking in the water. The female nail tech than began to spew racists terms towards the two black soldiers and was trying to throw their stuff out the shop. The male nail tech apologized and told us it wasn't that serious. It was the worst place I have been to since my stay at Fort Knox... I would not ever recommend to my worst enemy. read more
