Just checked out today from the woodland splash cabin as for the cabin it's newly remodeled very nice we loved it we notice some minor issues when we came but I don't really like to complain I just like to fix it on my own the issues I had came strictly from the cleaning crew it was hair everywhere shower the pool something was also inside the pool, our feet and socks were dirty because of floors,we had to clean the grill, the toilet had the clean paper on there but dirt crumbs was on it sons as you open the lid I use Lysol wipes to clean it up again the cabin is very nice just cleaning issues. read more

If I could rate a zero star I would!! We are from Florida so we drove 12 hours Friday to not only celebrate my birthday but a first family vacation. Friday night we got there and had to call 3 times!! First we didn't have any hot water, then we found bugs in the beds and on the floors, the upstairs bathroom toilet didn't have a chain so it wouldn't flush, the downstairs fireplace wouldn't work, the washer barely had any water running, and the top of the cabinet had food/ trash as if someone was throwing food over the stairs.After a long car ride like that we all wanted to take a nice warm shower before bed. We have stink bugs and lady bugs in Florida so we know what they are/ look like but we searched one of the bugs and it said bed bugs... When we called we were told no body would be out until the next day and it wasn't an emergency. No matter what type of bugs who wants to sleep in a bed full of bugs after a long drive like that?? The next morning the maintenance guy came out to fix these issues and he was a very nice guy. He listened to everything we said and by the time we came back we had hot water, the toilet flushed, and the fireplace was working! We got a phone call and they said they would send someone out to clean the house but everything looked the same way as when we left that morning. We all took showers and figured why not try an enjoy it since we already spend this much money and wasn't offered to be moved to another cabin or anything. Just that they would contact us after our stay... Sunday morning we woke up with no hot water again.... They came back out and got it fixed again and then we had it the rest of our trip. Though it ended there, NOPE!! Sunday night my sister went to lay down and she had water leaking on her bed. We didn't call because it was 2 am and they would have just said it's not emergency again. She slept on the couch that night. Monday went good we stayed in because it started snowing. My boyfriend cleaned the filter to the washer because it was full of dirt and the washer started working AMAZINGLY ! Monday night my sister went to lay down again and the same thing happened once again. Tuesday morning after we packed and got ready to leave we check the room to make sure we didn't leave anything behind and it started leaking in 4 more spots!!! That bed is going to be ruined and it is going to start stinking. So to say the cabin is ready and clean is a LIE!! It looked as if the cabin hadn't been clean in forever and when we started the shower it seemed like the water hadn't been ran in a good while. The cabin and view was beautiful but to pay as much as we did to have to come to something like this is CRAZZYY!! I didn't come on vacation to clean/ have to call someone everyday because there is a new problem everyday. My mom did get a call but all they could do was refund the cleaning fee and a 25% off coupon for our next trip. Yes we are thankful for something but I feel as that just isn't enough and we will definitely not be booking with them again. And if it was the cleaning company I would definitely get a new one because they don't know how to clean. I have my own business and WOULD NEVER DO THIS TO SOMEONE!!! Not to discredit anyone else's experiences, but I'm so glad I didn't read reviews before booking or I might have been scared away! My husband and I booked the Soaring Heights cabin through American Patriot Getaways in Gatlinburg from 12/6-12/11. We had the best time! The cabin was really clean & well kept and I thought it was a great value for what we received. The only reason I'm not giving them 5 stars is because there are a few little things that could be updated to make the experience perfect. For example, the cookware was pretty worn out & the games were scattered amongst different boxes and missing pieces. Also, the pool tables were uneven and the darts were missing the sharp piece to make them stick. We really appreciated the place being pet friendly & the effort they went to so that it was decorated for Christmas! My husband called customer service one day to extend our stay an extra night (which is discounted by the way) and the woman he spoke to was very friendly. They were having computer issues so she couldn't complete our reservation, but blocked it off so no one else would book the night. She called us back within two hours to collect the payment and process everything. We were very satisfied with customer service & the ease of check in/check out. I can't speak to any cabins besides Soaring Heights, but thankfully our experience was nothing like the other reviews here! read more

Rooms were not clean and the drive to our cabin was HORRIBLE. The fireplace didn't work. One of the lights was out in the cabin. No stoppers in bath tubs and my family called on the second day asking for some and they never brought them. There is no view at our cabin. Cobwebs all over z every decoration is crooked. Probably the only positive is that the hot tub worked, but that wasn't clean. Towels are terrible and beds/pillows were crazy uncomfortable. I wouldn't tell someone I hate to stay here. read more

We rented American patriot (Views and a Pool) was our cabin. Horrible just Horrible we paid good money just to have a pool while staying here. The night we get there we type in all their (codes) for everything and I mean everything!! And we step in the pool and the ALARM goes off and it's deafening loud thru the whole house and it won't go off after we put the code in. over and over it would do this. After it did a count down it finally stopped by then we had had enough after a 6hour drive with kids and dogs and my son has a hearing condition he was completely traumatized with the loud sirens that he cried for a hour and wanted to leave.. This was horrible. Cabin was disgusting. Obviously had not been cleaned. They were disorganized, and honestly the worst customer service I have ever experienced on a vacation. We lost an entire day of our vacation and had to book something else, until they got it resolved. I am NOT picky and I work in the industry, so I know how challenging it can be with rentals. I am giving a poor rating from staying in the "Pot O' Gold" cabin. This was the worst shape cabin I have ever stayed in. I understand that places age over time. The worn out finish floors and stairs gave it a bit of a rustic look, but the cleanliness was beyond sub-par. The floors were dirty throughout. Layers of dust and derbies under beds nightstands and cabinets. Broken light fixtures in a bathroom and a dryer that would not dry clothes. The basement remained humid also. We did the usual bed bug check all throughout with nothing found. The outdoor lighting in the front was very dim and difficult to see past the porch. Lots of light switches that we could not find a use for. Now, it's nice to get away without electronics, but there was no Wi-Fi and zero cell (AT&T) signal on the property. Our friends have Verizon which wasn't any better. The drive was very pretty. Not too far outside of Pigeon Forge. Maybe a 10 minute drive. It was very quiet here with little traffic noise. The main floor AC worked well and the sit on the back porch in the evening was nice. I'm sorry I am unable to leave a better review, but please have someone come in here and give this place a deep clean. read more

We rented The Roost. It's been a terrible experience. The tubs and shower were filthy. The bottoms were black and the tub had a thick, brown scum ring around it. The rugs in front of the shower and sink were black. We called for someone to come clean the tubs and shower. They were just as dirty after the lady left so we had to buy cleaning supplies and clean everything. The 1st night, I was bitten by spiders 4 times while sleeping. The next night, I was bitten 6 more times. We had to buy bug spray and spray the bedroom. There were 4 wasps flying around the den and Asian Ladybugs everywhere. The den and upstairs tv have not worked since we got here 7 days ago. The downstairs king bed has a queen comforter on it, which barely covers the top of the bed. The cabin is beautiful and spacious but very poorly maintained and absolutely filthy. American Patriots gave us a 10% refund for the spider bites and the cleaning fee. I'm thankful for the refund but don't think it's enough. read more

My husband planned a sweet valentines weekend for us staying in a cabin. First of all we didn't get our check in code and when we called to get it we were told the fireplace didn't work which we really wanted on a cold rainy weekend. After arguing about it, they gave us another cabin and when we got there the code box battery was dead so we couldn't get in and was sent back to the original cabin where the fireplace didn't work. There was dog poop behind the toilet in the master bath and the floors throughout the cabin was dirty and sticky. Then after a long day exploring Pigeon Forge we came back to the carbon monoxide alarm going off so we called the office and they were going to send a maintenance guy out to check it. We checked the battery ourselves and it was not dead which meant there was probably a carbon monoxide leak somewhere and they refused to give us a refund even though we told them we weren't risking staying there all night due to a serious health situation that would occur if the leak was there. We left at 7:00 that night pissed and tired and fed up with this company. DO NOT STAY HERE EVER!!!!! And we were told we would. not get a refund for the nights we did not even stay even though it was 100% there fault. We are going to see if our credit card will help us dispute the charges and get ALL of our money back read more

This was the email I sent to the company after arriving at the cabin. After also completing a survey, I was offered assured the company could provide me with a better cabin next time at a 25% off rate! No thanks. Don't waste your time on this cabin. We even called ahead of time with concerns over bad reviews we read and were assured all was fine! After being at the Taj Mahal for over 24 hours now, I wanted to send you a quick update on the cabin.  We are very disappointed to say the least.  We had high hopes for the cabin and are not impressed with the overall condition of the cabin for what we paid.  I just wanted to bring some things to your attention as we have stayed in several cabins in Tennessee over the years and this is by far one of the worst.  Overall, the cabin looks nice as a whole.  But once we started navigating our way through, the issues are rising.  #1. The cabin appears to have been cleaned as quick as possible.  Basement steps never vacuumed and very dirty.  The kids have black feet after running around for an hour or so.  Bathroom drawers have dirt and things in them.  Jacuzzi tubs appeared dirty. #2.  Dryer is not heating.  We have been trying to dry the same load of laundry all day and it is still wet. #3. Kitchen cabinets are very greasy and worn.  Countertop is worn.  Flooring by the refrigerator is worn. #4.  Almost every pot or pan we pulled out to cook with was dirty. #5. Main master bath jacuzzi tub has a faucet handle completely detached. #6. Upper level jacuzzi tub could not be used as water turned 100% cold before even reaching the level of the jets. #7. Outside hot tub only has half the jets working and was slimy. #8. Recessed lighting on upper level is detaching from the ceiling.  Blind is broken. #9. Some bathroom bulbs are burnt out. #10. Lack of curtains or blinds where rods are placed and one would like window/door coverings. #11. The amount of spider webs on the porches that are never tended to. #12. The amount of bugs and whatever else in the upper window sills of the livingroom.   I have enclosed some photos for reference.  I plan to take and send more tomorrow.  I wish I had a better report after speaking with you previously in regards to a bad review on the cabin, however the cabin is very worn and neglected. read more

While we were on our way to Gatlinburg we received a call from the supervisor at American Patriot Getaway. She told us that they would have to put us in another cabin for one night because of a septic issue. Needless to say we weren't happy because we were put in a different cabin that we had to choose from for one night and the next day move to the cabin we originally booked, the one that had a septic issue. Lol. We tried getting a refund or credit back but the supervisor said they can't predict when something fails or needs to be repaired and that she upgraded us to a better cabin. If this cabin is an upgrade we will be disappointed with the other cabin. The price was very high to begin with but I felt I would splurge a little since it was our anniversary. Because of the service we received and their reluctance to make it right, moving us instead of just keeping us in one spot, we will not be using this company again. Started by booking our cabin "5 Star Celebration" for an Sat-Sat trip only to be told the Wednesday before arrival our "cabin was no longer being managed by APG"." So after picking out a comparable cabin and calling back to confirm it I was given a slightly hard time about not going with their initial suggested alternatives (both smaller cabins without all of the amenities our family was looking for and already paid in full for). Here comes arrival day at "Without a Paddle." First find in the laundry room are some old pizza boxes and an empty 6pack box left behind. Mistakes happen... but then came the filthy dishes, the games in the living room just thrown into old torn game boxes in complete diasarray(I organized trying to find one with all of the cards and make the most of it, no luck), and then the filthy living room with food remnants under the couch and tv stand, in the cup holders of the couch and under the area rug, piles of dead carpenter ants and a HUGE carpenter ant problem in terms of live ones (I know critters live in the mountains but this was bad)... then cue the gas grill being so filthy with grease and no grill brush in sight so only 1/4 of 1 of the 3 of the burners work... and to top of not being able to grill our dinner as planned the fire place doesn't work. Woohoo! After realizing this just wasn't going to make for an enjoyable birthday/easter/family vacation I called Guest Services a second time because things just kept going to down hill. Luckily Ashton was super polite and helpful. She quickly helped with my request to move to another cabin the next morning on Easter. It was smaller and really not what we payed for initially but not her fault and I was just grateful she was working on a Saturday night before a holiday and got it handled. We've never had such a disorganized and disappointing experience with the other cabin rental companies we've used our last 4 years coming down to the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area for Spring break as a family. Our final stay at "Dreams do come true" cabin was at least clean and in working order otherwise considering it was a downgrade from our original booking. Auntie Belham's and Heartland rentals are other previous rental companies that were great for our family so we will look to returning to those for future trips. read more

We checked in yesterday for our stay at Precious View cabin. When we entered it smelled like the place had been doused in a scented cleaner so we thought it had been very well cleaned. NOPE! The smell quickly went away and it now smells very stale. The coverlet on the bed was dirty and to replace it I found what I assumed was a clean blanket in the chest of drawers but it turned out to be absolutely filthy and smelled like a dirty wet dog. The remote controls are absolutely disgusting with sticky goo on them and food or ?? on them. I looked for cleaner but found none. Went into town today for Lysol wipes and laundry soap so I can spend part of our vacation cleaning. Not at all the relaxing retreat we wanted. The door in the bedroom has a good 1" gap between the door frame and the door. Their solution wasn't to fix it properly but to just add additional face plates stacked up on each other so it latches. But that doesn't do anything for the gaping hole all along the door. I see now some reviews saying there are centipedes, etc. Perhaps if the doors actually would shut it might keep unwanted pests from entering. The wall next to the bed is filthy as well. Tons of dirt and hair everywhere. It would take 10-seconds to use a handheld vacuum and suck some of the dust & debris up while cleaning the floors. Then it wouldn't feel so gross. The windows are filthy as well. We grilled our lunch today and there are no metal spatulas, only a plastic one. That doesn't work for grilling out. We managed "ok" with a metal spoon but it certainly wasn't ideal and we almost burned our hands flipping the burgers. We have five more days here and I cannot wait to leave! read more

I am so disappointed in this vacation, I don't have a lot of extra money for things as I had to take on a grandchild to raise, this was supposed to be a quick family getaway before she started kindergarten. What a nasty hot tub, could not bathe it shower in the cabin as it smelled like sewage or rotten eggs anytime water was used. Called and emailed the reservation number they sent cleaning people out took them 5 hours to revive the hot tub. And they even said they were going to call the office and require us to be moved as they were gagging while using the water. We rented Pool & A View which had a list of amenities and for the category "Fireplace", under it said "Electric Fireplace" and under that it said "Fireplace" which to us sounded like at least 1 real fireplace. Well it was only 1 fake fireplace so the picture it shows is absolutely photoshopped as this fake fireplace was just a light. We let American Patriot know of our concerns as this feature was very important to us but they didn't care and simply said the listing was correct. We advised them that we are going to look for another cabin and expected a refund and they told us that they are absolutely no refunds. We will never rent from this company again for their deceptive practices. The spa and indoor pool heater also quit working over the weekend and they're listed "24-hour service" was also not provided. Garbage was also not picked buy a garbage company during our 8 day stay so they let us know that we were supposed to reach out to them to let them know to pick it up as we had garbage in our cabin for 2 days waiting for them to come pick it up outside. I've never heard of this type of garbage service nor is it written on any of our emails or check in instructions. Bad experience overall. read more

I booked our cabin months early only to have it cancelled last minute because the property was sold. They offered a full refund but we'd already purchased our airline tickets. They didn't have any cabins available for our entire stay so they booked us in multiple cabins, one for the first 3 days, 'The Roost', and another for the rest. Got to the first cabin that had NO running water.... Called the guest services multiple times, each time being told they were sending someone out, that is when someone answered the phone. Thankfully there was a hot tub so we could use that water to flush the toilets We are now on our 3rd day with no running water, looked in a shed out back to find 2 broken PVC pipes, uploading photos. Half the time I call guest services I sit on hold for a long time... just to be sent to voicemail. A horrible vacation and the worst customer service I've experienced in a very long time. read more

Booked this cabin (Shilo Cabin on Gattlinburg, TN) based on the reviews. First I will say the company was very easy to work with, I give them five stars. But, the cabin it's self AND location we're bad, not as advertised. The cabin has a lot, I mean a lot of differed maintenance. The front porch is sagging and drops off maybe six inches, a very strong sag/angle. Older folks may have an issue with the sharp drop off/angle. The comforter on the bed smelled and felt like it had not been washed in quite sometime. The dust ruffle on the bed in the second flood appeared to have a questionable white, crusty stain or drip on it (let you mind run wild with that one). The second floor shower has a bit on mold around the bottom of the shower. The bottom floor shower did not work at all, a small trickle of water would drip out but our friends had to use the shower on the second floor. The shower on the top floor was only about four and a half to five feet off the floor. It was useable but difficult. Localton... a pain in the rear to get to, do not book if snow or ice is in the forecast. Sitting on the main floor or top floor deck(s) you over look an apartment complex parking look, it's only about 75 feet away, very loud and bright lights at night. You do get a view of downtown Gattlinburg but you have to look over the apartment complex. TV's every where, good thing! Over all, it's dirty just pain ole dirty. Seems like the owner of management company is not checking up or following behind the cleaning staff. I paid over $1,000.00 (taxes and fees) for two nights. I truly wish I would have just stayed somewhere else. read more

Yikes! I won't go into great detail regarding our stay at "Soaring Heights" cabin. Let me say that Soaring Heights is in desperate need of pest control, a good cleaning and repairs. We had mice getting into our food, and pooping in silverware drawers, cabinets, on the floors and bath towels. The cabin was absolutely filthy and the number of broken items throughout the cabin was disappointing. Broken items listed as amenities by American Patriot Getaways. I am going to leave it at this. I would not suggest staying in this cabin unless a guest reviews back at a later date that things have changed. It's a shame because this cabin could be something great, too bad nobody cares. I did speak with APG upon checkout explaining that the cabin needs some attention and the response, or lack of was baffling. I don't think we will be booking through American Patriot Getaways again. We were without water at our cabin for the first 24 hrs of our stay. The company offered no solution to the problem, we were told to just wait and see if they could get it fixed. We had to bucket water out of the pool or hot tub anytime someone had to use the restroom. We stayed at Bearfoot Memories. We loved the place alot. The reason we are giving a 2 star is there were a lot of problems we had. Took three tries for the door lock to recognize the pin code. We stayed a full week and only had 2 trash bags. Called and they said that we have to get the rest. Called about hot tub. They said it was cleaned before we came but there was all kinds of Algie in it. Also called because the jets on the hot tub didn't work. They said that's how they suppose to be Went to grill some food. The grill was really nasty. It took 3 hours to clean it. We was told that the outside pool was open. We went down there and pool was under construction. The door to the cabin wouldnot latch. Where do I begin? We were VERY disappointed in our stay. 1700 dollars to stay in the "Taj Mahal" for overgrown trees to completely block our "mountain" view. The deck was in dire need of being stained, rotted in many places, there was moss and rotting wood all over it. The swings and chairs were rotting and full of splinters. There was not hot water, after one shower. The water itself stunk like bacteria growth. I lost my entire breast milk supply from a week of pumping a because the of the poor water quality, had no choice but to dump it. Devastating! It was foul. There was an exposed wire on a live outlet right when you walk in the cabin, the remotes had sticky tape on them. All the TVs has some sort of metal frame around them which looked like a prison or fraternity house protection measure. Deck needs to be stained. There were multiple missing lightbulbs. A seal was broken in the basement which allowed tons of millipedes to overrun the game room. You could see the gap between it. The dressers were broken, if you opened the door to it they completely feel out. We paid a ton of money for an experience and was given excuses, put on hold and not called back. The end result was getting 200 off and a 25% off towards our next stay I'll put the joke response to all of our issues below: View being blocked-told they would work order it for after we leave!? Millipedes - told they would work order it for after we leave!? Broken outlet with exposed wire -Fixed that day, but why was that ever left way? Broken remote-Fixed that day, but why was it left with old sticky tape?? broken furniture- told they would work order it for after we leave!? Multiple missing lights-told they would work order it for after we leave!? TVs- no change Water- the changes the filter and turned the heater on the next day. Why did it take me complaining? Gross! They did offer to move us to a smaller cabin, which cost less, was a half an hour away from our stay and overlooked a busy street on the second to last day. No thank you, that would be more time out of our day to deal with moving and more drive time to destinations. They did not even offer help in moving. Put on 20+ min holds many times, no call back. I hate to give a bad review but I just couldn't stop thinking about the bad experience my family and I had during our stay at the smoky mountain mist. We reserved the cabin for a four day weekend vacation and everything went smoothly upon our arrival. Check in was a total breeze as it was just a telephone number away of calling or texting to retrieve a passcode to the key's lockbox. Our vacation took a turn when my sister and her boyfriend had several bite marks all over their bodies the following morning. Originally, we thought that it may have been the mosquitos that caused the problem but then I realized that the bites were in clusters. The three of us went upstairs to the bedroom that they slept in and inspected the mattress and to our surprise, we found a live bed bug! We immediately called guest services and informed them about the issue. We requested to be relocated but was denied so because of legal policies. The representative sent a pest control guy out to inspect the room and he also confirmed that the mattress was infested with bed bugs. In addition to the infestation, we found out that the upstairs bed was never replaced with new linens. While we were inspecting the bed for bugs, we found a huge yellow stain resembling urine still on the sheets. After this discovery, we started having doubts whether or not the entire cabin was ever cleaned. American patriot was extremely helpful with handling the situation and even offered to refund us for the inconvenience. However, I will not book my stay with American Patriot specifically the smoky mountain mist as there are probably better cabins elsewhere. Tip: fully inspect the mattress and surroundings for bed bugs before sleeping on it. Saves you the trouble of itchiness, red lesions and stress! read more

Upon arrival the keypad would not work to open the door. (Customer service wanted a picture of keypad) customer service spoke to us like we didn't know how to do it. I might add we have a keypad on our front door at home!! Had to wait for maintenance to come to open the door (probably with a key) then to be told he had no issue and it worked fine. We later took a video of locking and unlocking the door from inside,,,it worked once. We were afraid to lock the door when we left for the day incase we couldn't get back in. Next issue was the water. Oh my goodness. "Nasty". Note inside said "well" water. We brushed our teeth and bathed with water we bought. Your hands smelled like iron. Cabin needs attention bad!!! Lacks lighting in all rooms. All of this was explained to customer service with no compensation offered. Except they said they have a "no refund policy". Supposed to have a 25% off next stay. Should have received an email I never got!! Stay there again...no thanks!!! I would have expected the 1st night free!!!!! read more

We stayed in "Paradise Found" and veryyyyy happy. Very Very. I did it backwards and read the reviews AFTER I booked and I'm not going to lie - you guys (the reviewers) had me worried that I made a huge mistake. I did get the travel insurance, so I know I could cancel but instead I just opted to take chance and just to get there early (at 4pm) fully equipped with everything from disinfectant sprays & wipes, bug bombs, and bed sheets... in response to what I read in the reviews. This was my first time doing the cabin stay in TN and I didn't know what to expect. Glad to say that I didn't need any of it. I still wiped down counters, table tops, etc. in light of the whole COVID thing, but found nothing to be dirty. Checked the mattress for bed bugs - nothing again + it appeared to be new and sheets were spotless. Also, nothing gross under the bed. Not discounting anyone's review because we should probably all be checking this stuff no matter if it's a 5-star hotel or cabin in the woods anyway and that can be easily forgotten. Everything was made easy by reading the instructions beforehand and also with the posted instructions inside! Definitely read before heading down or at least screenshot it BEFORE going up the mountain, if you aren't able to print it out. I didn't follow the map as recommended, I used a GPS, but I could see why they recommend NOT using GPS. Made that decision because I'm terrible with following maps AND because I was driving up during the day & was okay getting lost as long as I had daylight. Roads narrow into a single lane and you HAVE to pay attention. The suggest roads probably weren't as intense though. I happened to be paying attention to the cabin names, too, so came across mine but the GPS wanted me to continue another .3 miles. Getting the code for the lock box was quick & cabin appeared clean and smelled clean. Perfect size for a couple. Very cozy and cute. No door to the bedroom - mentioning because I have a 100 lb dog that I don't allow in the bed anymore because he steps on us... pretty sure on purpose, too. I brought one of those metal pressure gates with me & it fit perfectly in the doorway with no damage. I originally brought it for the top of the steps on the deck so my pup wouldn't wander away if we were on the upper deck but the space was wider than I expected - bring an extender if you plan on doing the same! Again, this is specifically for "Paradise Found". There were a couple of other cabins around, but not too close. The trees provide a great amount of privacy. I would 1000% say at Paradise Found again & would definitely rent from Patriot Getaways again with hopes of more great experiences. read more

When my friends suggested a cabin for mlk weekend I was skeptical because it is winter in the mountains. However this trip was the most fun ever!!!! It was very cold but inside was amazing and packed with accommodations so we were super comfortable. We had a 4 bedroom cabin with a pool table and a hot tub! Although we didn't use the hot tub we were still super comfortable. We were able to talk and watch movies and fellowship and more importantly rest in a Covid friendly very clean cabin. We booked our vacation for three nights at pool house cabin in settlers ridge . The pool which in pictures looked absolutely amazing . Well it was filthy and no chairs, nothing , the pool water was very disgusting . Looked nothing like the beautiful pictures. Then going to bed we found dirty bed linen blood on the pull out sofa matress . The lights out side did not work. The entire loft was cob webs. I was never so disgusted and disappointed . We left a day early , unfortunately there was no place to stay so we were stuck there cleaning and doing laundry . No pool time . And I even asked if they were taking extra cleaning measures during Covid . Why of course they said yes ! Never ever again ! read more

It's not very often I go on a vacation and get more than what I expect but American Patriot Getaways has done an amazing job of going over and above. The cabin was allot larger than I expected to start and then the views that I looked at before I booked on the site didn't even come close to doing justice to what we saw upon arrival. Every view looked like a painting from our cabin. 6 person jacuzzi on the back deck, washer and dryer, chefs kitchen, pool table room overlooking the mountains, community pool that had a modern design, 2 charcoal grills, jacuzzi tub in the huge master bedroom and your own private bathroom as well. The cabin was close to several landmark locations and the shopping in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg was top shelf all the way. The activities in Pigeon Forge and local restaurants kept us happy and the locals and business owners gave us a big dose of southern charm. If your staying in this area give American Patriot Getaways your business and you'll leave with great memories. read more

We recently rented a cabin for two nights. The cabin was nasty. It looked like it had not been dusted in years, the couch was so gross with dirt and stains I did not even sit on it. We will never rent from them again. The bed spread was wore out and looked nasty, the tv only had one channel!!! Save your money and stay somewhere else!!! read more

Our experience with American Patriot Getaways was horrible. My husband and I booked a 4 night stay (10.31-11.4) for our 10th anniversary (10.31). Upon arriving to the cabin (Just Relax) we discovered that the driveway was impassable because of the steep grade and because it was covered with wet leaves and debris. We attempted to get up a few times, but never even made it half up without our wheels spinning and sliding. We contacted APG to notify of the situation. The staff member we spoke with immediately stated that the listing for the cabin stated that there was a steep driveway. Dear Reader, the listing did not say this and still does not say this. The only solutions provided to us were a maintenance man coming to the cabin "at some point" to leaf blow the driveway or move to a new cabin. We tried to explain to the staff member that the leaf blower solution was not an option because the steepness of the driveway was still an issue. Also, the cabin was surrounded by trees, the leaves would just keep coming back down - were we supposed to have a maintenance man come blow the driveway every time we wanted to leave or return to the cabin? Were we supposed to just stay in the cabin our entire trip? We asked about the other cabins available and were told that there were two available within our parameters (pet friendly) and they gave us the names so we could check them out on the website. The staff member assured us that the cabins were both easy to reach - no steep driveways. The first cabin listing we pulled up clearly stated under accessibility - FOUR WHEEL DRIVE RECOMMENDED. We pointed this out to the staff member. We looked at the second cabin and nothing was noted about the accessibility of the cabin. We had to wait a bit while they searched the cabins and during that contacted other rental agencies. At this point it was almost 8:00 p.m. and we did not trust the APG listing, so we made the decision to go with a wonderful cabin from Aunt Bug's. The plans we had made for that evening were ruined and we'll never get that night back. We didn't think we'd get a whole refund from APG but expected to get something back since the issue was their fault. We were told that they have a no refund policy (even if they are at fault) but that they could give us a voucher for a return stay - as if we would ever book with them ever again. Book anywhere else but particularly Aunt Bug's. They saved the anniversary trip that these "patriots" almost ruined. read more

We had a vacation books 12.30/11.4. We stayed at Lazy Bear Camp First... when we got there the carbon monoxide alarm beeped we called in and told them and they said they would send someone out but they thought it was just the batteries dying. I asked what if it was more serious than just the batteries dying and told them I had my daughter with us and I was worried. They replied "you would already have carbon monoxide poisoning if there was a serious problem" THATS NOT ACCEPTABLE and they didn't care AT ALL! The floor was FILTHY We had to find a dumpster to empty the trash outside as soon as we got there because they didn't empty it when they "cleaned" the cabin before we got there. Even though I don't think they cleaned it at all because it sure didn't look like it & we had already been told a cleaner wasn't assigned to clean that cabin yet. Also we had to empty our garbage outside during our stay because they never came by to get it. The recess light was falling out of the ceiling in the downstairs bathroom. Hot tub is in the back yard and the walk way to it is gravel and mud so be prepared to have a dirty hot tub as well. They also had construction going on nearby and had equipment up and down the roads all day. Very rude at guest services. You would think they would keep things more clean and talk to you in a nice way instead of talking to you like you're an idiot! read more

I wish I could leave negative stars however that is not an option. I have never had a problem staying in a cabin in Gatlinburg or pigeon Forge in 15 years. However, this past week was horrible. Patriot getaways falsely advertised the Jacuzzi tub which was dirty with no hot water and did not have jets, it had no working fireplace, and the hot tub was unusable on the first night because the temperature would not get high enough. We did not get what we paid for, and the staff was rude and kept hanging up on us when we called. Maintenance took over 24 hours. And still did not fix anything. I reached out to get a callback from management and they told me their policy states they are not responsible for any refunds. They falsely advertised a luxury cabin, and we got a low-grade cabin at best. I recommend you staying far away from patriot getaways if you want to have a good trip. read more
