I rented from Heartland Cabins since 2005 and was so looking forward to this 5 day stay. God's Grace was the name of the cabin. We arrived a little after 6pm, after driving from Ocala, Florida. The cabin is awesome at 1st look. Bedroom separated correctly. We had unpacked and getting a few things from the grocery store and dinner. We looked at the cabin, the 1st stop was the main parch area off the main floor. We found cob webs so thick with bugs and debris in them around the hot tub area. Then we checked out the lower floor, where the pool table, bedroom area were. We went out and was greeted by a very unsteady rail on that porch area.. Then the top bedroom area were the arcade games were really no problem at this point. We went back to the main floor and found dirty areas, 2 dining chairs broken, and the main bath had something scratching from the outside to get in. Knifes were missing and dust in every corner. By the vent on the floor it looked like it never was cleaned right. As any other traveler we bought tickets prior to our arrival. I called the office to make them aware of the issues, talked to Ashley she said well we take videos and everything look fine but they would have maintenance out. I at that point said look we will not be around and I felt uncomfortable with someone coming in when I was not there with my personal stuff and my friends stuff out. Besides this was 2 women traveling alone. Her husband and my dad ok'd this trip. I said I wanted her to note the broken furniture and the rail to be fixed prior to new guests, and we would not be using the porch with the broken rail. Well as time went on I found both bed frames broken, I went to wipe a spill up and the white paper towel turned black. Now when I got back home I had several Dr's appts set due to a heart attack I had March. So it was a few days before I could write them. I wrote them, I requested my final bill and where I could review them. Now their response was they were aware of the broken bed rail and a part was order. Why did they not tell me this prior to check in. As 2 adults were staying there. The also reminded me that I should had let them come out, I ask why should I put off my vacation time to repair their crap. And that they have video tapes. OK explain to me how a childs book was under a leg of the pool table to balance it. Well I was going to give God's Grace the cabin a 3 I wrote about my experience on their referred site and guess what. They only publish 4-5 stars with the complaints of parking and they need a new coffee pot. So here I am giving a review, Hoping that owner will see and see what management co they have working for them do. I do have pic's will post as soon as I can. I am thinking about letting the BBB know about this issue also. Look not even a I am sorry or apology. Beware Of heartland cabins.

Went on vacation...came home with "Hot Tub rash"! I am giving this review 2 stars because the cabin was beautiful as well as the view, so I can't deny that. Alternatively my girlfriend and I had what looked like numerous "bites" and "clusters of bites" after sleeping in the cabin and using the hot tub for 5 consecutive nights. I contacted Heartland Rentals about the issue 2 days after checking out and spoke to "Casey" numerous times only to receive a disparaging email from Heartland Rentals about what we were experiencing. I was never able to speak to Shelia Ogle (Owner of Heartland Rentals) and corresponded via phone or email with "Casey". Our initial presumption of what causes the "bites" looks to be wrong, since I had to see my General Practitioner because of the way it spread and got diagnosed for Pseudomonas a.k.a. "Hot Tub Rash". Heartland Rentals did inspect the cabin upon my request and only responded with an email informing me with "negative" results for the bug inspection but no inquiry into my well being or my girlfriends, and it was chalked up to "Chiggers" by Casey. Since I can see a divide had already been created by management of Heartland Rentals, I did not inform them of my Pseudomonas diagnosis, which is usually caused by a "poorly maintained hot tub or pool", because I doubt they would care at all. I had supplied photos of what we were experiencing and management basically tried to blame the customer and insinuate that I was lying about the vacation. As of 19 Jun 2020 I am still on antibiotics for this condition and never thought something like this would happen. Casey said the they "drain and sanitize" the hot tub after every guest, and maybe they do. They just don't do it good enough and have the photos to prove it. If this incident had not happened or if the management responded better I would be giving a 4 or 5 star review. As it stands, we will never use Heartland Rentals again. Follow Up Info: Heartland Cabin Rentals never did reach out to me on their own, nor did they post this review on their webpage for the "Alone With A View" cabin's website. Instead..they did send me the following email which has been copied below. I am on round 2 of antibiotics as of 28 Jun 2020...over 3 weeks from my vacation with Heartland Rentals. View the pictures and decide for yourself if Heartland Rentals and their wishes of "health and happiness" is where you would like to spend your hard earned dollars!? "We are very sorry you and your girlfriend contracted this. We want to ensure you the hot tubs are drained, sanitized and cleaned at every check out. When Casey spoke with you,he did suggest possible chiggers being we are in the mountains and guests hike and do nature trails. This was a common response and in no way spoken to divide the guests from the rental company. We are dependent on guests to inform us of any issues like that. However, we have to follow proper protocol to get to the bottom of it. Casey was simply trying to find out all of the information and rule problems out. I, Shelia, am not in the office all of the time like Casey and the others. Email is the best way to reach me as I am in and out in meetings with owners and checking cabins. Once again, we are sorry this has happened. We wish you and your girlfriend health and happiness. Sincerely, Shelia Heartland Rentals"

I was offered a different room, but then the head housekeeper said my room would be available in 10 minutes. Yay for communication! We had a king room. There was a light-blocking curtain that pulled between the sitting area and the bed so that there was nominal privacy if someone was sleeping on the sofa bed, but as there was only one TV and no actual door dividing the sleeping areas, you couldn't really watch TV after the kids go to bed without disturbing them. The room had a microwave, dishwasher, mid-sized refrigerator, and kitchen sink. It was convenient to be able to keep drinks in the fridge or have the option to reheat leftovers. The bathroom was recently renovated, but the water pressure in the shower was unusually poor. One of the nicest features of the hotel is the outdoor pool that has a decent slide and also some water features for the kids. As the hotel is on a hill, adults can appreciate the views of the surrounding mountains while watching over their splashing kids. There's also an indoor poor, but it's a standard pool, no cool features. There's a free breakfast included with the room. It's pretty basic, usually DIY waffles, toast, cereal, yogurt and a single egg and meat offering. The orange juice was awful. Only apples for fruit. However, it was convenient and free, so I can't complain too much. My only gripe is that housekeeping isn't daily/automatic. They'll clean your room if you have a longer stay, or if you call and ask them to come and clean. I guess the days of daily maid service are done for this class of hotel. We were there only 2 nights, so I suppose it wasn't a huge deal, but I might look to a fancier hotel in the future because I really do like having my bed made up and towels tidied when I'm on vacation.

Had to ask for towels every other day which was challenging bc the staff acted as if they didn't speak English. Took the trash to lobby as the can in room was small and no housekeepers and for it. The beds are 4/10. Room was cleaned about 0/10. Stains on items. Dust. Hair. Won't stay here again when there are so many options.

Staff was super friendly and helpful. Every interaction was genuinely friendly, fun, and welcoming. The rooms are a good size with an indoor fireplace that adds a nice touch and large bathrooms. They have outdoor balconies overlooking the shopping area or river - which was great for seeing nature (geese, beavers, herons). Facilities are nice with a good sized gym and large rooftop pool and hot tub overlooking the Ferris wheel. The roof has plenty of lounge chairs and the chill bar with great staff that will bring your orders (food included) to your chair. The hotel is pet-friendly and has an indoor fireplace-house restaurant and bar (Fins) with an outdoor patio. It also has an onsite Starbucks. While pricey, the amenities, room size, great staff, and location made it worth it! We've already started talking about our next visit!

The bathroom had a vent with tons of rust, the paint was chipped all over the walls. Beat up and scuffed furniture. The patios were sad and depressing. The patio door was broken and did not lock. The view is "sad creek with creepy parking lot." The hotel also gives a complimentary margarita coupon to guests. We do not drink alcohol. When I went to the bar I asked the manager if we could trade it in for a non-alcoholic margarita or NA beer and they said no, only alcoholic margaritas. How ridiculous! Not even a freaking mocktail margarita! After staying at the Gatlinburg resort property this was a huge let down. We have since learned they are two different franchise owners. Suffice to say, we were going to stay two nights. We paid for two and after one night we left and booked a room at the Gatlinburg location instead. That's how bad it was.

Got there around 10:00 and the room was ready. Great! Got to room and it was pretty small and filthy (table had crumbs/sticky, not vacuumed etc). Went back to the front desk and she offered to switch to same room for no charge or upgrade to a slightly bigger room for $20/night. We opted for that option since as a family of four, more space is worth the cost for us. We got to that room and again, not the cleanest and there was pubic hairs on the bathroom floor which basically sealed the deal mentally nothing good would happen. Because this was a timeshare offer we called them and finally after we left and had lunch they just put us in another room. They did refund the $60 and gave us three breakfast vouchers for each day but even this room was not clean to what "Hilton" standards should be even though the manager walked through the room personally. In the end, this made it very easy to say no to the timeshare presentation as their excuse was Hilton bought the property just a year ago so they aren't all up to standard yet. The lobby was beautiful, the pool area looked nice but my kids said the water was freezing. I would never pay for the $17 dollar breakfast as it's basically the same free stuff you get at every other hot continental breakfast. Basically, you couldn't pay me to stay here again.

Check-in was seamless, and the front desk staff were friendly and welcoming. They have a nice 24/7 drink bar with instant coffee and tea, plus another bar with juice and tea options during breakfast and again in the evenings (7-10). Small touches like that were a nice surprise. As for the room, it was a good size and overall comfortable. The beds were great, though I did notice housekeeping service declined a bit as the week went on. Towels varied in softness, and the complimentary toiletries were below average -- I'd recommend bringing your own. For a listed 3-star hotel, I'd rate it closer to 2.5 stars. The property is clean and cozy, but for the price point, it could use a few tune-ups. That said, I'd stay here again, especially if you're traveling with family or kids. The pool and hot tub area are nice, and the continental breakfast was fairly decent. Tip: If you're staying on the first floor near rooms 110-120, you might want to request a different area unless you're an early riser -- hallway noise can be noticeable from people coming and going in the morning.

Wowowowow, where do I start?!…read more Pigeon Forge is a mountainous Vegas-like touristy town. There are tons of hotels, some are great and others...not so much. Those great hotels are often going to cost a pretty penny while those more affordable ones are going to be a bit rough around the edges. So where can you stay in Pigeon Forge that isn't going to hurt the bank account while giving you a relaxing stay? Well look no further...Twin Mountain Inn & Suites is excellent AND affordable! I'm a Hotels member and when I saw Twin Mountain Inn and Suites' 5 star reviews, I was curious, especially because at the time, the rates were about $97/night AND pets are only $20/night. Not only that, the room had a river view with a balcony, fireplace, and free parking. Now, I've kept this hotel on the backburner on my account. Last time we visited Pigeon Forge, we stayed at Drury and spent so much more on a "Mountain View" that overlooked the parking structure. So, this time, I decided to go with my instinct and book with Twin Mountain. Boy, am I glad we did!! We stayed on the third floor. Don't let the cover of a book fool you. The parking is easy but can get full pretty quickly, true. However, the room was probably on of the cleanest hotel rooms we've ever stayed in. The beds were comfortable. The shower was hot and had good water pressure (albeit, no conditioner or body wash-just a small packaged bar of soap. There were two small bottles of shampoo). There's a microwave and mini fridge in the room. I also liked that there were two sinks, one in the bathroom and one just outside of it (vanity). This was convenient for two people. The AC/heater was powerful, too. The fireplace is timed and creates a cozy atmosphere. The balcony overlooking the river was peaceful and there were two plastic chairs and a little table out there to sit and enjoy the view of ducks and geese. Twin Mountain Inn and Suites is close to the strip but away from the flashing lights and noise. It's a great location! Breakfast is included and had biscuits and gravy, eggs, yogurt, sausage, fruit, cereal, and one waffle maker. There's fresh coffee and a juice machine, too. It was a tight squeeze as it was very busy for 7:30am so I decided to get one biscuit and gravy, two sausages, and a yogurt to take back to the room, which were all very good. There's a drink vending machine outside of the lobby and one near the parking lot. The elevator was convenient and they also had luggage trolleys, too. This was an outstanding stay for one night and I wish it had been longer. I highly highly HIGHLY recommend staying with Twin Mountain Inn & Suites for your next stay in Pigeon Forge.
