I had an incredibly frustrating experience with Cactus Valley Plumbing that I feel obligated to warn others about. We originally hired them to install a water heater, and paid for both a drip pan and overflow line--which were never installed, even though they were clearly listed on our invoice and paid in full. After our home required water mitigation, the water heater had to be temporarily removed. When we called yesterday to have it reconnected, we were told there would be no charge--which made sense, considering they didn't complete the job properly the first time. Then today, out of nowhere, they tried to charge us $900 to reconnect it--claiming that because a "third party" removed the water heater, our warranty was void. Funny how that wasn't an issue when the water mitigation company removed it, and they never brought it up before. This feels like nothing more than a bait-and-switch combined with price gouging. It's unacceptable to treat customers this way--especially when the original job wasn't done correctly to begin with. I would never use Cactus Valley Plumbing again and absolutely do not recommend them. Dishonest, overpriced, and completely lacking in accountability. read more

I would recommend staying very very far away from rodeo plumbing, cactus plumbing, or whatever they may change their name to next. My elderly mother who's going through kidney failure called me and said her water heater wasn't working. I looked up local companies because I like to support small businesses. I found rodeo plumbing. Corie was very responsive... at first. He came to the house, told my mother her water heater was out of warranty, she believed him. Corie advised the water heater needed to be replaced. Corie called his technician Keith, who was in town and could be here within a few hours with the new water heater. We paid the replacement cost and cost of the new water heater. Well, before Keith got here, I called the warranty company and they advised we had two years left on our warranty. I called Corie and advised of that before Keith got here. He said "great, we'll work on getting you reimbursed." When Keith was done installing, he wanted us to sign the invoice, we told him we wouldn't sign it until it said "pending reimbursement for warranty." He was very frustrated and annoyed with us, but he wrote it on the invoice. Well what do you know, they never emailed us that invoice. I've asked several times since this to contact Corie and he constantly says "I'm working on it." And nothing has been done, it has now been months. They've stolen from us and refuse to reimburse us. I will be taking this matter as far as I can take it. People who take advantage of the elderly should be held accountable to the highest degree. The heartlessness of this "company" is laughable. This is for services rendered by their prior company Cactus Valley Plumbing, whose google page has since disappeared since the merger with rodeo plumbing. August of 2025 I paid $1100 for unclogging the toilet sewer line and a flange repair. Come December I find out my toilet is leaking at the flange and the craftsmanship of the repair was horrible. The plumber fastened the flange with ill-fitted wood screws at a sideways angle into the plywood below the toilet (I have a manufactured home) and it had come completely loose. At this price-point there is no excuse for such poor craftsmanship. This is something I'd expect from an unlicensed, under-the-table handyman. I spent an afternoon learning how to install flange CORRECTLY and fixed it myself for under $50 in parts. I would like a partial refund of $600 for the flange-repair portion of my bill. read more

These guys are scumbags. We called them to replace our water heater since it leaked and caused some damage, we were also doing a home owners insurance claim for repairs to our house at the same time. They agreed to replace the heater for us, remove it for the repairs and then finish installation once repairs were complete for a set price. Which we paid in full. There is no contingency in the contract for which contractor does the repairs to our home, but it turns out cactus valley has sister companies that handle all the stuff for home owners insurance claims and they want to double and triple dip. The contractor they "recommended" has terrible reviews so we found our own and when cactus valley showed up to finish the installation they wanted to charge an additional $900 because their recommended contractor didn't do the repair work. We had already paid them in full for the water heater replacement. We've called and emailed with no response. They have never performed the work we paid them for read more

## Straight-Up Scam Disguised as a Plumbing Company## I don't know how companies like this sleep at night. Our sump pump failed and was leaking, so we called Rodeo Plumbing & Drains for emergency service. The owner, Corie Bennett, showed up, played the role of the friendly professional, and immediately started selling fear. He told us we had to replace the sump pump and claimed Phoenix basements require a "specialized" system with a special warranty to handle the workload. That story conveniently came with a price tag over $4,000 higher than industry averages. I questioned it. He insisted. He pressured. He doubled down on the lie that this was some unique, high-end, custom solution. Against my better judgment, I trusted him. Big mistake. The next day, the installer came out and was gone in under 2.5 hours. No complexity. No specialty work. And here's the kicker: they installed a basic, off-the-shelf Home Depot sump pump -- the exact opposite of what I was sold. The installer himself showed me the brand and model. So I called Corie. Instead of explaining or correcting anything, he dismissed me, told me I was wrong (even though his own installer proved otherwise), and hid behind, "Look at the contract you signed." Translation: We lied, you paid, too bad. When I mentioned leaving a Yelp review, he threatened me. Let that sink in. This is not an honest mistake. This is intentional deception: sell a fake "specialized" solution, massively overcharge, install the cheapest standard equipment possible, and then intimidate the customer into silence. It's predatory, unethical, and disgusting. If you're considering Rodeo Plumbing & Drains, do yourself a favor: run. Get multiple quotes. Ask for exact model numbers. Don't trust a word coming from Corie Bennett's mouth without proof. I wouldn't let this company touch my home again under any circumstances. Could not be more satisfied with the service from Rodeo Plumbing & Drains. Several plumbing companies contacted me through Yelp, but Rodeo's response time was incredibly fast--within an hour of calling, which was especially lucky since it was 12/21, right before Christmas. The water flow from my kitchen sink faucet was weak and slow, and the sprayer head was barely dripping--definitely not strong enough to clean pots. I even had a brand-new replacement faucet ready to be installed. Plumber Cory removed the faucet head and discovered a clogged screen. He cleaned it, and like magic, the water pressure returned. STAY AWAY! Charged $3,500 for 1 person to do 5 hours of work (that's $700 per hour) and left nine large holes in my drywall for a slab leak that required running a line through the attic to connect two ground lines only 8 feet apart. They did not use technology to find the lines... just cut out pieces of my wall until they found them. Also left me with reduced hot water pressure in three lines throughout the house and eventually a leaky shower after they finally came to check it out days later with no support other than encouraging replacements (pressure was always fine and no leaks prior... including earlier that day). Was assured by the owner of Rodeo Plumbing that "his guy would take care of" the dry wall repairs but 10 days of assuring me it would get done daily eventually led to me finding someone on my own. Owner then agreed to only cover $500 of that work while it was being done and that money has never come despite saying he processed it with the credit card company two weeks ago. He refuses to pay by check... stating he's "doing me a favor." This has gone on for over a month. I wanted to support a local business and the owner seemed nice. PLEASE don't make the same mistake. STAY AWAY. They bill as Cactus Plumbing even though I outreached Rodeo Plumbing and Rodeo is not registered with the Better Business Bureau. I have learned that this should have been done for less than half of what I paid with minimal wall damage. Rodeo plumbing ended up charging $700/hour for this work. Use a reputable plumber for your own piece a mind and don't let them into your home... unless you want to pay $700 an hour for someone to fill your home with holes and not follow up if any issues occur. read more

I don't understand how there are so many positive reviews. Sadly our experience was the opposite of all these nice reviews. Yes they were polite and helpful but at the same time they charged us insane amounts of money reassuring us insurance will cover it, or most part. $1600 for a 2 minute job replacing a fitting on a plastic pipe. When asked about the price, the answer was that insurance will take care of it, dont worry. My problem is not the cost, its the fact that we were coerced into agreeing to pay. I understand insurance doesnt cover everything, but why convince people that this is the case when its not? Price is insanely high but "dont worry, insurance will definitely take care of most of it". Really shady way of doing business. Shame. Update: They called me regarding this review and I happily answered thinking this was about making things right or an apology that the process was not fully transparent, but instead I was harrased on the phone by the owner who clearly was not in the right mood for a conversation. read more

The first company quoted me $1300 more than K&B for a hybrid water heater, that won them my business; however it was the tech that I had out that sold me on K&B. My boyfriend and I needed a pipe replaced ASAP. We all know having water turned off during the summers in AZ, even for 10mins is a nightmare. We were at the 5 hour mark, trying to fix the issue ourselves. After a valiant effort from my boyfriend and his bad back, we decided to throw in the towel and get professional help. When we called we were told Chris was out on another service call but would be at our house in a few hours. CVP was the only company that could get out same day, even when we said it was an emergency. Long story short, Chris called, arrived and got the work done in just about an hour. My boyfriend enjoyed talking with him and exchanging ideas. Chris got the right parts and made sure we wouldn't have this problem again for 5-10 years at least.
