As we move into summer, our 11 year old AC unit started having days where it would stop blowing cold air. We'd turn it off for a bit, turn it back on and it would work just fine for a few more days. Didn't seem to be a problem with electric, refrigerant, etc. We'd had the unit serviced recently so not much dirt on the unit.. I guess we're lucky because in the few years we've been here both our units have functioned great. Wasn't sure who to call, but we'd had a great experience with the plumbing side of Hansen, so we reached out. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Scheduling was very easy. You can do so online, or a real person answers the phone[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They offered to have someone out within a few hours! Our problem wasn't that urgent, but it's comforting to know[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Benjamin was our technician, and he was great with communication.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] He diagnosed the problem (leaking fan motor) very quickly, and gave us options for repair. At no time was he pushy about anything, just factual. We were on the fence with repair vs replace, but decided the unit had enough life in it to repair. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ben also gave us figures on replacing with an eye towards the future. He wrote it all up even knowing that we weren't going to buy anything in the short term[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. This is really excellent customer service, and you can bet when we're ready we will remember. The repairs were done quickly, we got an email with the invoice and pictures of all the areas worked on. The property was left tidy, and it was an overall excellent experience. That was a week ago, and our AC is working better than it has in the past two years. read more

What a waste of time. To the "hansen family" dispatcher i talked to, sent photos to and said "if you this job isnt up your alley, do not waste my time." Hansen Family: Gotcha... continues to waste my time. Hired these guys to come look at leak coming thru vent, gave me no explanation. I sent them photos prior, asked them if they had 0 roofing experience to not accept this job. Low and behold has no roofing experience, told me my brand new 12 year warranty AC setup looks like a$$ & then asked for payment. I called this morning and they responded promptly; the staff was kind and all but with zero troubleshooting from the technician for the actual issue and quoting me over $1000-2000 is despicable. I'm beyond disappointed, I was treated like I'm an idiot. I don't know if it's because I'm a woman and that the made tech think that I would stupidly agree to an overpriced repair or because they're incapable of fixing older systems and try to steer away from that option. I was told "they don't sell that part anymore anywhere" Yikes, Home Depot does and still does. Thankfully our neighbors son is a plumber and came over after they saw the Hansen truck leave and asked us if there was anything they could do. The parts the technician said no one sold anymore was $18 from Home Depot and the issue was resolved in under 15 minutes. Shame on you Hansen Family. I guess it's not illegal to gouge your customers.", it just means you suck. I'd rather call someone who is going to actually test the system and work to determine the actual problem, not just say the only thing to do is replace the entire system and try to screw money out of their customers. I used yelp to call a couple of local plumbers and decided on Hansen Family because they're Veteran owned with stellar ratings. Dave showed up as scheduled and found my toilet flange was my leaky problem. I was quoted a fair price and the toilet flange was repaired efficiently. EXCELLENT service. My husband is in the construction industry, and we have used numerous plumbers over our 30+ years together, and he said "This is the most thorough plumber I've ever seen and he is super nice man!" We knew we had a leak somewhere because of our water bills, but didn't know where. Xavier arrived the same day, did a very exhaustive inspection, gave me a quote, and repaired the problem right then and there. Have a leaky bathroom sink and turned into needing two sinks and valves replaced so I got three estimates. Hansen was my first, and Dave came out and was fantastic. But had to get the others out of diligence. Second guy came out and gave me the same price but tried to sell me a water softener. 5 stars for the technician that came out and did a wonderful job, quickly and professionally. I was getting my washer/ dryer and dishwasher delivered by Costco, they came and said I needed new valves and I went on Yelp to find a technician to help me ASAP. I went with Hansen after seeing their good reviews and were available within 30 min. The problem was fixed so quickly that Costco was able to come out same day and install, but they didn't have another apt so o had to wait. But i was thrilled the problem was fixed. I paid over $500 for 2 valves to be replaced. Next day the dishwasher people came in and same problem under my sink. When I was telling them about this issue the day before I said I can call Hansen again, I told them how much I paid and they were shocked. They charged me $120 and $240 to do the ones under my bathroom sinks and both toilets. I was overcharged and that disgusted me. I literally cried once the dishwasher people told me how much I was over priced that's where they lost the stars. So again tech was great. Job was done but the cost hurt! read more

After a couple of days of hearing water running when water shouldn't have been running, I finally realized that something was wrong and started investigating. I discovered a leak somewhere behind the bathroom vanity wall. Being somewhat handy, I got the water turned off and removed some drywall to discover water where water definitely should not be! Then I turned to Yelp to help me get the leak repaired. I started a "project" and quickly heard back from a few plumbers. Hansen Family Plumbing had availability quickly at a time that worked perfectly for me. I scheduled the appointment. My technician Mark was available a bit early and reached out to me via call/text. I let him know that I was ready when he was... and he arrived early for the appointment. He was friendly and did a great job explaining the situation and answering my questions! The problem was a pinhole leak that Mark "pinpointed" almost immediately. He cut out the copper pipe in the problem area and replaced it fairly quickly. No more leaks and problem solved! We had a garbage disposer issue that I could not repair. I often check Yelp for information and found a number of highly rated plumbing companies that service our area. The first three companies that I called answered my call with voice mail. I called Hansen and a friendly, polite, and efficient person answered the phone on the first ring. Given the lack of attention to customer service these days, I was pleasantly surprised and expected to be told that they would be able to service our needs days or a few weeks from now. More pleasant surprises, they had Dillon at our home the very next day! It gets worse. Dillon was on time, polite, knowledgeable, and had our disposal running again in a few minutes. The cost? The best service! So many pro's. First, setting an appointment was a breeze. You get a text. The day of the appointment, you get a text with a picture and bio of the plumber that you are scheduled with. Second, our plumber showed up on time, super personable and extremely knowledgeable. Our bathroom is in need of a remodel and he worked to get us a simple fix at a very reasonable price. While we were quoted $1800 from one plumber, the work was done for under $400.
