Scheduled an appointment two weeks in advance and was given an arrival window of 8:30-9:30 AM. Unfortunately, there was no call and no show during that time. At 9:30, I finally received a text saying the technician was "on the way." I understand that jobs can run over, but it's common courtesy -- and basic professionalism -- to communicate delays to customers ahead of time. My worthless home warranty company denied my claim (without even sending a plumber to look at it because "leaking" is specifically excluded; even though it wasn't merely "leaking;" it was "gushing water due to catastrophic internal mechanical failure; but, I digress). I hired Kevin when I was updating two bathrooms and building a third (in a large laundry room). Suffice to say I could not have done this project without him. He replaced my main water line, re-piped the water lines in the whole house, and plumbed my laundry room into a third bath! He helped manage the inspections during the process as I was hours away in Tucson. We needed a new tub valve installed for the trim set I selected as part of our bathroom remodel. Fantastic service from Hunter of P & L Plumbing. The stars aligned and Hunter was able to arrive within 30 minutes of when I made the call. I had a leak on my pressure reducing valve that was revealed to have been incorrectly installed by a previous plumber. He talked me through what he diagnosed as the problem and even waited for the glue to dry to insure his work would hold-up under pressure (I had to call the previous plumber back because of leaking). He also replaced the cartridge for the control handle of my guest bath that had become restricted. He was a good communicator and he provided options for me to consider without any pressure. I now understand why so many people give P & L Plumbing 5 starts. They were the 2nd company that came over to diagnose the leak we were having with our upstairs tub. When our daughters took a bath, the leek was so bad that it was coming down like rain in the kitchen. So then I sealed the overflow with duct tape and they then used the shower a couple days later but it did the same thing. The 1st company Lawson Family Plumbing sent a tech. He said he had to cut a hole in the dry wall in the closet that was at the other side of the tub. He advised that the over flow need to be replaced as it was loose and the contractor that installed the tub did not do it correctly. He then tested the tub and ran the water but the leak was not coming from that, so he then told me to look at the side of the tub and see the water stains and that the kids were probably taking their showers with the shower curtin out of the tub. I told him there is no way as they are young adults. He then went on and explained how people do not understand that any water that is spilled from the upstairs floor goes directly downstairs as the floor soaks it in . My wife and I were like absolutely not but whatever he is the expert. So he said he suggests to change the overflow but that the only way to get to it was under the tub and that they needed to cut a hole in the kitchen ceiling. So we said fine please give us the estimate to get it done. They charged us $350 to cut the drywall in the closet and the diagnostic. Their estimate came out to be over $2300 which did not include the price to fix the dryways .Thankfully, P&L had an opening 3 days later so of course we wanted a second option. The brothers ( coolest guys ever BTW ) came over and they looked at everything. They did say that the overflow should be replaced so the Lawson tech did get that correct but also that there was a pipe that was not completely attached and that because of the hair that has collected in the pipe it was causing the water to not completely flow through the other drain pipe and cause the water to flow over. They came back a week later and replaced and fixed the issue and did all the work through the small hole that the Lawson Family tech cut out. P&L did an amazing job at a fraction of the cost that the initial company quoted to fix the problem. I will not go to anyone else but P&L for any plumbing needs. Do yourselves a favor and just use them the 1st time. read more

Several tub and tub/shower diverterters didn't work in a home we recently purchased. The tech stayed with it figuring out how to disassemble the speciality faucets. He was able to remove corrosion, clean and lubricate the tub shower diverterters so they work like new. He had to research the tub diverter but he did find it and ordered it for us.
