This is just a warning for anyone considering Quality Roofing. We met with Franklin and his team…read moreand thought they were solid. They were not our cheapest bid but not the most expensive either. We chose TPO. Our contract specified the work as welded TPO. They started work, tore off the old roof. I called to warn them that the weather report was for heavy showers. They told me they were prepared. But they were not. It was a huge downpour right into our home. In comes the flood squad, insurance adjusters and everything else. After a six figure claim, Quality finished the roof and helped with all the drywall and damage work. A few months after they leave, the rain comes and so do the leaks. Small at first and then some larger ones. We thought Quality had gone out of business, so we contacted another roofer. They pointed out the seams were not welded. They were taped over with adhesive. And the roof would continue to leak no matter what we did. The work was not up to GAF standards. Since then we have been patching and running for buckets. We have resigned ourselves to the fact that this brand new TPO will need to be ripped off and replaced. Even the work they did to put another layer of bitumen on the upper roof leaks. Every roofer who has seen the work is astonished by how bad it is. I don't know who is writing the positive reviews here and in Google. I suggest you dig a bit deeper. There are also a lot of 1 star reviews that match our experience. So. Beware.

Let me start by saying that I second a lot of what people are saying about Carlos: in that, he…read morecomes off as a nice guy, he has a nice crew, and he has a drone that he flies over your house when searching for an issue on your roof. Where I disagree with the other reviews concerns Carlos' ability to deliver results. Because in my case, he simply did not deliver results. To be clear, I paid Carlos $1,600 to FIND and REPAIR the source of a leak above my upstairs bathroom. He came out, flew his drone around, and told me that he found the issue. After doing some work on the roof, he then told me that he found the issue and fixed it. A couple months later, still had the leak. He subsequently sent a crew member out to find the source of the continued leak. The crew member went up to the roof, did some work, and told me that he found the issue (a different issue than Carlos first found) and fixed it. Still, the leak continued, and only became worse over time (see attached photo). For a while, Carlos talked a good game about coming back out to repair the leak after I sent him photos and videos of the fact that the leak was still not repaired. But he never showed any sense of urgency about scheduling to come back out. There was always an excuse as to why we would have to schedule for "next week" or sometime in the future instead of just making it a priority to come back out and get the job done. Then, the last time we spoke, he proposed opening up the ceiling in my bathroom to find the leak, but ghosted me after making that drastic suggestion and after I requested a partial (not even a full) refund. I then had another company from Bergenfield come out that immediately found the source of the leak and fixed it for several hundreds of dollars less than what Carlos charged me. For me at least (as I can't speak for others' experience), Carlos is a business owner who can't deliver results, and who ghosts you and keeps your money when you call him on it, even after you inform him that you will sue him (which, I will) if he doesn't provide a refund. Not my kind of guy, not my kind of business.
