Where I disagree with the other reviews concerns Carlos' ability to deliver results. Because in my case, he simply did not deliver results. To be clear, I paid Carlos $1,600 to FIND and REPAIR the source of a leak above my upstairs bathroom. He came out, flew his drone around, and told me that he found the issue. After doing some work on the roof, he then told me that he found the issue and fixed it. A couple months later, still had the leak. He subsequently sent a crew member out to find the source of the continued leak. The crew member went up to the roof, did some work, and told me that he found the issue (a different issue than Carlos first found) and fixed it. Still, the leak continued, and only became worse over time (see attached photo). For a while, Carlos talked a good game about coming back out to repair the leak after I sent him photos and videos of the fact that the leak was still not repaired. But he never showed any sense of urgency about scheduling to come back out. There was always an excuse as to why we would have to schedule for "next week" or sometime in the future instead of just making it a priority to come back out and get the job done. Then, the last time we spoke, he proposed opening up the ceiling in my bathroom to find the leak, but ghosted me after making that drastic suggestion and after I requested a partial (not even a full) refund. I then had another company from Bergenfield come out that immediately found the source of the leak and fixed it for several hundreds of dollars less than what Carlos charged me. For me at least (as I can't speak for others' experience), Carlos is a business owner who can't deliver results, and who ghosts you and keeps your money when you call him on it, even after you inform him that you will sue him (which, I will) if he doesn't provide a refund. Not my kind of guy, not my kind of business.

I am not one to usually leave negative reviews, let alone ANY reviews, but my experience with this company left me no choice but to leave one. I have a bulkhead up on my roof and, prior to calling this roofer, I went up myself to inspect it. There was absolutely no visible damage. I reached out to them simply to get a quote for general roof maintenance and to add a layer of silver coating. However, the quote I received back included multiple "areas of repair" and alleged damage that was supposedly extensive and required immediate attention. The issue? This "damage" was non-existent before their visit. James, the person who came to do the inspection, performed both a drone and physical inspection. After his visit, I was shocked to see that several areas he claimed needed repair looked tampered with. I did not have before photos to prove my point, but based on my own prior inspection, I am confident that these so-called problem areas were not there beforehand. It truly feels as though damage was created during the inspection in an attempt to upsell unnecessary work. This is not only unethical but incredibly disappointing. I called for an honest maintenance quote, not to be manipulated into paying for repairs I didn't need. I would strongly caution anyone considering this company to make sure you take detailed photos of your roof before any inspection or quote. My experience has completely eroded my trust in their honesty and professionalism. Save yourself the extra cost and go with someone else.

This…read moremid-Sept. day, Paul Russo and his TruClean crew came to our house and, as per his detailed itemized cost quote, performed their work. This started with cleaning all roof gutters and ensuring that all leaders and downspouts were not clogged by thoroughly flushing them. They then applied their chemical agent via spray method to kill any and all mold, mildew, algae and moss that was present on the cedar shingles. After a short period of time they used a wide spray power washing to rinse and flush all of the dead remains of that organic growth, as well as any tree sap from the roof. They also performed spot cleaning of selected areas of our stucco facades, masonry chimney and flagstone terrace where stubborn dirt had collected on the surface. They completed their work to my complete satisfaction in one day and cleaned up after themselves. All in all, once again, I can and do highly recommend TruCLEAN Wash for this type of roof cleaning, for cedar shingles, as well as slate and/or terra cotta roof tiles that become stained from mildew, mold, moss, sap and other tree droppings, as well as general air pollution.
