The aquarium was nice but I was hoping they'd have the tunnel you walk thorough with fish all around you. Biggest regret were the big animals. A Bull Elephant was solo and neurotic, just bouncing back and forth because he was alone. There were only two other elephants a mom and baby (probably why the bull was separated but still!) a solo orangutan was in poor health and again, alone, which causes neurosis as well. The lone dingo looked like he was on death's door as well. Very emaciated and coughing. Again, totally alone. Zoos should work more toward animal welfare. I know there are groups calling for an end to zoos but if they are done well and animals healthy, they are necessary to give the majority of folks who will never be able to afford a trip to Africa and idea of what the world is losing. They also serve to potentially salvage a species like the przewalski's horse that was successfully rescued through careful breeding programs and now are being introduced back into the wild. Sad we drove all that way to see a zoo in decline! Oh and again, NO CASH ONLY CARDS FOR EVERYTHING so be prepared!
