Michigan Healthcare Academy is beyond disappointing. This is not the school for you if you're…read morelooking to enhance or build your career. The level of training is below everything you would expect. This is not the school for you if you're serious about your health career. I took the Sterile Processing course me nor my classmates got the training we need to gain employment. The instructor would spend hours a day talking about her self instead of teaching us the skills we need to get a job. The instructor would give the answers to all exams. This school is a joke. If you want to get a certificate and don't know what your doing this is the school for you. If you want to get a job & mess up someone's health because you were trained improperly this is the school for you. There are no internships, tours nor speakers. No machines, no learning of instruments, or set ups.. just a bunch of no nothing! This place is very hard on attendance they want you to come every day to be taught nothing. If you're late they want to write you up. ( like they paying you to be there.) If you miss three days you're out. We had three people to drop from the class because they couldn't handle the way we were being taught. At the end of this five week alleged advance SPT course (which by the means you have to be a advance reader but this is the kicker.. how can it be advanced when the instructor is not advanced in reading & will not try to pronounce any medical terminology). This course is not worth the money especially if you're paying for it out of your pocket. You will be better off by your self learning on your own at your pace. Take the course on line if you just have too, or find a better school than Michigan Healthcare Academy. You really can use youtube & quizlet, order your HSPA books from amazon and you will do just fine. All ways be Great on Purpose.

Coming into summer semester I had 14 classes to complete to make that happen. They make tuition sound doable but $90,000 for a BSN from a small school is ridiculous. They only admit one nursing program a year due to lack of hospitals accepting their clinical classes. I wish I weren't in such a rush when I toured here. Though I have left SU, they refuse to release my transcripts to another school until I pay what I owe. So much for higher education.

We booked two classes with Harpers Heroes in early April. We paid Brittany Leaser for the class…read moreand she cashed both checks. We completed the on-line and hands on portion with Brittany. As for July 16th one of the classes is still not closed - meaning we don't have have our certifications. It should be a simple matter of closing the class, but clearly this isn't important to Brittany. This will cost our company another $1200 to have our staff retake the class, never mind the time and effort. This is flat unacceptable and has damaged my company.
