Mike, the Partner and Lead Physical Therapist is absolutely the best I have experienced anywhere!! He is very down to earth, personable, high energy, funny, and professionally the most knowledgeable of any physical therapist I have encountered. Considering that I have a history of vertebral compression fractures, I have a lot of PT experience for comparison. Mike and his entire team at PT Link in Lambertville are the absolute best. Jodie, the Office Manager, is beyond fabulous. This team makes everyone feel like family. I wouldn't consider going anywhere else and highly recommend this location!!

I was in need of a kidney transplant. I had been on a couple of lists for a few years (almost 4…read moreyears on one and almost a year on another) with very little action. Then I heard about UTMC. I contacted them to start the process. My orientation was in July '23 and my evaluation was scheduled for September '23. I asked to be placed on the cancellation list in case someone couldn't make their evaluation. That turned out to be a good move!! I got the call for the evaluation to be a month sooner in August '23. The evaluation went well and they were very thorough! I was impressed because they checked things the other 2 medical universities had not checked. I knew I was in good care. The evaluation and review process took a couple of weeks. I was placed on their list on Monday, August 28, 2023. Now the long wait begins. Yet, it was not a long wait at all! I got "The Call" Friday of that week, only 5 days later, that they had a kidney for me!! (Their average wait time at this time was around 4 months) That kidney was unusable due to improper harvesting, but the doctor told me to not go far because there are other kidneys "floating around" and my name is coming up. We got a hotel room since it was late and we had a 2 1/2 hour drive home. I got a call at 3am the next day (Saturday, September 2, 2023) that they have a kidney for me. I was told to be there at noon; we arrived at 11:30am. I received a transplant late that afternoon and started recovery that evening. The nurse care was excellent during my 3 or 4 day stay!! They were very caring, friendly, and well experienced! I have absolutely all good words for the care I received in recovery. Then came the aftercare. The aftercare was also excellent. I felt very comfortable and confident that I was in good hands. Dr Yaddav and Nurse Tara were wonderful as my post-transplant care team! I had weekly blood tests and visits. My meds were adjusted accordingly. I am now a few days away from 6 months post transplant and all is well. The new kidney is happy doing his job cleaning my blood, removing the waste by producing lots of urine, making sure my electrolytes and minerals are balanced. It's a life changer being off dialysis!! I have recommended UTMC to several people and would be happy to discuss my experience with anyone in need.

My boyfriend was throwing up for several days and became very dehydrated and couldn't stop…read morevomiting. The ER was very fast and checked on him frequently. They kept him longer until he stopped vomiting and could hold food and water down. Once he was moved to the 5th floor he was rarely checked on even though many rooms were empty. He waited to take a shower for over 40 minutes because no one wanted to unhook his IV and wrap his hand. His nurse, Star, came by with food (that wasn't his) and was laughing as he looked sick and ill and said he was next and acted like him looking Ill was funny. When she came in to help him she was still laughing and taking her time even though he was about to vomit if he didn't shower. Its nice she seems to enjoy her job, but laughing and goofing around Infront of a patient who is barely strong enough to stand is not polite and upset him very much. In the past we have had good experiences here, but this week has been much different and its hard to focus on getting better when you feel like your own nurses are laughing at you.

I could list all the reasons but there isn't enough space here. The nursing staff honestly does not care about the patients and wants to do the bare minimum or less. Due to the last minute need of finding a rehab for my mother, this was the only place available. My family is frantically trying to find a new rehab but the good places have a waiting list. I'm just trying to keep my mom alive long enough so we can get her transferred-that's how bad it is. It's a shame this place has such bad nursing care because everyone in rehab seems to be great. However if my mom's basic daily needs aren't being met, then rehab isn't going to be effective. I wish I could leave a negative amount of stars.

I've worked in Michigan and Ohio as an aide in quite a few different facilities. The staff is really friendly and always willing to help. When we were short staffed the DON came in to help. This place is about as transphobic as they come! I went in at 10:00a 6/14, had to go to the court…read morehouse and get a copy of my Court Order allowing my name change and gender marker change. Because the old ID with my dead name that matched my SS card wasn't good enough, even tho it was not expired. So I did, I went to the court and got a copy of the court order. Then I went in today at 10:30 7/17, went through the entire process 3hrs and was told I now needed to take this form to my PCP to be approved for donation. Based on, "This individual is referred for a for a medical evaluation due to reporting a history of medication (which all of mine are approved) and/or condition that caused medical referral." So what I've learned from Freedom plasma aka Immunotek is: Being trans is a medical condition, That they know better than three other donation companies. And instead of operating off of body mass (Recommendations per FDA) they know more and must only operate off of gender.
