I was dealing with blood blisters, a poor latch, doubts and fears about supply, and a baby that was temporarily not gaining enough weight. As a first-time mom, it was extremely stressful, and there were many tears. However, Juliana's visits always left me feeling more informed, reassured, and capable. We also did a weighted feed during every visit, which confirmed that my baby was indeed getting enough to eat. I still remember the relief I felt when I learned that. Juliana is a big reason why I decided to stay the course with breastfeeding. (Thank goodness, because now I LOVE it.) My insurance covered the cost of the visits, so I just paid the $60 travel fee. I also attended her breastfeeding class with my husband before giving birth. This was super helpful, but I recommend taking the class within 1 month of your due date. We took it a bit too early in my pregnancy, and forgot a couple things by the time I gave birth. Overall, I would highly recommend booking a lactation consultation with Juliana if you're in need of support!

I was overwhelmed and anxious after he had lost weight early on and knew something was off. With Heather's help, we discovered he had a posterior submucosal tongue tie that had previously been missed. She guided us through the entire process, from identifying the issue to recovery exercises after his procedure. Thanks to her support, we are now breastfeeding successfully and my son is thriving. I am eternally grateful to Heather for her knowledge, compassion, and guidance, and I truly cannot recommend her enough.

She came to our home and took the time to thoroughly evaluate both my daughter and my breastfeeding, which made the entire experience feel personalized and supportive. She was able to identify the underlying issues and guide us toward the care we needed. What I appreciated most was her approach; she was incredibly understanding, never pushy, and offered thoughtful, practical recommendations that felt right for our situation. I was able to reach out to Heather for questions and support after our visit for clarification. I would highly recommend Heather to anyone looking for compassionate, knowledgeable support during their breast-feeding journey

I was nervous at first to hire a night nanny because it can be uncomfortable having a stranger in your house tending to your babies at night while you sleep, but we felt COMPLETELY comfortable with Marjorie in our house. She was always calm, happy and trustworthy. It was wonderful knowing Marjorie was there to take care of the babies so we could sleep peacefully and wake up fully rested. Honestly, I would recommend her to anyone. She always showed up on time (never late once), she knew what needed to be done around the house without needing to be asked (such as washing bottles & baby laundry), and most importantly, she took excellent care of our babies. Our #1 priority for whomever we hired was that they needed to be gentle and kind with our babies - Marjorie exceeded our expectations. She clearly has a lot of experience, and we could tell during her interview that she was going to be a great nanny for the boys. I'm happy to be a reference for anyone interested in hiring her. We'll DEFINITELY call her for our next round of babies :)

Alix was my main midwife, so cheerful, supportive and looking for the best answer, with best answer no only to my questions but to my health, soul and mind. As a second time mom and healthcare practioner, i thought I had pretty good education on natural birth. Tema not only furthered my knowledge, but also made me and my husband feel beyond supported every step on the way. My whole body wellness was cared for, and having my emotional and spiritual health nourished along with my physical health during pregnancy was beyond what I expected. Tema takes the time to get to know you, your baby, and your partner, so by the time It is birth day, she feels like family. I completely trusted her at a moment that was so vulnerable to me. We hit a snag during labor, but Tema handled it so professionally and confidently and we were able to safely deliver my healthy baby boy at home. It was a beautiful experience. I am convinced that Tema's knowledge of spinning babies facilitated my labor to progress and if I had been in a traditional birth setting, it would have went differently. If you are looking for a caring and trustworthy midwife for your home birth, please choose Tema. Her passion for her calling is evident in every interaction and she is a blessing to the home birth community.

We have worked with Anna for almost 8 months, and have also started working with Lara the past few months for even more support! From the moment Anna arrived the week after baby A was born, I was tucked into bed with an amazing chicken tortilla soup and got the opportunity to rest, knowing my baby was being cared for by a total baby expert. She has been a constant source of calm and rational perspective through any ups and downs, a shoulder to cry on, and a support to the whole family: both me and my husband, but also our 3 year old son is completely in love with her. Both Anna and Lara are incredibly knowledgeable on all the tablestakes parts of infant care, whether it was helping with feeding, soothing techniques, newborn sleep (including bringing lots of different swaddles and teething devices to try), and general reassurance. They are both moms and have cared for Baby A with tenderness and respect that we've felt completely comfortable resting/recovering, focusing on our preschooler, and sneaking out to the gym or on much needed daytime dates to reconnect as a couple during a phase where parents often fall into the "roommate phase" for awhile. But where they go above and beyond is the emotional support and postpartum expertise they bring. After having their own kids and years of specific doula trainings, plus caring for dozens of diverse families, they know a lot about postpartum issues and can make a plethora of referrals or recommendations. Anna's recommendations for stuff to discuss with a urologist around some of my postpartum pain has lead to life changing outcomes in my day to day. She also recommended the bottle type that ended up being the only one our daughter will take. I often have the most productive day of the week when Anna or Lara are here, because they help with baby but also folding laundry, are amazing cooks, help with general organization/ideas for kid stuff like games to play, books to read, swim lessons to sign up for, anything taking up mental space. I can always bounce logistical or emotional kid stuff off them - they've seen it all. Many people end a postpartum doula contract when baby is 6 or 12 weeks, but we kept working with Anna and Lara because their support is important through a LOT of phases in the first year, like 4 month sleep regression, going back to work, and work travel. They have provided *critical* support on nights of solo parenting. We're so grateful for their presence, their expertise, and their heartfelt dedication. If you're considering postpartum support, we can't recommend Anna and Lara highly enough -- they are exceptional!

She is both deeply knowledgeable and genuinely nurturing, and her presence transformed my postpartum experience. Because of her, I was able to move through a deeply nourishing healing phase, feel like myself again, and be fully present with all three of my children. I am so appreciative for her.
