We were so excited to get new windows as we were referred by some friends to use American Remodeling. The first time we talked to our salesman we had great customer service! There was some miscommunication regarding the windows and we wanted the full jam and case and that wasn't originally quoted. Not a big deal as the salesman made it right. Then we had the windows installed and our big picture window was measured incorrectly so we had to wait another 7 weeks until that could get installed. The original installers that caulked the windows made a mess and was very uneven and had black caulk all over our siding. The installers came back the 7 weeks later to install the picture window and also clean up the caulk and paint around it to make it look more presentable and cleaner lines. Now we have paint all over the window frames and I talked to the salesman and he wanted to see pictures knowing I still wasn't satisfied. The salesman now has said we're not a painting company and it looks fine. I'm very disappointed how this has been handled now, especially the amount of money we are spending. I was hoping to refer friends and family to this company. But that is not the case now. read more

Called for a quote. An EXTREMELY pushy rep/manager came out who didn't even bother to identify his company when he came in or be personable in any sort of way. The only thing we knew about him was he was Florida and about to head home. He didn't even give us his name until he left. He was so pushy in fact- we hadn't even started talking products or pricing before he starts in on signing today because of his warehouse schedule. Not a single other option on date was given. He didn't bring window products to show, only his verbal descriptions, didn't measure or even walk around our house (huge red flag), he asked how many windows we had, refused to leave a written quote- multiple times, gave us a verbal "ball park estimate" that he said had to be signed and done that night before he left back to Florida to get the magical "40% discount". I told him I would not move forward without a written quote and got nothing or even an attempt at a written quote. When I refused, he countered back with "no one turns down our discounts unless they aren't serious or can't afford them." (paraphrased). So if potential clients won't cave in for a quick deadline, unrealistic discounts- then he tries insults or manipulation to secure the sale?? This is not our first house to have the windows replaced in and are familiar with the process from sales quote to installation, except using financing. Nothing on this sales call was typical! He said American Remodeling Inc has not a single bad review unlike the hundreds by the National chain we used previously. I've found their bad reviews all over - just Google for them! After viewing this company's snotty/snarky BBB replies to clients with serious construction/installation issues, I'm not expecting any different. Pushy and rude! Avoid this company. Measured windows wrong they were way undersized, enough that installers asked who measured them!! like they had problems with one individual! All though they did a great job of making them look great inside and out, after going to local HD to get additional Trim. One windows screen was damaged to the point they just smashed and took with them and another one had a small tear. Installers said they would get new ones coming! That was Oct of 2022! as of July 2023 im still waiting. i have contacted the office like 3 times now, still waiting!! Bet if i didn't pay them problem would have been resolved by now!!!! Unless its 100% satisfactory I would not give them Payment!!!!! Maybe it just because i am so far away they don't care!!! (Wyoming) Maybe I will see screens by next Summer !!!!! read more

We were shopping for a while to find a company for Windows, doors and siding. We settled on American Remodeling due to a bit of impatience on my part and an incredibly persistent 'Curtis' from this company. Curtis guaranteed 100% satisfaction before we paid and said all the right things. He showed beautiful pictures of what our finishes would look like, guaranteed, and I was ready to move forward. First, the communication was terrible. We called multiple times in the 8 weeks after coming to an agreement to get a schedule, and our calls were never returned. An installer finally called the day before he was showing up. When the product started going in it was clear they were trying a bait and switch on multiple materials. I had to fight to get something even remotely close to what I was promised. In the end I am still fighting. The 3-4 week install turned into many months. And I have needed to bring in multiple contractors to clean up the work they either did so poorly, or the work that they were not capable of doing as Curtis had promised. Mediocre product supported by a sleazy company. I am the idiot for believing a slimy salesman. I just hope you don't make the same mistakes I did. My house is on Green Mountain by Colorado Mills. They apparently like to show it off. Come knock on my door if they try that and I will tell you all about it. read more

We are extremely happy with the new windows that we bought from American Remodeling! We were approached by one of their sales people. After shopping around, we determined that this offer was a decent one and decided to go for it. And I'm so glad we did. The windows certainly are not cheap, even with the discount they offered us, but they're top-of-the-line and come with a lifetime guarantee that even passes to the new owners if you sell your house. We had them replace all seven of our basement windows, and what a difference it has made! The windows, having two panes of glass with argon gas between them, have tremendously reduced the amount of street noise and helped to keep the temperature more stable. The installation was great: they did all seven windows in one day, cleaned up perfectly, and took the old windows away with them. When I got home that evening, it was hard to tell they'd been here at all. When it's time to replace more of the windows in our house, we will definitely come back to American Remodeling! read more

I'm compiling my entire review into one as it's not easy to see all the updates in one review. 8/22 Writing this review at the request of Joey, the salesman that sold me 12k worth of windows. Joey scheduled a time with my wife to discuss details on replacing all the windows in my home here in southern Colorado. When he arrived (45 minutes later than scheduled), he had a great attitude. He took some preliminary measurements and gave me a number. He was unable/unwilling to provide me with a 'per window' cost estimate. He seemed disappointed that I wanted to sleep on it before making such a large financial decision. I did a little extra research on my own after our discussion and emailed him to get some clarification on the windows and costs. He then called me to ask if he could answer the questions. I asked that he respond to the email so I had something documented to ensure there wasn't going to be any misunderstandings in the future. We came to an understanding and I placed an order for half of the windows in my house, with an understanding that I would replace the rest of them next spring. He said that an install tech would be in contact by the weekend (this took place on a sunday, I believe) to set up a time to come and take official measurements for the order. The week went by without any contact. Sunday afternoon, I sent him as text asking if he heard anything about doing proper measurements. He replied saying that I would receive a call within the hour. 3 hours later I contacted him again saying that I still haven't heard anything. I then got a call from the person supposed to do the measurements saying that he thought that he had already gotten all the customers in my area and asked me if tuesday would work. I contacted joey again expressing my concerns hoping that this isn't indicative to the way that the installation would go. He asked if my wife had put in the review like they discussed. I told him that I didn't want to provide a review based on a conversation with a salesman. But here it is. I will provide an update as the situation progresses. 10/4 I am following up on a previous review. The install tech came out to take measurements and was very professional and showed up on time. I asked about ballpark installation timeframe once his guys are on site and he guessed about 1-2 hours per window. He said that mid October would be the installation timeframe. I emailed the salesman (joey g) on Sunday, asking if he knew anything about a firm install date since it's October. He responded relatively quickly saying that he didn't know and that he would have to check the system when he got back to the office on Monday. Here it is at the end of the business day on Monday, and I haven't received any response. All in all, communication has been poor with this company. I've already spent 12k and have plans to spend another 8k on the remaining windows in my home. At this rate, they are out the additional work....... 11/15 Installers came out and did a great job installing the windows. They were professional yet personable. Lead installer, Dan, explained what he did and why. He answered many questions I had. Took a total of about 12 hours to do all the windows. One pane has a crack in it, which Dan said that the salesman would be contacting me to arrange a replacement. (I never head from Joey trying to make the arrangements, I had to contact the company myself) Unfortunately, they did not ship the screens to go with the windows.....Work was completed on a Friday. I contacted my salesman that day asking for him to give me an ETA. He said that he would be getting back to me on Monday. It's been 10 days and I sent him a message today asking for an update. He says that he will get back to me tomorrow. I've recently sold an investment property (for a hefty profit) and am planning on using the extra income to update the home I'm in now. I have no intention of using this company for the additional windows and doors that I had originally planned. Terrible communication. It seems like the salesman is more interested in positive reviews and word of mouth than he is about getting quality product installed in a well communicated timeframe. 2/26/2022 Well, they finally finished the process last night 2/25. Overall it's been a very frustrating process and I don't recommend using this company as the communication has been terrible. The cuts on the front of our house were quite tricky, but they spared no time and quality in their work. All the siding lines up across the whole house. It looks amazing! had Joey G. and his team do two projects for me. Siding and an egress window for a basement. Siding went very well. Super happy with results and timing. Plus, Joey had his guys do a bit of extra work for free to make the project perfect. The window was a bit different. It turned out to be a pain of a project and some of the subs that worked on it did some less than ideal work. But, Joey was always responsive and made things right in the end. COVID made it take a bit longer but the crew was respectful. Overall, happy with everything, including the price. (Just as important, this company will call you back and actually show up to do the work. So, that is leaps and bounds better than their 4 other competitors I called.). (Hell, All Around Roofing and Exteriors took a piece of my siding to match and then never returned my calls. Essentially stole it.). American Remodeling won't do that. read more

About a year ago we bought a house but the windows were original, foggy looking and hard to open. A salesman from American Remodeling came to our door right after we moved in and I thought well atleast we will have an estimate what could it hurt. We decided to use them for the entire house. It was done in a single day. The installers were friendly and did a great job. They even cleaned the windows after the install and cleaned the job areas up. We brag about our windows to everyone. When I first moved in with the old windows I was having to have heavy drapes closed with the sun on the windows and with our new ones the drapes stay open! Let me start with the one thing that I most want to share with potential customers of American Remodeling: GET OTHER QUOTES _BEFORE_ MEETING WITH THE AMERICAN REMODELING SALESPERSON. The salesperson told me that he often offers special pricing but it must be accepted that day, and he says they don't honor these special quotes after that day. I realize this is a ploy frequently used by shady salespeople to discourage price comparison, but for various reasons (mostly just being horribly impatient and the glowing reviews of the company I had read), I agreed to it. I have a number of other complaints and regrets, which I go into in depth below (feel free to skip), but the windows are very nice and the installation appears to have been very competent. Here are my other complaints, which I discussed with two people from American Remodeling on the phone. I include their plausible explanations, but all in all I was left unsatisfied. 1. I was charged close to $6000 for 7 windows, but in 2 quotes I had done after the fact, both companies could have given me very good (but perhaps not as great) vinyl windows for $4000. The people at American Remodeling said their windows were more efficient and they have a better warrantee, but even with those things in mind I would have gone with one of the other companies had I known their price. 2. The quote was a single amount for all 7 Windows, not broken down by window, as I've seen every other replacement windows quote I've seen. This makes it much harder to understand the pricing and negotiate with the salesperson. I forgot to mention this specific issue with them on the phone. 3. I was supposedly being offered a fantastic special offer, and in return I would be asked to put a sign of theirs in my front yard for a month. I wasn't offered a sign, and no mention was made of it till I brought it up, which made me think the whole "special offer" was a fiction, but they said they had simply run out of signs. 4. John, the salesperson, introduced himself as "the General Manager", when in fact he is the General Manager of Marketing in this region, or something to that affect. I think this is clearly deceptive, but their explanation was that he is _a_ General Manger, so he's free to use that title. 5. Their windows were clearly advertised as EnergyStar certified, but technically the windows I received are not. This was clearly shown in a map on the NFRC sticker, but these stickers were removed from all of the windows, supposedly because they wanted to wash the windows for me. The removed stickers were supposed to be given to me but were not. They said that the installer must have forgotten to give them to me. I got scans of the stickers from the windows manufacturer. The windows' energy efficiency number were actually quite excellent. Maybe they removed the stickers to avoid confusion? Still, I'd rather they had explained this to me, which they did when I asked, instead of maybe trying to hide this from me. MAYBE everything they did and said was above board, maybe not, I just don't know--it's just that there were so many things, at least seen in hindsight, that were off. read more

We shopped around A LOT and a lot of places wouldn't just replace 1 window (which was all we needed since we just purchased our home and all but 1 window was upgraded...) These windows are very high quality and have a great warranty! American Remodeling replaced 13 windows in our home! These windows varied in size and sliding capabilities, plus a new patio door. We first went through an estimate process (pain-free, easy to understand, get all of our questions out of the way), then had a couple of guys in the field crew come and verify the dimensions needed for each window/door. It took 6 weeks for them to custom-build each window. On installation day, they carefully removed each of the old windows, put in the new ones, caulked and sealed around all the borders, and took the old windows. They were fast! About 5 hours and everything was clean! Then we were given the warranty information and instructions of their use and walked through the house to inspect each installation to make sure we were satisfied. After the workers left, I realized how much quieter my house is now! Probably a 70% reduction in the street noise, and 80% in the retaining of heat/cool. And they are GORGEOUS! Totally recommend going with the "desert tan" frames! Our home value just increased $20k! read more

Here's an update on our siding project started May 12, 2017. It is now Dec. 7, 2017 and we are still waiting for the final completion of the project. We have been put through every run around and delay possible. I know we aren't the only ones either. They have left a swath of unhappy customers and total redos all around Wyoming in multiple towns. I know because my project gets delayed because they had to go to Casper, Gilette or Riverton. And the work is a total redo of jobs even worse than mine from what I've been told. The office doesn't communicate well with the sub-contractors and you won't hear from either unless you hound them. Then you get apologies, more promises and more delays and another sub contractor to work with. The siding work is questionable and we were told the insulation factor with the styrofoam would be noticeable. We have since been told by a sub-contractor that there is little to no insulative factor and they shouldn't be promising that. We had one window replaced due to a broken window during the project and when it arrived it was damaged because it wasn't handled properly in the truck. So that had to be replaced and that took several months. I notice all the good reviews are from the Denver area. This is interesting to me. They must treat the locals different than the out of state. This has been a very frustrating project and this company needs to be held accountable. We are waiting for the caulk to be redone because it is already cracking and not sealed because of poor workmanship. Now that it is cold who knows when that will be completed. read more

I am thrilled with the high quality products, installation, and customer service provided by American Remodeling. They recently completed the installation of siding and shutters on my home on time, in budget, and with a 30 year warranty. The price was more than fair when compared to the many other quotes we received and they offered upgrades that other companies didn't even mention. We opted to include the additional insulation, which provides superior protection against hail damage and saved us from having to blow additional insulation in the walls. We have already felt an improvement in the comfort of our home and seen a reduction in our energy bills. I sincerely enjoyed working with Brad, Joey, and Dwayne. They are great communicators who were very responsive to our questions and accommodating of our needs.
