They drilled holes in my RV
    Andrew M.

These people are full of lies & empty promises! I purchased a 2018 Grand Design Reflection in March of 2020. They knew I traveled for work and had to pick it up on a certain date. I dropped off my old RV a month prior to the pick up date of the new one. We went over all that had to be fixed , replaced . They had a month to do it! When I got their nothing had been done! Did not even clean it. The fire place that was missing had been replaced with one they took out of an EV that was on the lot. It did not even fit or work. The floor had a spot that the tile was damaged, they were trying to repair the day I picked it up. As soon as they slid the slide in the flooring was jacked up again. I had some other issues that they promised would be repaired but didn't happen! In September I noticed the bathroom exhaust fan was leaking water. I climbed up on the roof and almost fell through it. I paid 40k for this RV! I called they said bring it in. I could not take it anywhere else or they would not cover any of the cost! I had to drive from Selma NC back to Cleburne Texas 1650 miles. Dropped it off told them I would be back in 30 days. They said they would call me on Monday to tell me what all they found with the list I gave. They sat on it for 2 weeks and did nothing! I called 8 times on the 9th I finally got to speak to someone and they still had not started. They do not cover any of the material cost... they do not repair what they say they will! I would not recommend them to an enemy! I also contacted the BBB. If you can do anything else I would before I went back to these dishonest people! When I picked up the RV they not only installed the wrong size fireplace so now the cabinets will not open they also ran screws through my ceiling on the roof warranty work.

Theyre a family owned business but they have no problem putting other families on the street with their deceitful ways. According to the salesman we were approved for a 36 month loan so we put down $1k non refundable holding deposit then they take the RV for a full inspection which takes 10 to 14 days and afterward you pick it up with your additional down-payment and sign loan documents. We go to pick it up and the monthly payment is the amount the sales person said but the loan was for 77 months we put all our eggs in one basket and Feeling like we at this point have no other choice we sign the loan documents.. that was 3 days ago and have been using it the last 2 days well we go to take our FIRST RV shower and the entire gray water tank falls off the RV we can't even move the thing cuz wires and pipes are hanging and exposed! They also didn't dump the trailer prior to us picking it up because the black tank is already full. We can't move the trailer to dump the tank and RV depot act like they were going to help but is giving us the run around and not calling us back. Finally their conniving operations manager calls and admits it was their mistake while mocking my husband. They sold us a lemon and they have ZERO care that we have children pets in a waterless RV in the middle of summer and even suggested us to drive with all those hanging parts putting ourselves in danger for their screw up, 2 hours. Ive sense found multiple people that have had similar experiences with these crooks!!!

We had to constantly reach out for updates, and even then, getting any real information was like pulling teeth. We were told that there was a buyer at one point and they were waiting on funding that would take a couple of days. After a week, I called to get a status from the sales manager. He informed me that the buyer couldn't secure the funds, so the deal fell through. He then stated that he forgot to call me to let me know. It felt like they had no interest in keeping us informed except to encourage us to lower the asking price. On top of that, they tried to charge us for unnecessary repairs, claiming work needed to be done that was unnecessary. It felt like a clear attempt to pad their profits at our expense. For example, after initial delivery to their lot, they tried to charge nearly $250 to "install" a sliding screen door that took me literally 30 seconds or less to do on my own and fix a closet door that was supposedly not opening. When we went to the lot to see for ourselves, the closet door was mysteriously working. When the RV did finally sell, they did another inspection prior to the buyer taking possession. This revealed another $450 in needed repairs (estimated before cost of parts). Seeing this, I again went to see the need for these repairs for myself. Low and behold, 2 of the 3 identified repairs were proven to be false. The third I could not verify one way or the other and ended up having to pay $400 in parts and labor. However, I'm not sure if they actually even did anything. In the end, the RV did sell after several months, but the lack of transparency and poor customer service made the entire process far more stressful than it needed to be. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone looking for an honest and professional experience. Look elsewhere if you want a dealership that actually communicates and respects its customers.

The online sales person hooked us up with Sheldon for a Saturday walkthrough of a couple units. He was prompt, friendly and knowledgeable so we committed to have them do their inspections. The next weekend we returned and inked the deal, part of which was the installation of a washer/dryer stack. We were a long way from home so they got right on it and by the next afternoon, we were ready to roll. Now here's where it gets kind of amazing .. We went back into the bedroom where there had been 3 types of cabinetry in the corner, louver doos, a drawer and sold doors. I just saw the W/D stack and thought "that's cool, looks great" but the installer sez "wait .." and proceeds to close a single door that had all the fronts of the original cabineets mounted on it. You could not tell that the original cabinetry had been changed!!! We are bowled over, I mean WOW, what an extra effort and on a rush timeline. We were around the dealership parts of two days and everybody went out of their way to be friendly, water, coffee, etc. At the end they had come in under budget by $500 and actually told me about it .. who does that!?! The $$ had been part of the loan so we went through their accessories dept and I loaded up on some much needed stuff. I think I'm a decent judge of character and I saw a lot of that here.

Fast forward 10 months and about 200 miles later, my RV was parked at a gliderport in Midlothian, when a thunderstorm with 25 knot wind gusts blew 2/3rd of the roof completely off. On contacting MHSRV, their Service Manager told me that they only warranty their work for 90 days! Needless to say, I did not take the motorhome back to them so that they could charge me another $19,100 to do another sub-par job. The shop I did end up taking it to, Quality RV Solutions, also in Alvarado, upon disassembly of the damaged roof, discovered that MHSRV had simply put the roof they installed over the top of the old roof, without any bonding between the two roofs, nor between the 'Luan' (thin plywood sublayer) and the fiberglass cap. Winnebago specifies the use of 'Red Glue' (Dorus S 563 Adhesive) to bond the fiberglass to the Luan. What MHSRV apparently did instead was pour ordinary rubber contact cement on top the Luan and put the fiberglass down on top of it; instead of applying it onto both sides, allowing it to dry, then pressing them together - as contact cement directions call for. All that was holding the 'new' roof on was screws and a bead of RTV around the periphery; this is why it blew off in a mere 25 knot breeze. I'm glad this didn't happen out on the highway at 75 mph with cars following me. Motor Home Specialists talked a good game, took their sweet time and charged handsomely for their work; sadly it was incompetently done and when it failed they would not stand behind it. I recommend staying well clear of Motor Home Specialists; I will be taking them to court.

The day we stopped by this location was short handed because of a RV show in Dallas. Went out of their way to find someone to help us and made sure we had an employee with us to show what we had come in for. It was a great team effort for those that were there. First to help was Amanda the Service Mgr which was nice because could answer more technical and maintenance type questions. When she had to take care of something in maint., Franny who is in sales showed up to show us rest of what we came to look at. At one point a service tech was called out to answer a question. Settled on a used 5th wheel which was in good shape but had a few things we wanted fixed and they even noticed a few items. Made a detailed list of items and had a call after we left for any clarifications, anything we thought of later or may have left off the list. Had grandkids with us on one visit back to look at camper again and start the deal in progress. Sheila did an awesome job of helping keep the gkids occupied by coloring with them so wife and I could devote time to taking care of business. Spoke with a tech and several others in service and parts about a hitch. Went through several and with their information was able to make the best decision for us. Ramon in finance was very nice and enjoyed talking with him while finishing paperwork. Franny was with us through the delivery process and went through everything on the list to make sure was done to our liking. Got a good walk through with a tech who was able to explain things about the camper and answer questions. Tech who installed the hitch came out went through the process of hooking up the camper and explained well how to unhook. All during this time Franny had cleaner and a towel and was touching up a few things and made the camper sparkle like a new one. To me, this Holiday World location has a great team that works together and keeps the customer in mind. This is our fourth camper and wished we had come here for the 3 previous ones because Holiday World was that much better of an experience. When time to get another one hope that Franny is still there as well as the rest of the team. Don't typically give 5 stars unless absolutely deserve it and for my experience with Holiday World they earned and deserve it.

From the beginning, there were serious concerns around transparency. I was upsold on parts that were already installed on the unit--this was later confirmed, and I had to go through the process of getting one of those items refunded. I was also pushed to purchase a solar setup that was already installed on the RV. These are not small oversights--they are major red flags. The most serious issues, however, have been with financing and payments. I was explicitly told that McClain's would be covering initial payments due to delays on their end. Not only did they fail to properly execute those payments, but I later learned from my lender that attempted payments were declined, resulting in my account being placed in a past due status. To prevent further damage, I made the payment myself--only to then be contacted by McClain's attempting to collect from me directly for that same payment. I was also asked to reimburse them for payments they claimed to have made, which, according to my lender, were never successfully processed. On top of that, McClain's failed to properly finalize our financing application, which resulted in additional, unnecessary credit pulls. Our credit was hit again, and our score dropped another 30 points due to an issue entirely on their end. What's most disappointing is that I have now asked--multiple times--for clarification and resolution on why I was being asked to make payments for amounts that were never actually paid, and I have provided proof to support this. I have yet to receive a response. At this point, the lack of accountability is just as concerning as the mistakes themselves. This situation should have been handled immediately and professionally. Instead, I was given no clear communication, no statement, no explanation--just a demand for payment with no runway and no acknowledgment of their errors. They allowed the account to fall past due due to their failure to finalize and process things correctly, and rather than going above and beyond to make it right, they have left me to deal with the consequences. To add to this, my husband is a disabled veteran, and this situation has created completely unnecessary stress and strain that no family should have to deal with--especially over issues that were entirely preventable. This entire experience has been disorganized, stressful, and completely unacceptable. It has required hours of my time to correct mistakes that should never have happened, and it has put my credit at risk due to their lack of accountability and follow-through. At no point should a customer be put in a position where they are cleaning up financial errors made by the dealership. I would never recommend McClain's to anyone. Proceed with extreme caution. If this is how they handle financing and customer accountability, I would strongly advise anyone to think twice before trusting them with a purchase of this size.
