If you're a kid, this place is a science project wonderland! Even as an adult there are quirky, practical, and creative things to try out! I wound up buying some duct tape with cupcake designs on it, since I needed duct tape--might as well be cute!

Stopped in here for some last minute Halloween shopping and was blown away with the sheer variety of products! It's like a mad scientist's toy store, they have educational kits, decorations, gag gifts, retro tech, toys, tools, you name it. Take any kid here and I'm 100% sure they'll want to become a scientist afterwards

If you are from Maine, the reference point for this place will be a Mardens, or Big Al's up in Wissaset. The size is closer to a Big Al's - and the bins are buckwild. This store feels focused and random at the same time. Its a discount store with lots of random bins of plastic babies or Army surplus survival things. But where this place shines is the Science part of their name. There are so many cool science supplies for teachers, kids, or the person who just wants to dabble in science for a hobby. My sister brought me here - she works in theatre and this was a place they would get a lot of props and supplies. If you need Halloween inspiration -- head here. I wish I had one of these closer to me, but it makes me pretty thrilled to have one visited one at all.

"We're closing in 10 minutes." I loved this place. It's got all kinds of science gadgets and geekery. Cool toys, too! "Hi, guys. We're closing in 5 minutes." Man, you could browse for hours here, except their hours totally suck. Really? You close at 6? That's hardly enough time for anyone to make it out to this store before closing time. "We're closing. Can I help you find something?" I went here to pick up supplies for our Breaking Bad finale party and I was not disappointed. Beakers and vials and flasks galore. All kinds of science-y stuff. Magnets! "Okay, guys. We're closing." I would have spent much more money here if I had TEN GODDAMNED MINUTES TO BROWSE A LITTLE LONGER. But I understand. Cashier with Purple Hair must get home to tend to his World of Warcraft guild or whatever. *** Note: It's easy to drive past this place since it's not lit very well and it's on a diagonal lot. Just look for the more brightly lit Dollar Tree store next door. It's visible from the street.

It's a little out of the way, and it's a bit of a jumble. Most of these supplies look as though they sat in a warehouse for a long time. You have to be willing to look and search. I'm pretty craft-compulsive, and I bought nothing. Nothing. There were some (longtime?) customers in the store so they must know what they want. I was able to go down aisles, wander down corridors freely and no one bothered me. I suppose if I asked for help I would have gotten it. Sorry but this was not my vibe.

That said, it's a bit disheveled and dim; you're not in a Michael's. But if you are willing to poke around you, are sure to find some treasure! It's a good thing for GPS because the location is slightly hard to find, but gladly the nondescript building does have a big sign on it, the address is posted on a sign near the street, and the aqua blue door are all things to look for. Worth the drive!

We always come in for promos or clearances or with a digital coupon and rarely pay regular prices here as there is never a hurry for us for their various products. And that's whether it's frames, photo albums, artificial flowers, kids' arts and crafts items, or Christmas stuff, etc. Just due to nostalgia, I often like to check what they may have in stock as far as Revell toy models for cars, planes, ships etc. The toy model inventory these days in any crafts store is almost down to nothing as it is an outdated and pretty expensive hobby for what it is anymore but still a reminder of my good 'ol childhood days. It's self checkout here these days and like in a Walgreens or ice cream shop, the customers can come and go here in big clusters. Staffers have always been helpful when needed. Thumbs up!

It is pretty pricey between the four of us it was like $230 which was shocking but we're hoping the final products come out stunning. And the location itself is in high demand so it's pretty tight in there. They could double the space and prolly still fill it up. Special shout out to Sage who came to the rescue to help my daughter when she "ruined" her cat eyes! Sage helped her clean the paint off and redesign the eyes! We will be back in 7 days to get our pieces and I will update my review to show our final projects! Let me also add that this place is for both kids and adults! I was happy when I got there that the bowl I wanted to paint was on display. The employees new how to paint that particular design and gave me instructions one step at a time so I wasn't overwhelmed. This is great for anyone! A date night, family, alone time, friends, etc. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hours at this location was decent. Pricing was a little high especially because you are also expected to tip afterwards. Between pottery, painting fee, tip, it's a lot! Overall, it's a once in awhile thing for me!

The owner, Robin, and one of the other employees were fantastic at leading a group of 21 first grade girls through painting a mermaid tail (there were so many choices for the canvas painting - my daughter happened to choose this one). They can do them more or less complex based on the age group of the party. Robin was truly fantastic to work with. She took care of everything, including ordering pizzas from elsewhere in the mall. I brought the paper goods and cupcakes and everything else was handled. We were in a party room in the back that is utilitarian but also decorated. I definitely appreciated that there were separate tables for the art and the eating! I was perfectly happy to not be out in the front of the store with the general public. And the price was totally reasonable given everything that they did for us. Would definitely host another party here! We've also come on a random day just to do a walk in ceramic painting, which was also great. Lots of selections at all sorts of different price points. You can also do walk in canvas painting.
