First off, this is the first and only time I've been to pain management. I have put it off for a very long time, because I have worked in a recovery ministry for 20 years. And I see what pills can do to people. They destroy lives, and me personally would rather do without them. But I have a bulging/protruding disc, and I am to a point where my pain has to be managed. Talk about an excellent first time experience! The staff and nurses are wonderful- this is a positive work environment. As you are waiting to see Dr. Seama Sial, you can hear the staff being upbeat and you can hear them laughing. If you don't like happy. And just want serious and downtrodden, this is not the office for you. Now let me tell you about Saema. She is fabulous. This woman is professional, happy, caring, will listen to everything you have to say, answer all of your questions, and she never "rushes" you through your appointment. She is upright, and does everything by the book- which is the way IT SHOULD BE DONE. I've read other negative reviews on here, and (based on my experience with those kind of people). They are just looking for a "fix", or trying to manipulate the system. If this is you, don't bother coming here. It's not about pills, it's about getting the best and proper treatment to manage your pain. Saema and her staff does their job thoroughly and professionally. I called American Spine today seeking medical treatment for injuries I sustained in an auto accident. During my conversation with the scheduler, I was told that the practice would not see me because I do not have an attorney representing me. I explained that I am not in litigation, I am capable of handling my own insurance claim, and I simply wanted to receive medical care. I was surprised to learn that, according to the representative, their protocol is not to treat auto accident patients unless they are represented by legal counsel. As a patient, I find that extremely concerning. Access to medical care should not depend on whether someone has hired an attorney. It left me questioning whether medical decisions are being influenced by legal or financial considerations rather than a patient's medical needs. I hope the practice reconsiders this policy because people injured in accidents deserve access to medical evaluation and treatment regardless of whether they choose to retain an attorney. read more

I was sent here through my insurance after an accident. I was treated so horribly after several visits of being told that I would receive treatment and then getting there and being told no the next visit you'll receive treatment. I finally gave up on even getting treatment and accepted the fact that I would be in pain for the rest of my life. They still build me for over $5000 while giving me no treatment no help and wasting my time their practices are disgusting and I would highly recommend that if your insurance or your lawyer is recommending American spine to seek other treatment, you will get nowhere with them. read more

I have never been so disrespected and made to feel like I am less than in my entire life. From the moment Dr. Saema Sial walked in the door, she had a rude and arrogant behavior about her. She wouldn't let me finish a single sentence. I wasn't able to convey more than 5 seconds of my 5 year patient history. She treated me like a homeless drug addict. After interrupting me again and again, I finally asked why she wouldn't let me finish a sentence. She replied, "I wil talk when I want to talk". When I asked her why she was being condescending, she replied, "I don't know what that word means." I jokingly told her we could look it up on the computer and she stood up and told me we're done and said I could leave. I couldn't believe the way I was treated. The most unprofessional, disrespectful, and rude doctor I have ever encountered. She has no business working with people. They are refusing to refund my office visit fee. They provide no medical service and I was seen for a total of two minutes. Scandalous absolutely scandalous. read more

Wow! The lady at the front desk of which I spoke to was just super rude. I called in to tell them that I couldn't make my appt. she spoke to me with such anger in her voice. It's funny as their commercial states that they show compassion to their patient and this chick acted as if I was annoying her. Newsflash! Healthcare is also customer service- you need to learn to control your anger or " case of bad Monday" when you are speaking to patients, especially when the patient is in pain. It's always unacceptable to be rude, talk over/cut off your patients. You'll never win that battle- because your office will lose clients on that note. read more

PLEASE listen to this old woman. DR. SIAL LIES. Bold, obvious self-interested lies like a two-year old! Cute when your children are two but not cute in an MD at work. Dangerous. SCARY ITEM: When confronted with one of his lies (yes, multiple lies in 6 minutes) he said "I never said that". Frighteningly, he appears to believe that ONLY HE TELLS THE TRUTH, his staff are only good after HE has trained them, and all his patients lie. SCARY ITEM: We were trying to tell him about the mistakes that my caregiver and I saw and experienced during a procedure ON MY SPINE! His response? He said to us "I DON'T BELIEVE YOU" delivered in an authoritarian voice. WHY DOES SIAL LIE? I can't justify any of the lies he told us. They appear to have been for his convenience and a definite habit. Perhaps from trying to push lots of patients through? From not reading their medical history because he thinks it irrelevant (possibly he thinks notes from MDs not from Harvard are a waste?). More, it appeared that if reality indicated he should DO something and he didn't want to DO IT, he would deny the whole thing. SCARY ITEM: For some time his front glass doors where pain patients entered stuck together so hard that it could take two people to open them, it hurt my shoulder, and they are GLASS. Obviously unkind to pain patients, those in wheelchairs, or even people trying to help the others enter. The entire staff at the front desk witnessed the struggle to enter and said yet nothing was done. They knew their Sial! Sial might have told them the exercise was good for his pain patients and he had designed it so or told them the doors were fine. We brought these doors up every visit. It took both of us much struggling to enter yet ONLY ONCE DID A STAFF MEMBER HELP US and we never saw staff help anyone else enter. WHAT TO DO? Finally, in front of at least eight people (mostly staff), this old lady said in a loud voice "Your front doors might hurt someone. The glass could break causing serious injury! I have been telling the staff to no effect. Then I tried what might be dear to them: YOU MIGHT BE SUED!" One man dressed in black then said he would look at the problem that day (no, not right away). It was the best we could do. WHAT HAPPENED? Weeks or months later the doors were repaired. The weather stripping still hangs above the door on the right, there often are insects both alive and dead throughout the dirty office. We would try to choose the chairs with the least amount of hair and, since none of the chairs can be wiped down weekly, you are likely sitting on things you would NEVER choose to expose yourself to at any time. Sial expends little of his financial gain toward maintaining a clean office. Quite possibly he views himself as being able to be the manager of his office as well as the MD. It is NOT working. SCARY ITEM: We have all met someone who lies easily and denies reality to your face and we all know this is an indicator of several conditions and none of them compatible with good care or basic communication. Perhaps Sial denies people and problems because, as a Harvard-educated MD, he knows more patients will come to the word Harvard hoping for help and no one will dare to stop him knowing he is protected by the name. Such hubris and arrogance are one thing, but combined with lies and denial they make His Offices Potentially Dangerous Places to Go. If your mother were alive she would ask you to listen to me. Take care of yourself, baby, as he is not for anyone but himself! No complex pain problems are dealt with here. He or one of his staff will literally berate you into choosing one problem as "the worst" to which you will get a simplistic response which may well be incompatible with your other pain problems. If you examine characteristics of good pain doctors, this is a high ranking indicator of a poor pain MD. I saw nurses run (even in an Emergency Room they don't run), medical confidentiality ignored, medical records with errors and omissions, and not one person knew how to correct them! Procedures done at one of his offices were not available to all his offices! Limited medical records?! Oh no! This old lady, after 10 surgeries, and multiple diagnoses of serious and irreparable spine conditions was sickened by her experiences there. You've been warned. read more

No stars! They can't deal with complex issues and want only one dx. They are prejudgemental before seeing medical records. They put down other offices who at least have your records and have treated you. They think they know your problem before they see your records. Marcy is obviously a control freak and this practice cares more about money and power than any patient care. American Horror story joke! Don't go there if you have any other options. Staff was AMAZEBALLS!!!! From the first person that I had contact with at the entrance to all of the nurses, anesthesiologist, Dr.Fisher (whom i didn't know i was seeing until the night before so i did a quick background check with the staff...on the down low..... Lol, they all spoke highly of him) to all of the support staff!!! The office is clean, the procedure/OR room was well organized and sanitary and my hubbs reports clean restrooms. I received, for the first time, Epidural injections for excruciating sciatic pain. I was able to WALK out without pain (first time in 3 months), sit upright for the ride home (a miracle), sit down with my hubbs for dinner (1st time in 3weeks) aaaaaaaaaand i slept without pain!!!! I highly recommend this facility. Dr. Fisher lived up to his peer reviews (I'll be sure to tell Dr Sial). If i could change anything it would be to offer patients with intolerable pain levels a "Pre-Procedure" IV pain medication. You have amazing Rn's that are very well trained, allow them to work their "magic" :) I should add that I was seen in the Rancho Cucamonga office first for the consultation then Corona for the actual procedure. Be prepared to wait anywhere from 30 minutes to over an hour to see the doctor. I've been to see the doctor 5 times and every time they have over booked the appointments. Every time I've been 15 minutes early and waited over 45 minutes each time. Doctors do not respect the lives of their patients. I am excited that there may be some new therapies locally which may change a long time very painful condition I have been plagued with since 2001 called RSD or CRPS II. I woke up in recovery from a Planned & Researched surgery for PLIF in L 4, 5 to Sacrum with a burning pain in my right arm/hand and neck in Rancho Springs medical center in 2001. Being on Pain Medication for years and Trying to recover using every tool & resource I could find I became aware of how some doctors treat me as an addict before getting the full picture first. All I can do is follow my doctors orders and directions so that is how I manage. Dr Casey Fisher treats me with complete respect and now that I have my Ganglion blocks tomorrow I'm hoping so much that I will these doctors will be able to give me some relief of the excruciating burning unrelenting pain. My mom came to visit Dr. Khuram Sail for her neck, shoulder, and arm pain caused by a car collusion accident. Dr. Sail thoroughly examined and patiently explained the treatment and the procedure by using powerpoint and photos to make her feel comfortable to take the injection in her C6-C7 spine. I have been a patient of Dr. Sial's for about 3 years now. I originally came to see him from a local (well reviewed) orthopedic surgeon who apparently misdiagnosed me. Dr Sial immediately knew what the problem was, and started me on the appropriate treatments. I had been to one other pain management clinic in this area before finding Dr. Sial, and it was a strange place. Lots of 18-24 year old kids in there paying cash, walking out 10 minutes later with a prescription. They'd jump back on their skateboards and head home. I didn't even go in for my appointment. I walked out and I'm glad I did. NONE of that garbage at ASPMG. They know who is there just to try to get pills, and they promptly send them back out the door. It's comforting to know that the Doctors, PA's, and all the staff are keeping their eyes out for shady people trying to take advantage. Now onto the surgery center. AMAZING staff. I've had countless operations and these ladies always have their shit together. They're super friendly, they remember everyone, and treat you like a friend when you're prepping. Dr Sial's Nurse in the operating room is honestly one of the nicest nurses I've ever met. Dr. Sial gets right now to business and ALWAYS does things right. There is ZERO anxiety when I go in for an operation. Almost excitement, because I get some great relief with the RFA operations. I've since transferred to the Temecula location because the wait times at Murrieta started getting a little long, but it's understandable. They were seeing a lot of patients in a relatively small office. Overall, I don't think the quality of care could get any better, or the staff. Everyone and everything has exceeded my expectations. read more

I really really do love this team. I personally do not live in the Inland Empire but because of my good experiences with this group I drive 1 hour every time I have an appointment. A couple base points on my view of American Spine: I absolutely LOVE their surgical team off Murrieta Hot Springs! I have to go to their office every time I have needed epidural steroid shots in my spine and I've never felt more comfortable with a team. It was especially important to me because I am very timid with my injury (it's my spine I don't want to be paralyzed obviously) and their team from the woman in prep to my anesthesiologist calmed my nerves and was absolutely great. I wish I could remember their names exactly but I don't go there too often. The nurse who preps my anesthesia needle and gets down my information is wonderful; very kind, talkative, open and her words were very soothing when I told her how nervous I was. Then the nurse who preps me before the shots is AWESOME so fun, spunky, talkative, and funny (also calmed my nerves). The nurses who gave me the anesthesia was AMAZING she was a bit older and literally treated me like I was her granddaughter. She held my hand the entire time I had my first shots and kept me calm with her words. I've also had a different nurse give me anesthesia before and they were also great. Never really spoke to the doctor who was giving me the shots, kinda weird, but I understand their busy and I didn't really feel rushed or in the way. They gave me snacks and juice after my shots and we're just awesome all the way through. The staff at the surgical center really seems to all really like each other the way they talk and interact with each other and their patients it feels like a family and couldn't have been happier! My main Doctor is Siema Sial and she's been great so far. She is rather to the point and sometimes (because I'm so sensitive about my condition) I do wish she'd be a bit more comforting but that's just more of a personal preference. I did also feel once I had a miscommunication with her about my symptoms and I wasn't feeling I was being heard but in my next appointment I felt heard and I think we cleared it up. I suggest always be and direct and honest with your doctor as you can and if you don't feel like you're both on the same page don't leave until you both understand each other. She is very nice and honest with me and I've never had to wait long for her in the office (longest was 30min, shortest was before my designated time when I arrived early) which I very much appreciate! I feel confident with her as my physician and I am happy I came to American Spine for my treatments. Anything I may feel isn't being done the way I hope at American Spine really has nothing to do with the physicians and people that are there, more or less just the steps that are taken to help the spine aren't always ideal or even very lengthy. There isn't always much you can do which is devastating to hear but right now I'm personally feeling much less pain. So far American Spine has been my best experience with medical physicians yet! read more

American Spine PainMedGroup billed me for an undisclosed charge of $275. I had three appointments with American Spine PainMedGroup. After presenting my insurance card I was told at each appointment that an office visit would cost me $70, which I paid up front at each visit. Three months/three visits later I received an unexpected bill for $275. When I called and questioned the bill I was told that I should have known that my insurance had a large deductible! Thanks, I already knew that. American Spine PainMedGroup never told me that the cost of an office visit was not $70 as they stated, but was actually around $166 per visit. I contacted them and requested that they wave the additional charges on the grounds that they had never disclosed to me that an office visit would cost anything other than $70. The asst. office mgr. to whom I spoke advised me that the chief doctor refused my request to wave their (hidden) charges. Perhaps I am old fashioned here, but I am accustomed to having a business disclose to me, up front, how much they fully charge for a service. American Spine PainMedGroup did not disclose their real price of an office visit. Plain and simple. My opinion is that the doctor made an unethical decision in choosing to continue billing me for the undisclosed charges, and further that it's plain down wrong to not disclose to all of their patients the full price of an office visit. However they spin it, they never told me how much an office visit would cost me. And the burden should not be on their patients to have to investigate that, it should be honest and right up front for all of their patients, all of the time. Because it's the right thing to do. In conclusion, you may wish to beware of their method of business practice, or it could cost you. read more

Dr. Sial at American Spine is on public reprimand and probation by the California Medical Board, something they won't tell their patients. After a near fatal accident, I sought treatment at American Spine. I moved out of state for a short time and when I returned I went back to American Spine. They refused my current treatment, the very same treatment they prescribed in 2015. When I returned to American Spine in 2017, they refused my treatment plan. Dr. Sial & his practice are on public reprimand and probation by the California Medical Board, something they won't tell their patients. After a near fatal accident, I received over 25 spinal injections in the last 4 years and did not want to have anymore and pain medication was the only thing that helped. I moved out of state for a short time and when I returned I went back to American Spine. They refused my current treatment, the very same treatment they prescribed in 2015. When I returned to American Spine in 2017, they refused my current treatment plan. They told me to stop taking certain psychiatric medications, without consulting my psychiatrist or any of my doctor's, I had been taking for years. When I stopped I became physically and mentally ill and unstable and have been suffering a nervous breakdown, depression, insomnia, panic attacks and my pain has increased dramatically They lowered my pain medications by more than 50% which they originally prescribed which has caused severe withdrawals and caused me to be bedridden. After 3 visits, they have still have not given me a pain contract which is in violation of California Medical Board. Doctors at American Spine are untrusting, patronizing and even condescending and make me feel like I'm doing something wrong when I have never done anything wrong or illegal. I'm so much worse since going back to Dr. Sial at American Spine. Do not see Dr. Nissan unless you want to argue and given a patronizing lecture. If you have had any of these experiences at American Spine I highly recommend you make a complaint with the CA Medical Board and Consumer Affairs. If you need medication for chronic pain do not go to these doctors. If you don't want to be treated like a drug addict, then avoid this practice all together. Infact, if you feel you have been undertreated by American Spine because they are on medical probation with the Medical Board, then seek legal counsel with a malpractice undertreatment attorney as I am. read more

In April of this year I was in a terrible car accident. My whiplash was extremely painful. I completed 39 sessions of chiropractic care which gave me relief for a couple of hours. To make a long story short American Spine was the best referral ever. The whole team is welcoming and experienced. I ended up getting the Medical Branch Block procedure to my back and a month later I am finally relieved of pain. I would recommend American Spine to anyone in pain. No need for opiates when you experience the care of American spine. read more
