My son saw the pain doctor two days ago and was told his rx would be called in that afternoon. CVS did not get it but did get the wrong medications to fill. So I text and emailed this place several times and two days later the CVS still doesn't have it. I was given the runaround that they will resend it which is what they said yesterday but still no prescription was sent. It's not a first time issue. Inland pain specialist, many problems with this medical establishment. If you could find another pain provider besides this one I would skip this one. I'm going out my way to address several issues with Dr.khatibi and is lovely desk lady's that focus on countering yelps to save there 2.2 reviews from going any lower. Anyone that complains on here, his desk heros automatically claim breaking of contract to male themselves look better. Social security called this establishment and they didn't give them any information and ignored them. what is the point of your job if you can't even respond to social security when they ask for medical documentation. Now to address the khatibi situation. He stacks his medical establishment with people in orange county and surrounding counties. He's a greedy person and sits all day accepting cal optima and medical recipients stacking clientele. His customer service is a good solid 1. He has a attitude and he never responds to his texts or phone, nor does his front desk staff. I didn't break contract, I called a few times on a Friday repeatedly because his office was going to close and there's a problem at the pharmacy. He dropped me, then called me gave me medication, made it seem that he's was still my pain specialist, mind you I got shot in the stomach with a AR 15, and I have a kidney stone surgery soon along with seeing 7 different doctors. I thought I was still going to get meds from Mr. Khatibi next month so I didn't start looking for a new doctor until it was too late and when I found put he dropped me he ignored my calls for 2 weeks and I had to call him from another number to get ahold of him to tell me he "recommended" me to another provider for in "office services" when I've been getting meds from Mr.khatibi for 6 months over the phone. Now because he wants to be petty ,prideful and spiteful he drops me as a patient and I had to go to emergency room to get meds every 4 days until i could get pain meds from my primary for a few weeks while I wait to get a new pain management dr. I'm extremely disabled and he put me through he'll just because I called a few times on a Friday to get my meds before his office closes due to pharmacy issues. He has a hippocratic oath to follow and he breaks it because he has tons of other clientele from the state "medical" he can turn and burn. Even if you are extremely injured he won't hesitate to drop you and not tell you and ignore your calls and texts when you try to get ahold of him. Save yourself some time and a headache and the possibility of having to get meds from the emergency room because this place is hard to get ahold of and the so called pain specialist MR. Khatibi is a prideful, egotistical so called doctor will cause you great inconvenience when you're extremely injured or not. Look at there yelp scores. They are 2s. That should speak for itself. I give inland pain specialist a 1 score from customer service to interaction of doctor himself. He's a fake person and his front desk staff only know how to respond to yelps instead of actually doing there job and picking up phone calls from the social security office. read more

Do not come here. I went to the one in corona after my pain medicine had stopped work and I had had a failed back surgery and could not get my medication changed. After 3 months a student PA said they could only change me to suboxone and labeled me with Opiate use disorder. I told her I didn't have that and she said it's the only way the insurance would pay for it. I was desperate to have my pain lowered. She absolutely poisoned me with the amount of suboxone she put me on. She took me from 3 7.5 mg Percocet to 8 mg 3 times a day suboxone and made me incredibly sick for years. I cannot get anyone to take me off of it or treat my pain. I now know the amount of suboxone she put me on is for someone with a high, high opiate dependency which I did not have. When I try to go off of it I'm worse. It completely raised my tolerance higher than it was. I have lived in an extreme amount of suffering unable to get any care since. It's criminal what they did to me. Also the office staff is absolutely terrible and none of them have any place in the healthcare system. The lady pictured will actually yell at you. Complete trash and only causes harm. read more

My first appointment is my last appointment. I got there in Murrieta and the door was inside the building and filthy. Entered to find the theme continued. Small dark, cramped and dirty. the person at the desk told me to leave because I didn't have insurance authorization. I had the letter with me but that didn't matter. So she turned me away. 2 hours later the office texted me that I missed me appointment. So I texted back, (they rarely answer the phone) saying I will not be using there service due to it being poorly run and dirty. The next day I got a text stating my new appointment is 9-9-23. Murrieta office is not open Saturday. I called and found this was Escondido office. Mass confusion fallowed. I told that office I was not going 35 miles for an appointment I didn't want in the first place. Then I told then I fired the Murrieta office and was done with them all together. I received a text message stating that I had an appointment with this place, which I never made, as it's too far for me to drive, so I called to find out what was going on, and the person who answered the phone was busy with someone else, and just kept telling me to hold on while they were talking , then gave the line to another employee. When I asked where the person was I was just speaking to, because I had already explained all this to someone else, she rudely stated that "that person is working; what do you need?" I started to explain again, and then she hung up on me. That tells me everything I need to know about their practice. Another garbage, trash medi-cal factory. They also don't make appointments: it's just WALK-IN ONLY... FOR PAIN MANAGEMENT. Didn't even make it in to this dump before filing a complaint. The name that the first person gave me was "Maria" for the person who hung up on me, and her own name as "Brenda," but I think she's making up the names. Anyone who hangs up on a patient at a medical practice, when the patient isn't being abusive or rude, should be fired. Full stop. They then just turned the phones off and stopped answering. Their voicemail is also full so you can't leave a message. Will file a complaint with insurance company and IPA about this dump. All you need to know is that all but one of their reviews are ONE STAR. Enough said. read more

I feel like I owe it to the public to let it be known how terrible this place is. I have a family member who was a patient here and was treated horribly. he is elderly Ii could not believe the type of abuse they have going on here. This is specifically for the front desk staff. I accompanied him to his appointment since he is elderly and hard of hearing I was attempting to sign in for him and the woman in the front desk was yelling at us saying we don't have an appointment which we did and I was trying to show her through a confirmation message. I'm not sure if afterwards she realized she was wrong and didn't want to admit it but she started yelling at me and telling me to go away if I didn't like the service i was completely stunned and confused why this women was yelling at me so I asked her what was her problem and she then proceeded to scream at in front of everybody that was in that office (which was completely uncalled for seeing as i had not done anything at all or even raised my voice) to get out of here which I did because I didn't want to be yelled at any more I didn't deserve that type of treatment. and this hasn't been the first incident either. My family member advice me they had pervious run ins with these people but they ended going back because at that moment had no choice. Please do not come to this place. you or your family member will be abused verbally. i will see to it that this women gets apprehended because this behavior is completely wrong and unprofessional. Their front desk staff is disgustingly unprofessional. They hang up on you and don't let you get a word out edgewise. They lie to you and when you call back they act like the don't remember ever saying what they said. Same person answers the phone and it's a different lie every time you call. Not to mention the "doctors" that evaluate you are medical students half the time and they do not have a real MD supervising them in the room. What a joke. Be prepared with all your documentation. Don't be rude, as they do their best with the inflow. The more care you show for yourself, the better. Learn some Farsi. It goes a long way. Business practices are questionable at best. Doctor wasn't on the premises during my husbands intial visit as a new patient. The only provider he saw was an RN not even a NP. The front staff is beyond rude and unfriendly. The main woman in charge is the doctor's cousin. We were there for less than an hour and I counted no less than 15 patients in and out during that time. No physical exam at all. Not even a blood pressure. My husband has multiple diagnoses including but not limited to renal failure, diabetes, artificial heart valve, pacemaker, and long covid to name a few. The RN was friendly and helpful but not qualified in my opinion to provide the level of care my husband needs. I will be speaking with his pcp for a new referral. read more

They see people on a walk-in basis or appt, which works well for me. The front office is no-nonsense, but if you are polite to them, they are polite to you. They give what they get. The PAs are generally really good. I haven't used the surgery center for Botox yet, have generally had it at the office. Dr. Khatibi is amazing. I do wish there wasn't such turnover in staff - they have rotating interns and it makes it hard to develop a working relationship. But I manage. People saying they're horrible... Ive seen SO MANY people screaming at the front office staff. Every time I go in, someone is yelling. Manners go a long way. read more

They treated me bad at the front desk and I asked for a receipt that I needed to be from my insurance company and they said they would email me it and they never did never called despite my numerous calls and I lost $60. They take you in there and ask for your license and they never gave mine back to me and I had to go to DMV to get another one and cost 39 bucks to get a new one. I never got the money back. I love the Doctors that are very kind and understanding. Hundreds of people complain about the front desk people but nothing gets done about it because apparently it's his mother. I do not recommend this place whatsoever. The doctors mother is a giant bitch. They will charge you even if you have insurance. and 99% of the time i don't even get to see the actual doctor. I have been asking for them to start my paperwork for disability and its been 6 or 7 months and they have done nothing. They just like to hand out narcotics and take your money. Wow! Wish I could give 0 stars! Went there because I couldn't get into my pain management doctor for a shot that day. Not realizing what kind of place it really was. I'm rating this on the person that answers the phone and the gal at the front, office space and what they do to help. Both were SO incredibly rude. When you call to make an appt, the women is very hard to understand, short and rude. Told me she doesn't have time for my questions. I asked if they do epidural shots, she said yes come in at 11. Didn't take any of my info and hung up. When I arrived the office is chaotic, filthy. The women at the front ignored me as I walked up. After standing there for a couple min, I let her know I was here for my 11am appt. she told me sit down. I asked if I needed a clipboard, she said yes. Filled out a short questionnaire. Seemed odd for a Dr office not to list medicinal information etc. filled it out. Gave her the clipboard, id,insurance. Immediately she told me I need to pay $40. I kindly explained I don't have a co pay based on our insurance. She told me I did. Again, let her know she needs to call our BCross union line for the info. She didn't want to hear me, told me I was wrong. She stated the lady told her based on my insurance I owe $40. Interesting enough she hadn't even checked my insurance so there is no way she could have known. She told me I need to call theM, I did and confirmed no copay is needed. Still no luck, then she called me up and asked for the #. Gave it to her. Someone called and her reply was, you are right, you have no copay. I was then called into a room that looked concerning. What kind of dr office has a chair and desk w nothing else in it. I didn't get a good vibe. A man who is Conducting his rotations came in. Before he could ask me ? I told him My concerns. 1st he said what I was asking to have done they don't do there, this is a clinic, the surgery center is in Riverside. He said all they can do is prescribe pain pills. Now it all made sense. I really feel that this place is nothing short of a pill popping resource center. I kindly excused myself and said I won't be needing these services. I've gone here for 3 years the 2 younger girls are the desk are rly nice to me , I struggle w multiple sclerosis n the drs have worked hard to get me capable and comfortable to have a normal 20 year old life again , the doctors and front won't call the pharmacy for u they not the best at answering in end day so call in morning or texting them is better I've noticed , a lot people say it's bad ect it depends how u treat them they won't tolerate u being a bitch or taking advantage of there kindness , u won't find another pain management that offers no appt walk ins like they do they get me in n out within a hour or less , dr kalani is really funny and sweet I've seen almost every np there and like them he takes on new NP students every few months - year so they don't decorate there offices looks a lil dull but they will help u if u help urself. Pain pill mill. They do not want to help you fix your ailment. They want to prescribe pain pills. So if that's what your after than this is your place. If you want your problems fixed this is not your place. Staff are not friendly. I've been three times and seen three doctors. All have offered more drugs and less options. I had to do my own research for procedures and bring it to them to get what I needed. So, again, if your just after the pain pills this is your place. But everyone else?? I went today as a walk in. I've been with Dr. khatibi for years and he is an amazing doctor. I loved that he cared so much and took care of my problems. But today as I went to the other location, the front lady tried to make me pay $50 first then looked at her cell phone and then said it was $60. I have Cigna ppo with my deductible met and pay zero co-pays for any medical service or doctor visits. After I tried to show her my app which stated deductible met and you pay nothing in those expect words, she then said I could not see the dr and to go outside and call my insurance. Which I did not go outside but sat inside the office and called. The representative from my insurance verified no I don't pay any copays and I'm covered 100%. She would not listen and walked to the back and refused to speak with me or my insurance. All she did was take a pic of my license and Insurance card and someone texted her a copay amount. She never called to verify. In fact there was no landline phones in the office just her cell phone. It's a shame I was treated that way because the dr is amazing. If u have IEHP u won't have a problem. My commercial insurance they make you pay a high copayment. I am extremely sad to have to go to another dr. But with the lady treating me that way and refusing to see me unless I paid is wrong. I even tried to go to the back to talk to her in which she said she was calling the cops. I stood there for a min to reason with her but she walked away acting like she was calling the cops. It's so unnecessary to be so mean to people with commercial insurance. I turned them in with my insurance but I'm sure she won't lose the job and it will just go against the awesome Dr. Khatibi. Super upset with front staff and it's really wrong of her to be that way. Wow. This place is the PRIME example of what is wrong with our medical system. The disorganization and unprofessionalism of the back office staff is something I have never experienced. The doctor is sometimes there and sometimes not. So I usually see a PA student, which I don't mind however some procedures I get REQUIRE the doctor to administer and he has left for the day. Meanwhile I have driver 45 minutes to their office, called ahead of time to make sure the doctor is in, and STILL have to come back! And their "oh well go somewhere else then" attitude leaves little to be desired. It isn't uncommon for this place to have patients crying, and yelling in the waiting room needing the front office to send a fax or a call to their pharmacy. And because they are now addicted to the poison this doctor so freely hand out prescriptions for they are desperate and it's sad to see the TOTAL lack of compassion from every single person who works there. Weird, sudden charges at the front desk. After years seeing these "doctors" they all of a sudden needed 200 annual co pay. I was surprised but paid it thinking it was a new insurance policy. The next month I go in " it was suppose to be $300 not $200. You owe us $100 more or you can't see the doctor ". I paid it but called my insurance and they have NO knowledge of such a fee. He will prescribe a medicine then all of a sudden he " not able to give those types of medicines anymore". No warning to make arrangements to find a new dr . Just cut off your medicine. This place is crooked, and whoever answers the phones is as rude as can be. They call you a liar and don't hesitate to hang up on you. After 2 visits, they claimed my Insurance wasn't paying them, so I had to be a cash patient. The next month, I got a statement in the mail from my insurance showing they had paid this practice. My next visit ; I told them, "hey my insurance is paying you. " they responded with "no they aren't. Pay 125 cash or leave". I get another statement from insurance showing they paid again. So my next visit I showed them the statements and they said "ok, just 20 dollar co pay today then." And refused to refund me the 250.00 from the previous visits. Pretty sure they bill the insurance , and then the desk cu*t areas your cash money and splits it with the family. Khatibi is a nerd who tries to act cool in there. Completely un-professional. When I got an injection in my back his words were "alright show me what were workin with" but in like a deep, robin williams kind of comedy way. Didn't even inject me in the right spot. They have now cancelled me as a patient because I got emergency surgery and got pain medication from the surgeon which will cause an "inconsistency" on the drug panel, and supposedly the DEA doesn't care about reasoning, just the screen. So even though I got my appendix removed, and got a different medication than pain management gives, the DEA won't care. Just "nope, you failed drug test. I don't care" . So khatibi literally told me, in front of staff and patients, "I don't know what to tell you, is what it is. don't come back, you're fired as a patient. " read more
