I showed my Go City pass to the bus driver at one of the stops, and he provided a paper ticket that gave me the two days. When you board, there are ear plug sets. Get the ear plug set, since you will need them to hear the stops called out. There are two jacks for each set of seats and a running narration with fun information about the city and the stops. You can sit inside or upstairs in the open air area. I used the bus at the end of July in the mornings starting around 10:15 - 11:00 am at bus stop 2, Columbus/Ghirardelli Square which is in front of the Hotel Caza across from Marriott Fisherman's Wharf. It is a 6 minute walk to Ghirardelli Square. I always found a seat, and the bus was about 10 - 20 minutes after the time the app said it would be. I recommend you go to the website ahead of time and have the list of stops and the attractions near each and plan ahead. Bring your coat if you plan to get off at the Golden Gate stops 11 and 12. It is super windy and chilly. I took the bus to the stop 3 North Beach / Chinatown which lets you off at North Beach and stop 5 Ferry Building which lets you off across the street. I also did the entire loop getting off at stop 11 South Vista Point / Golden Gate Bridge - get off there for the Golden Gate Visitor Center, a view of the bridge, and information about the bridge up the ramp, and a cafe. Bathrooms are in the parking lot. Hold onto your hat as your cross the bridge or it will get blown off when you ride the bus. IMPORTANT NOTE: ** Stop 11 South Vista Point / Golden Gate Bridge lists Botanical Gardens. It is about 3.2 miles or over 1 hour, 15 minutes by walking. ** Stop 12 North Vista Point / Golden Gate Bridge gives you a panoramic view of San Francisco. The last stop is stop 17 Pier 39 with the sea lions, Aquarium of the Bay, Boudin sourdough bakery, and restaurants. A short walk away: - Alcatraz ferry at Pier 33 - Red and White Boat tours at Pier 43 - USS Pampanito submarine is docked at Pier 45

Upon arrival, drivers are met with clearly marked signs directing drivers to valet parking OR, the spacious well lit self-parking structure. For those driving from long distances, there is a gas station/convenience store located near the entrance of self-parking. Access to the hotel front desk and casino from self-parking is extremely easy as depending where you park can be a short walk to the elevators. I think that there is a parking level that allows you to enter the hotel lobby without taking the elevator. The hotel lobby is beautifully decorated. We were able to walk straight to the front desk and get checked in. Check-in was a breeze. The front desk staff, Jules, was fantastic. She was professional, welcoming and just a pure spark of joy the entire time. Being a stargazer, I asked about stargazing conditions (whether hotel lighting negatively impacted seeing the stars at night) and she patiently fielded my questions. Walking to our room through the casino was easy. On our way to the South Tower we passed restaurants, cafes and several well appointed areas to sit. The hotel design and decoration is absolutely stunning. Our room was also quite nice. We really enjoyed our stay. I would highly recommend this casino/resort for those looking for gambling fun and relaxation. Kudos to hotel staff and management for a wonderful experience.

We were told by the front desk to use the QR code at each table to place food and drink orders. Carissa came out from behind the bar and said she was happy to help us. She brought us a physical menu with a huge smile and was a true delight. My favorite part of our morning was watching Carissa stop what she was doing to open the gate door for 2 women that were struggling up the stairs with walkers and bags. She kindly took the bags from both women, held the door open and sat them down with their friends/family. This reason alone is why I'm writing this review because she warmed my heart with absolute pure kindness. Second department that I enjoyed was the spa. I've been to the spa a few times now. It's always clean. The support team is kind and helpful. My facial today was with Maria, she was wonderful! I had an 80 min session. It felt like 8 minutes. I suppose that's a downside however, we chatted so much that the time flew by. Chatting in a great way :) We had a great time together and I loved my facial.

Umbrella Bus barely got our passengers from Point A to Point B, did not do so efficiently, and arguably didn't do it terribly safely. We booked Umbrella for a 54-passenger shuttle to transport wedding guests from our wedding hotel to our ceremony venue, and then from the ceremony venue to the reception venue ($1050 total). I confirmed this itinerary with their staff by email and phone several times (at least three), because they kept sending me invoices that only showed a partial itinerary, but they assured me that they had the correct itinerary written down and would read off the correct itinerary on the phone when I called. On the first trip, the bus driver got the bottom of the bus stuck on a steep hill, rendering it unable to move. Guests had to walk nearly a quarter mile from where the bus got stuck to the ceremony site. The bus was also blocking the entrance to the park where the ceremony was held, meaning that park visitors and several wedding guests who were behind it were severely delayed in getting into the park. We had a couple of guests who missed some of the wedding ceremony because the bus blocked the entrance for so long. It would've been 3.5 stars if only for this, since it wasn't 100% the driver's fault, though he should really have known what the buses he drives are able to handle. On the second trip, though, despite me confirming the destinations in the itinerary with Umbrella MULTIPLE TIMES, the driver had somehow been given the wrong destination by their dispatch, and took guests back to the hotel instead of to the wedding reception venue. My family members had to argue with the driver, who insisted that he'd been told to take everyone back to the hotel, and "I'm only doing two trips, how will people get back to the hotel?" but he eventually relented and took everyone to the reception instead, but meant that most of the guests were delayed by quite a bit in getting to the reception. This definitely wasn't the driver's fault though, and was clearly the fault of the company/dispatch. He did eventually take the guests where they needed to go, which we appreciate.

Let's be honest - I am not a farm person. I appreciate a good meal but am not one who normally spends much time worrying about where my food comes from. So I expected to be bored on this trip, frankly. Boy was I wrong. This trip blew my expectations away. It was a great mix of different farms and different ways of doing things, and I felt like a kid again on a super-fun field trip where you got to explore and touch and watch the makings of where your food comes from. The farmers were genuine, down-to-earth people and were serious farm-fresh foodies. We literally had meals prepared for us by the farmers right in front of us and they were SO DELICIOUS. I got to pick my own tomatoes right off the vine. I even learned about fruits and vegetables I'd never even heard of. Oh, did I mention I got to try them out, too? The environment was relaxed. The guides were very knowledgeable and interesting. And the design of the event was really mellow but well planned. Did I mention the views? These properties are just amazing. What awesome country to get to go hang out in. Between all the exploring, wine, food and learning, the day went by fast and I got to take in a ton of beautiful sites. This tour was a find. After having my parents visit the bay area regularly and running out of creative things to do with them, I know where I am taking them next. What a great and unique thing to do on your weekend.

Bay Area Green Tours really came through in this regard, and they arranged everything beautifully. The most memorable stop was a farm run by a restauranteur and chef, and they went all out on the tour. We picked our own fruits and vegetables and the chef prepared them in a gorgeous outdoor setting. Meeting the family that owned and operated the farm was eye opening and educational. For example, the farmer/chef explained that his warm-loving citrus trees do much better at higher altitude up his hill rather than at the base due to the downhill sliding effect of cold air. Good eats, great people, and very educational. Not a bad way to spend a weekend or two!

My tour guide was fantastic: friendly, knowledgeable, and full of fun facts, local tips, and recommendations that made the experience even better. I also loved that the group was small (about 8 people in the van), which made it easy to ask questions and actually see everything without feeling crowded. The three photo stops are short, but they're at excellent viewpoints and perfect for getting some Instagram-worthy pictures. As a solo traveler, I honestly can't recommend this tour enough. You get an incredible amount of value for the price, and it's a great way to get your bearings before exploring the city on your own. I'd recommend keeping notes of the places and recommendations your guide mentions so you can revisit them later. One thing that really stood out was the customer service. My original booking didn't meet the minimum group size, so I was moved to a different tour. Unfortunately, that caused me to arrive late, but the guide was incredibly gracious and made me feel welcome without any hassle. Whether you're traveling solo, with a partner, or as a family, I'd absolutely recommend this tour. It's one of the best ways to kick off a trip to San Francisco.
