1-1.5 hour drive from Sacramento to Cache Creek in Brooks, about 30 minutes west of Woodland. Free self-parking garage has red-green parking indicators to show where there are free spaces, a VIP section on the lower level, and five levels total. Stairs or Elevators to access the casino; direct walkway on a certain garage level. There were also parking lots too for each tower. This review is mainly for the concert/entertainment Event Center venue at Cache Creek Casino Resort. Doors open one hour before showtime and close one hour after show starts; only re-entry is allowed after doors close. To attend any show there, you must be 21+. No photography or recording of any kind is permitted during the show (this was included in a Know Before You Go e-mail but NOT announced right before showtime). No outside food or drink (only the Event Center bar), no weapons. Metal detector security check for all, bag check only if they ask. Box office opens 4 hours before showtime. Mom's Mother's Day gift was tickets to see Filipina vocalist Morissette Amon's June 13th sold-out one night only performance of her Ember Tour. From the event description: Morissette is a Filipino singer and songwriter nicknamed in the press "Asia's Phoenix". She gained notice as a runner-up in TV5's Star Factor at age 14 and made her theatrical debut in 2012 as Mitchie Torres in Repertory Philippines' adaptation of Disney's Camp Rock. She received wider notice as a semi-finalist in the first season of ABS-CBN's The Voice of the Philippines in 2013. In 2015, Morissette released her self-titled debut album. It was certified Platinum by the Philippine Association of the Record Industry. The accolades for Morissette's music and performances have included two Awit Awards, an Aliw Award, six PMPC Star Awards for Music, and 38 Wish 107.5 Music Awards, the most such awards of any artist. With ticket purchase, they did provide an optional promo code for 15% off a room reservation valid only for the night of the event if you were interested in staying over. Tickets were non-refundable and managed through an Etix account. Delivery of tickets wasn't available until 5 days before the event, and could be printed or added to phone's digital wallets. From the parking garage elevator, you did have to walk through the gaming area and past the eateries to get to the Event Center. Outside the security checkpoint, the closest restroom that I saw/used only had 2 stalls. Once you get past the security, then the Event Center and ballrooms have their own bathrooms. Ushers were good showing you to your section/row/seats. These were metal cushioned interlocking chairs, no armrests, seat number labeled on top. We were in SEC 5, Row BB, Seats 61 and 62. This wasn't bad at all to see the stage, plus they had the big screens on either side too, although unless you're in a group, unfortunately you can't choose your neighbors. 2-hour show, no intermission, one artist outfit change, acoustics were alright, special effects and lighting were cool. As I mentioned before, policy says no photography or recording but even though we got there when doors opened at 7pm, there was no general announcement/reminder before the show actually started. So, for the opening Tagalog song, many, many folks were recording video. The ushers and security swooped in, pointing and making big "X's" with their arms to get people to stop. At one point, security escorted Morissette down/through the audience aisles during a song and then fans were again taking photos and video and selfies as she passed by. I wish they would at least allow maybe the encore song or something, especially in this modern/social day and age, or a designated photo op. It was great to catch Morissette live for an unforgettable night of powerhouse vocals and pure emotion! She did maybe 4 English songs, a couple Bisaya songs, and the rest were Tagalog. Her 15 years in the industry were well-represented and songs ranged from romantic ballads like Akin Ka Na Lang and Gusto Ko Nang Bumitaw to Secret Love Song, Defying Gravity, I'll Be There, and Rise Up. If you go to see your favorite act or band and choose a hotel somewhere nearby you'll be screwed because none of the Uber/Lyft drivers aren't readily available and you end up waiting for far too long just to get back to your hotel! It's crazy. This casino resort is too far out of the way for any drivers to take advantage of taking on picking up passengers. There seems to be a network of making us wait until it's too far for any kind of respite. It's criminal! Uber keeps moving our pickup time and now it's after 2am and can't even get a drink to help smooth out our endless wait times! We have had free rooms at Cache Creek for some time but until now had only done day trips. A 1 night get away using 2 comped rooms with my mom and my husband. Outstanding rooms in the South tower! Bathrooms are huge, the shower is almost too big, you have to get out of the water to adjust the temp. That big! Comfortable beds, bath robes, smart fridge. Coffee in the room was not good. And the coffee maker in mom's room didn't work at all. Very thoughtful lighting was a stand out. The pool/spa area was beautiful even in the rain! The elevators to the hotel were confusing to me at first, when you push your floor it will tell which elevator to get in. I got the hang of it. The casino was the casino. Cache Creek is my new favorite casino in NorCal!! After a 5-year hiatus I recently came back and had a good time. Fast forward a month and they have sent me some great incentives and I'm quite surprised as I've never received them before. For January 2026 I have 2 free night stay, a good amount of free play and food credit. I stayed at the hotel for the new year and I was very much impressed. Upon arriving I utilized the free valet and it was nice and easy. The hotel check-in process was seamless and the front desk staff as well as the bell staff were amazing. Customer service here overall is just at an all-time high and I love that. The king bedroom I was given was in the South Tower which was the newer tower and I had a valley view as well as a pool view. The view was amazing although it was cloudy and raining I could look out the window all day. The room was very modern and chic, the bathroom was spacious and clean. The bed was firm yet extremely comfortable and I have no complaints. This was one of the better rooms that I've stayed at in a casino. My two-day stay was great, the slots did me right as I won a jackpot and kept winning. I accumulated a lot of cache comp which paid for my meals during my stay as well as my gas. My only complaints are the excessive amount of smoke, my clothes reek of smoke. Also, I had a few issues at one of the restaurants but other than that everything was good. They don't have coffee in the morning because half the time they are closing one business such as sweets cafe and C2 steakhouse but don't let you know anything until last minute, when closing of the restaurants happens Monday/Tuesdays. It seems They want you to be annoyed. They look at you with an attitude that is similar to a local looking at an outsider. There is NO water in the entire casino that you don't pay for and valet and bag check were very young and the females didn't want to lift any bags but won't you lift your own bag when using a rolling cart due liability. We stayed one night at the resort this past weekend and it was amazing! Room: We had a room in the South Tower on the 9th floor. The view was breathtaking, over the serene rolling foothills. The elevator requires you to enter your floor number, and then assigns an elevator for you to get on. This was cool and the fact that we didn't have to stop at every floor to let people on or off was an added bonus. Casino: The casino has many of the newer games so we were pretty excited about that. We were able to use our freeplay, and the machines were semi-generous. I saw several handpays which also gives me hope for one (LOL), but always a nice thing to see that the machines are paying. A little smokey but not too bad. Canyon Cafe: I learned that the cafe takes reservations through Open Table (uh oh, the secret is out!) so that worked in our favor for dinner on Saturday night (pre-concert meal), as well as a late breakfast on Sunday. The food was nothing short of amazing. They were super busy Sunday morning but the servers were hustling and doing as well as could be expected during a busy time. Concert Venue: We had tickets to see The Commodores. We were in the 7th row on the floor, which were great seats. The Commodores were amazing! The only thing I didn't like was that during several songs, people with seats farther back, were allowed to dance right in front of stage, and security did not stop them. One gal kept running up to the stage and taking selfies with the performers behind her, constantly blocking the person sitting in the front, on the end. I am not security so it is up to that person to say something, however, if you buy a ticket for a premium seat, others should not be allowed to rush to the front so they have a front seat view. I am not being a downer about this, I am just suggesting that security not allow people to block others' view. I mean, why is security stationed at both ends of the stage if they aren't going to do their jobs? Bars: We sat at the Elevate Lounge and had a couple of drinks when we first arrived. The bartender made an excellent Raspberry Lemon Drop! Later on in the day, we sat at the bar at the cafe. Evan (Bartender) was very attentive, and was very kind when we asked him to take our picture. Beware fraudulent charges. Been going here for years now, occasionally staying at the hotel when the room has been comped. This most recent stay led to a $100+ charge after the fact due to "damage to the room" as a result of "blood on the mattress pad". This 100% did not happen. I'm not sure if we didn't leave enough of a tip for housekeeping or what, but there was nothing that could be done supposedly. Was even transferred to the house keeping manager where I was promptly sent to voicemail. So if you stay I recommend taking video before checking out. Also take note of your credit card charges because I didn't receive a receipt, email, call/text, anything about this charge or checking out. Really disappointed overall, we lost plenty of money that one comped night, multiple times more than a room would normally cost yet they're still trying scam just a little bit more money out of people. That will be the last time we visit Cache Creek even if my chargeback is successful. read more

Ironically I have a completed guest comment form in my purse. We come here whenever my mom visits, which is a couple of times a year. On my last 3 visits, including this one I have been literally sucked by how poor the slots play and pay. The casino is in disrepair (torn chairs) and they are short staffed. Not one of the 6 machines I have played on this trip have paid out and my current one literally should have paid out several times but never did. I have been waiting for service for over 15 minutes and have given up hope on being helped. I honestly feel like this should be my last visit here. Stayed in room 11011 which is a very large 2 room executive suite. This room offers floor to ceiling windows in both rooms with amazing scenic views of the green hills. The room feels like everything in it was hand picked just for you. You are given complimentary Fiji waters with a robust assortment of K cup coffee pods. We stayed here on a golf package. I'm not a gambler nor smoker. The lobby was decorated for the holidays and room is nicely appointed, although you can smell cigarette smoke in the room on the 10th floor. I was congested during my entire stay. You have to walk through the casino to access the South Tower and various eateries/restaurants. We had Dinner - duck noodles, Shrimp Platter, ice cream, Breakfast - Portuguese Breakfast, and Corned Beef Hash. Service was good, no complaints. Overpriced, Underwhelming, and Unacceptable. I am beyond disappointed with the dining options at CC. While the estate is beautiful, the restaurants--specifically Enso Sushi and Chang Shou--are a total disgrace to the property's reputation. Enso Sushi was an exercise in frustration. It took nearly an hour to serve a simple 10-piece nigiri in a restaurant that was practically empty. The insult to injury? The fish was still frozen in the middle. Serving unthawed, "crunchy" fish at these prices isn't just lazy; it's a health concern. Avoid at all costs. Chang Shou was somehow even worse. I ordered the duck wonton noodles, and it was easily the worst bowl of noodles I've ever been served. The duck skin was a soggy, fatty mess, the wontons were 90% dough with no filling, and the noodles were a pile of overcooked mush. I expected excellence from these establishments, but I left feeling ripped off and disgusted. Save your appetite and your money--eat literally anywhere else. read more

The room was great for a one night stay. The beds were comfortable. The large bathroom with two sinks was perfect. The room was also clean. The room had no smoking scent at all. The toilet handle is somewhat complicated. It was finicky when pressed and the toilet kept making loud refilling noises. The light sensor in between the beds was sensitive. Also we heard all the guests coming outside in the hallway. They weren't screaming but we can hear their conversation in our room. read more

Had a good time on a recent visit. The casino is a short drive into the Capay Valley in Yolo County. There is a covered parking garage and a separate parking lot with the hotel/casino sandwiched between the two. Both have accessible parking spaces. Inside the casino there are tables, slots, and restaurants. The hotel is upstairs. The casino is smoky (like most casinos) but there is a small non-smoking section. It isn't enclosed but does offer a bit of a break from the constant smoke/vapors in the smoking section. The slots are not as tight as Graton. So that's enjoyable. The server's come around for non-alcoholic drinks but due to State regulations they can't serve alcoholic spirits. For those you must go to the bar. There are about 11 restaurants on premises. I've only eaten at 2, repeatedly lol. There is security present which is comforting but I've never witnessed any problems. read more

I love coming here for the blackjack tables! Most of the dealers I've met, like Bishnu and Sean, are super friendly and genuinely good at what they do. It makes the experience so much more enjoyable when they know how to keep the energy fun. I'll also hit the slots now and then. Huff and Puff and The Mummy are my personal faves. The machines are well-maintained, and there's always a good variety to choose from. The bathrooms are always clean and the food on-site is actually really solid. Disappointed with the room maintenance, many room issues. To be rated a 4 Diamond, this room was definitelyNOT on the inspection list...really bad, and very disappointing. Service was great! The Head of HR saw my mom and I trying to take a photo by the HUGE Christmas tree and offered to assist without us asking!!! As an HR professional myself, she sets the example of how all employees behave. EXCELLENT!! SECURITY was Amazing. I believe his name was Mark or David, so sorry I can't remember. But I reported my bag and my computer missing and he was involved from start to. He kept me in the loop. He contacted the person that had taken it and he worked hard and it seems like that was his whole focus, to get my things back. His diligence, care and concern to handle the situation professionally was what was expected. I also want to give a shout out to the local police department although they're not part of the hotel they do work hand-in-hand.. between the police department and the director of security, they managed to address the situation with the suspect and just manage to get them to do the right thing in return the bag. THANK YOU! overall, excellent stay, though please have the employees report room d discrepancies when they see them. It takes everyone to maintain the hotel so everyone needs to report shortcomings. Note: this review is for non gamblers. I am not a gambler, or a cigarette smoker so, going there was not an enjoyable experience! I went to Cache Creek to hear a favorite band, Jefferson Starship. The show was fantastic! But my hair reeked of cigarettes after the show, because we had to walk through the entire casino to get to the show room. Also, as with many of the Indian Casinos, the location is in the middle of nowhere. It was hours away from where I live. I knew it would be a long night of partying, so I looked into staying at the hotel on site. This was on a Saturday night, and I kid you not, the 'cheapest' room was over $500. !! They've really got you by the 'short & curlys" because the nearest other hotel is a 40 minute drive! So, I had to drive, bleary eyed, on a 2 lane blacktop in the rainy night before hitting the nxt town. Very dangerous. I do have a tip, tho. Most of the resturants are adjacent to the smoke filled gambling. Nothing like breathing in cigarettes when trying to eat...gross! But, there is a separate Marketplace "all you can eat" style resturant where, for a reasonable $41., you can help yourself to the delicious food. It's buffet style. I was amazed at how good it was! So, thumbs up for the Shows and the Buffet, and a big thumbs down for the other bits. read more

We celebrated Chinese New Year by booking a one-night stay at Cache Creek Casino. It's about an hour's drive from the Bay Area. You have to drive safely as it will take you to a long winding road to the casino. Once we checked in, we were given the keys to our room in the South Tower. The room we got has a king-size bed and the bathroom is so spacious. The room is very comfortable and cozy. Me and my wife gambled during our stay and enjoyed their other amenities. We dined in at their restaurants and grabbed coffee and pastries at their coffee shop. While playing the casino, a group of Chinese performers were dancing and celebrating Chinese New Year with their dinosaur customers. They were walking around the casino grounds and everybody stopped to admire their performance. I saw several including myself taking photos and videos. I would like to commend the management staff for organizing and setting up this event. Cache Creek is a nice place to enjoy the casino without flying to Las Vegas. This review is about entertainment: Went to a concert and the staff/ushers pretty much ruined the show for us. They kept walking up and down the isles in their white shirts which would interrupt the show for us. They stood behind us having a conversation, really was upsetting as we went there to listen to the concert not their yapping. Leave the show folks free to enjoy at the event. The concert venue is not the best, I thought is would be built for maximum concert sound and view. However, it is more like a big hall with chairs. This was so upsetting that we could not enjoy at all. I refuse to attend another concert at this casino as it was the worst experience ever at a concert. read more
