It's a little pricey but they had what we needed. The lady in the office was somewhat friendly and very knowledgeable.

We went to this location a weeks ago and these are the most RUDE individuals I've ever met that runs this company. When we pulled up. The older gentleman was not very friendly and did not greet us. We did see some flagstone which we liked so decided we would purchase it. As we walked into the show room. I take it that this is a family business but these two who were on the inside appeared to be husband and wife team. They just looked at us like what the "F" you want. Especially the adult male who appears to be in his late 40' or early 50's. To be honest I feel like there is a little racism going on at this location. The older guy who assisted us stated as we were looking at the flag stone that the particular brand we were looking at were all the same; however, when we got home and started installing it. It was very obvious that they were not. I will be calling tomorrow to see if we can do an exchange but LORD knows I don't want to contact them. I think I'm gonna go back up and just video them so people can truly see how bad this company is. After this transaction you best believe I will be blasting their A!! all over Social Media advising people not to go there if this is how they are going to be treating customers. read more

They have bad customer service! Guy told me that I could load the stone with my hands, not his. They had what I needed so I bought from them. Otherwise would have went elsewhere. I had someone order 40 tons of gravel for a wall I am building. Ground is wet, guy was worried he would get stuck and actually did. He was not able to go as far down as we wanted and when he brought the second load he dropped part of it in the street. I called American Stone and talked to Jeff who said there was nothing he could do about it. Now I have gravel in the street. The driver was told not to dump it where he did and he did it any way. I am sure I will never order this much gravel again but if I do, it sure as shooting will not be this bunch of clowns. read more

This place has the worse customer service I have ever witnessed. I felt insulted. I could not concentrate for wondering what I had done to these people. The female cashier just stared at me as I walked in. She didn't speak just stared. I told her I wanted to buy some flag stone. She rolled her eyes and said "which one". Rude! I have NEVER felt more unwelcome as a customer ANYWHERE. I know I don't know much about landscaping, hardly anything at all but I do know something about business and customer service and they don't have the customer service. I'm sure in their business they don't like dealing with the general public and would rather work only with contracted landscapers but ultimately I am still the customer that hired the landscaper who is spending thousands and I'd like to make sure before my order is placed I'm getting exactly what I want. I went in to look at their variety of river rock and boulders for a dry creek bed in my back yard. Knowing that my square footage was high i knew I'd probably spend $3,000 plus on rock. My contractor asked me to go look at the rock before he picked it up because once you buy it, it's yours and $3,000 on rock is not pocket change for me. I felt like I was bothering them or wasting their time, it was as if they had more important things to do than to service the customer. It felt as if they were annoyed I was there or even talking to them. This family business has been in business for many years. I love supporting local specially since this is the local community I just moved to but regardless of the years they have in business, they could learn a thing or two about the customer experience. Maybe then they might get some better reviews. I have since decided to take my money else where and I couldn't be happier with my choice. read more

Absolutely terrible customer service. Called asking if they had small flat rock in stock. Was told "sorry I have been loading trucks all day". After driving there & selecting a pallet was told I could NOT remove the broken rocks on top layer. Owner then tried to price gouge me for $600 pallet because "the rock was from Colorado". Will drive to Field Stone Center in Covington. American Stone in Stockbridge has lost another customer. read more

Spend your money SOMEWHERE else where they APPRECIATE their customers! I went in their office to find out about a brick / stone veneer, fake stone, any kind of rock that I could cover up wooden support poles for a backyard deck. The employee that was answering my questions corrected me three times in UNDER A MINUTE about my terminology. When I began walking out and said to him that I was no longer interesed due to the attitude and him correcting me, he began defending himself and what he had said. II told him he was not going to increase his business by making people feel STUPID. The last straw had been when he corrected me as I was standing in their showroom -and they had a stone fireplace on display. I had mistakenly said "flag stones like on the CHIMNEY there?" and he said FIREPLACE... As I walked out - he tried to defend himself by reasoning with me about the SECOND time he corrected me...about a per TON price (295.00) for rock versus a less than ton price which was 18 cents per pound. I had said how many pounds do you have to buy before it is more economical to buy a ton of rocks? He said if you buy less than a ton you will NOT get the TON price - I said I understand, but if I buy 1600 pounds how much does that cost? (having already done the math in my head and knowing that if I purchased 1700 lbs of rock at 18 cents per that I would be better off just buying a whole TON at 295.00) He said "If you buy 1600 pounds you will NOT get the per ton price!" I then told him as I was walking OUT THE DOOR - "well how much is 2000 pounds of rock at 18 cents per pound?" He got VERY irritated and said "you will get the per TON PRICE" And I responded "Well then.... WHAT IS THE TOTAL PRICE FOR 1800 pounds of stone?" And he said he would have to "figure it out" - that is when I told him HE WAS THE STUPID ONE! He followed me out to my vehicle saying he was not "GOING TO LET ME CALL HIM STUPID!" (like he wanted to FIGHT or something) That is when I said "FK U" and got in my vehicle. What at ignorant ass! To the the representative at American Stone that needs his name on his shirt, I hope you read this: You are FKD UP. You are running people out of your showroom. if you are a home owner with a pick-up truck, this place is awesome! u can get top soil, sand, gravel, red mulch, black mulch,..stones and brick of almost every type.(I once even got a 5 gallon bucket full of blue lava rock for an accent dry river for a small garden)..small jobs & big jobs, these guys are knowledgeable, friendly and easy going...and I am happy that there are not far away (like Marietta). they are affordable & always happy to fill up the back of your truck bed gently with whatever you're choosing. read more
