The BBs both listed some one-size-fits-all that reviews were very mixed on. Checked Miles Ace and looks like they had one (for about a $1 cheaper!) that had 2 sets of components for multiple fits. Walked in, immediately greeted by an offer to help, stated what I was looking for and got a personal escort right to the item I needed. In and out in about 5 minutes. Part worked exactly as a replacement for broken item. Miles is a bit further for me than another small box HW store I frequent, but Miles having an online search feature immediately tells me if they have what I need before driving out, which sways me over to them when looking for a unique item.

I finally found blanks, but even with the original and new blanks, I couldn't get it copied. I tried a half a dozen big box stores. It seems all the current machines require that the key matches a pre-defined blank number in the machine database (which mine does not). A perfect example of technology making things more difficult rather than easier. I saw this Ace Hardware on my way home yesterday and stopped in, hoping they could copy it. Well, they had an old key cutting machine - the kind that just duplicates whatever you put in it. The guy made me 2 copies, both of which work perfectly and charged me $0. That's right, $0. Way to go, Miles Ace Hardware - great customer service. You made a customer for life!

When I asked for clarification, the business stated they had diagnostic photos, hardware inventory screenshots, and a detailed report proving the SSD was already in the machine at the time of service. I requested copies multiple times. They did not provide a single photo, screenshot, or document. The customer portal they referenced contained only an invoice and the laptop's serial number. When I asked again for the documentation they claimed existed, the shop refused to send it and insisted they would no longer communicate in writing. They stated that any further discussion must take place only in person, which prevents any verifiable record. At no point did they provide the evidence needed to confirm their claims. My review is based entirely on written communication and the business's refusal to provide the diagnostic documentation they repeatedly referenced.

I asked how he'd like me to pay and I received this reply: "Sorry mate sold this morning l didn't hear anymore from you" This was after he had agreed to the deal with me the previous day. At the very least he could have contacted me, but no, he just reneged without saying a thing in order to make a quick buck before I had the chance to complete my payment (which I was ready to do but he hadn't provided any details). Overall, this is the most disturbing and disappointing outcome of any serious retail engagement I have ever experienced. I never expected such poor behaviour. I must say that due to the complete loss of trust I am now deeply doubtful about the quality of the piece. I may have had a nasty surprise if the sale and delivery had gone through. Spare yourself and your life these unnecessary shenanigans and keep well away. There is a distinct sense of all round dishonesty.

I think that it is so cool that this store is connected to the coffee house. The candles and body butter smell amazing. This is definitely a location to visit if you're in the area. Who doesn't love shopping and a nice place to dine. Gill-Roy's Got It! Their slogan says it all. Whenever we've been unable to locate the item in the store, the staff has went the extra mile to contact vendors and get us what we need. I don't know of any other store that provides this type of customer service. Stores are packed with merchandise and knowledgeable staff. It's an experience to just walk through the store aisle by aisle to see just how much product they pack into every square inch of the store. Worth checking out! read more
