Finally paid bill in April 27, 2026, paid thru April 14th. Told them would pay May 1st. Went to pay, started this routine of not connecting with anyone again. Finally got in touch with someone in July. They sold my things in May. Said the emailed me, texted me, called me, even used USPS. I never got any notification of sell. And I was watching for emai or text so I would have info to pay as I could catch no one in office. So do not trust as you will probably lose your things.

Not sure what has happened but the homeless people have started renting units within the facility and some of them hang out up there. At first, a couple were bringing their bicycles inside, that has slowed down and now they're just cleaning up inside the bathrooms. The German roaches have been out of control ever since I started noticing the homeless hanging around. I don't know if this is a coincidence or not. I think it can be a great place again if they fix some leaky ceiling tiles, replace some ceiling tiles that look a little moldy and they change pest control providers; it will just take time I guess.

Picked up a 10ft truck from Kingsport 2 days before my wedding. drove it to surgoinsville and…read morefilled it with chairs and had a family dinner. I was driving it back to Johnson City to get stuff from my storage unit that needed to go to the venue in Bristol the next day. It was around 10:30. The truck died in the middle of I-26 around exit 13. Alternator completely died. Called U-haul and told them I needed a tow. They told me that someone had to drive out and check that the truck was actually dead before calling a tow truck. My parents were behind us luckily so we just left the truck on the interstate and rode back to JC with them. It wasn't until we got home did I get a text that the guy who was just checking the truck was on the way from fall branch and would be there in an hour and 10 minutes. After that he called in the tow truck. All in all they didn't get the truck until about 2am which I had to stay up and be on the phone for. I also needed a 10ft truck with the chairs in the morning to take to Bristol. I was informed there were no 10ft trucks available in the entire tri-cities except the one that had just died. I had to wake up and drive back to Kingsport to pick up the truck I had after they fixed the alternator then drive back to JC then to Bristol. When I arrived to pick up the truck there was no acknowledgment whatsoever of the inconvenience of the whole ordeal. At that point I was getting married the next day. Kelly, the general manager, simply turned around and handed me the key without saying anything. I asked what they were going to do to make this right and I was told there was nothing they could do. She said maybe after I drop it off they could refund me $50 bucks, which they ended up doing but is a pretty poor way of handling a broken down truck in the middle of 26 at 10:30 at night the day before I had to set up my wedding. TL;DR- don't rent from here

The location is very convenient (right off Rt 93 and East Stone drive) and easy to maneuver with alot of space for cars and moving trucks. Highly recommend!

I'll try to limit myself to the…read morelowlights: -One of the guys quit mid-job after calling me a "motherf***er" and an "@$$hole" in the middle of the street. I later learned he was a "loaner" who didn't even work for the company, and that he did poor work all day. -They were hired to help PACK the house, which I was fine paying for. The workers brought NO packing materials and instead just tossed stuff haphazardly into whatever container they could find. When they ran out of the boxes we had provided, instead of asking me to go get more (I was working in my vehicle the entire day), they simply threw things into the back of their truck loose. Two days later we're still finding shattered pieces of our property due to, for example, reams of printer paper being thrown on top of china. -Speaking of dishes, they didn't even pack everything. There were a few items I asked them to leave once I realized they were being idiots with our stuff, but we also discovered they didn't even open the kitchen cabinets, so we have to go back and move most of the kitchen ourselves. If the house closing had not already been moved, we'd have to move it just to finish the job we paid for. -After the truck left the old house I found the ground littered with cigarette butts. It turned out they had been smoking all day right next to the OPEN DOOR of the house. All our stuff reeks of cigarette smoke. Whatever does not err out is now ruined. All told it took them two days to move a three-bedroom home and it's not even moved. We've lost many of my wife's nice things to straight-up malicious incompetence. The owner did take responsibility and accepted a reduced bill, but the more we try to undo the mess, the worse even that settled bill looks. Stay far, far away.

They wrapped our larger furniture with blankets before taking it through doorways and out to the truck. We had zero damage. ALSO Dave's entire staff gets background checks, so he knows who is going into your house. I wholeheartedly recommend them over any company I've used in the past.

But this is why it gets five stars, the customer service went far beyond. Not only was the owner professional and friendly, knowing we were new to the area she was helpful with local information. She found out we were looking for a welder and she helped us with a recommendation. I also contacted her about a contractor and she had no problem with providing information.

I was warned about this by one of their commercial customers who told me it all sounds great on the front end, but getting them back for repairs or modifications is another story. Can't really comment on the quality of their work as we are still waiting. I will update this review if they follow-up.
