Consistently greasy but consistently good. That was my initial review in the making after two positive enough visits. Visit #3 the other day to pick up breakfast for some senior family members who asked for just some regular McDonald's sandwiches and coffee, however, has tainted my viewpoint of this place. I ordered on my phone around 11:40 or maybe just before. The restaurant is close and I thought I'd go and grab some groceries and then by the time I swung back over, it'd be ready. I ran my errands and made it back over by 12:10 when my email confirmation said 12:05-12:10, perfect...no. I walked in and she simply said it's not ready. And no timetable was given. I remembered my fam wanted coffee so I said, I'll leave and go to McDonald's drive through for coffee and then double back for my order which will have to be ready by then. I get back at 12:30, and it's still not ready. The girl at the counter says 5 more minutes. 10 minutes later, not ready. I tell her, I'm taking a free drink for the ridiculous wait. She goes to the back and complains about me to someone. No one came from the back to challenge me. My food came another 5 minutes later. The food wasn't particularly hot so I'm not sure what the long wait time was about. Maybe they didn't like my attitude...no worries, I'll never go back. The food tastes fine. The service is trash unless you get lucky.

I asked for her recommendations on the menu and to my surprise she suggested the Chopped Cheese. I definitely wanted to try to burger but always heard about Chopped Cheeae from New York. I took her up on her suggestion and had a seat inside. There are about 10 tables, some big and some small. I can tell this place will be jumping when the weather gets nice as there is a coffee shop and a hot chicken spot inside this Halal food hall. There are also windows that open with better weather. The food was made to order. Freshness off the grill. The French fries were piping hot. The Chopped cheese was quite filling. The bread is super soft and delicious. The wagyu meat is delicious as well. I could really taste the flavor along with the cheese mixed in. The sauce adds a quality taste as well. I'll without a doubt be back as there is more I'd like to try from the menu.

If you are looking for a classic burger and fries combo that is much worth the price, this is the place. Typically I do not do cheese but when in Rome, right? It was delicious. Fries were perfectly crispy and hot, added a Mexican coke because who doesn't need almost 40 grams of sugar?! lol The service was quick and hospitality was great. Tall chick with a British accent, super sweet. The atmosphere was great. I sat in the hall and enjoyed my meal. 10/10 would definitely go again

I used to work around this area and was familiar with this establishment in its last iteration as a breakfast, all day spot. Late last year, I think it was they rebranded in a McDowell's sort of way and honestly, I wish they would embrace that a little more. I ordered the same thing I would get at Roaming Rooster, the Honey Butter Chicken Sandwich except here, I asked that no mayo nor tomato be added. Here they come with it, a marked difference. Then I sat back, no, I stood back and observed the goings-on. First I questioned why they sell tacos. Not to anywhere there, just to myself. Why not a Big Mick[sic]? Coming 2 America is coming soon. Right after that a gentleman came in and ordered tacos and coffee. :-/ Then I thought about how good the Ethiopian food could be here. I would be down to try it, way before I'd buy a taco here but then again I thought, why not go the Mélange route and have Ethiopian spiced chicken sandwiches. Yes I was doing a lot of thinking because I was waiting for a long time. I'd taken my John Mercer Langston picture and thought about menu changes I'd make if I were like Marcus Lemonis, investing nothing but sharing my i.p. for free like this review. The sandwich was actually, surprisingly good. A little on the oily side but much better than I thought and not at all shaped or packaged like Roaming Rooster, a different bird indeed. It's also filling so I would skip the fries because I'm sure they aren't as good as Wings across the street so get a taco if you wish.

I ordered the pancake stack, which is the main reason I keep coming back. The pancakes are consistently delicious and come with eggs, hash browns, and your choice of meat. My meal included scrambled eggs (it was just one egg ), hash browns that needed a little seasoning, and bacon that looked undercooked for my taste. My waiter was friendly and attentive. When I mentioned that I prefer my bacon crispy, he was happy to take it back. It seemed like they simply put the same bacon back on the flat top, so it still wasn't quite what I was hoping for, but I appreciated his willingness to help. My friend ordered the fish and chips. The steak fries were really good, but the fish itself was just okay. Overall, I know every restaurant has an off day, and this experience won't keep me from coming back. The pancakes are still worth the visit. Next time, I'll be a little more specific about my preferences from the start.

If I'm honest, they had me at French techniques and middle eastern flavors but it helped that a friend's friend recommended Yellow, and the Union area in general. To be honest, I almost skipped it entirely after seeing the line, but I'm glad I stuck it out. Although I couldn't make out the menu until my time to order I was proud of what I ended up with- the halawa honey, a smooth balanced coffee for the coffee lover seeking a sweet treat, and the smoked amba chicken pita. We went around 9:30 in the morning on a weekend and it was already packed but luckily we found seating as soon as we got done ordering at the counter. Definitely get here early! Even on a weekend, there were so many people chilling on their laptops. I saw one woman on a 4 seat table, taking her sweet time with just 1 drink and her laptop while so many people were waiting in line with their trays full of food. A no laptop policy on weekends is usually a good idea if they want people to sit back and relax rather than take their stuff to go. We got the Baklawa Mocha, Rose Milk Tea, Orange Blossom Croissant, Chocolate Halawa Pain Suisse and Breakfast Egg Pita. All the food was phenomenal - especially the breakfast egg pita. It was so fresh, flavorful and filling. I also loved the Chocolate Halawa Pain Suisse - if you love middle eastern desserts with a western twist, definitely get this! Both pastries were extremely flaky and fresh. The Rose milk tea was very fragrant and had a strong flavor of rose and cardamom. I did not like the Baklawa Mocha at all because it tasted very watered down. Would return for their food but will skip the drinks for sure!!
