Everyone enjoyed their drinks too - the lychee li, the mango margarita, the botanical, the sticky mango, the old fashioned, the baccarat. We all enjoyed them. For the food we had the thai basil beef fried rice, general tso shrimp, panang curry, singapore noodles, house style wok tossed soft noodles, seafood xo, and the wonton soup. Most of us tried each other's food because of the healthy servings and most of us enjoyed what we ate. Our waitress Minzhi was awesome - friendly, knowledgeable and funny. The restaurant manager Q was nice and attentive as well. They even gave one of our party members a mango sticky rice dessert (which was just okay - would've been much better if the mango was riper and sweeter) and sang happy birthday to her. Overall, we had a lovely time. Ginger is pricey so be mindful of that before you go but if you're celebrating a special occasion/milestone, it will be a nice change of pace.

Some of my favorites are the Pancit Malabon, Crispy Pata, Sisig, and their grilled skewers. My sister loves Chickboys too and stops by several times a month to pick up food for our parents. The Pancit Malabon is one of those dishes I keep craving. The combination of rich flavors, tender pork belly, and shrimp is absolutely delicious and keeps me coming back for more. The Crispy Pata is another standout--perfectly crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and amazing when paired with rice and their dipping sauce. I also have to give a special shoutout to the skewers. In my opinion, they're some of the best in the area--always juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right. I've had to wait a little longer for my food on occasion, but that's because everything is made fresh and often comes straight off the grill. It's absolutely worth the wait. I live in DC, but Chickboys has become a regular stop whenever I'm visiting my parents. Honestly, it's probably a good thing it's not closer to me, or I'd be there every day! My parents especially enjoy it when my sister brings home Chickboys for them. As they've gotten older, it's become a wonderful way to treat them to comforting Filipino food without having to cook. One more thing--don't overlook their catering. I've had Chickboys at several catered events throughout the area, and they always impress. From backyard parties and graduations to larger gatherings, the food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and a crowd favorite. The grilled skewers alone are enough to get people talking. If you're ever in the area and looking for food that tastes like home in the Philippines, give Chickboys a try. The beef stew was very good. The fried pork belly was excellent. The grilled pork belly had a very strong char flavor (not a bad thing). I'm giving only 4 stars because the rice could have been warmer, and some of the items felt a bit sauce dependent. That said, I will definitely visit again if I have a craving for Filipino food, and I think they have 5 start potential.
