I was looking for blank t shirts that I could print on and found American T Shirt Company online. I called and talked to Lani and she was very helpful, explained how the samples and purchasing worked. She emailed me the price list right away. I really wanted to buy local so I stopped in the shop the next day to see the shirts they sell and the same girl that I talked to on the phone helped me. She remembered me and was so patient while I looked through different styles and tried to figure out what sizes and colors I wanted. After picking out the samples I wanted I paid and she informed me that the order would be ready after 3:30 pm, it was about noon. I came back early, at about 3ish and waited and just after 3:30 the order was ready as promised. Once she confirmed that the order was ready I signed off on the order and she told me to go outside the showroom and just over to the warehouse with the invoice to pick up the order. The warehouse was only a few steps outside the the showroom door so I found it easily and there was a young guy there ready to take the invoice to get the order. There was no waiting, he got my order and waited with me as I checked that all was there and I signed off and was on my way! I will definitely order from them again. I love this place. A local place where I can buy in bulk and at wholesale prices. There were a couple of orders where the shirts were dirty (had some markings on them) but I just emailed the company and they placed a replacement order right away and I just brought back the dirty t-shirts and got the replacement no problem. Due to COVID their showroom is closed and you call when you get there and they bring out your order to your car. The hours on their website are incorrect by an hour I believe. Quick turn around time (a few hours to the next day, depending on your order and what time of day you order). However, their customer service could use some training. I'm all about supporting local, but it's businesses like this that makes me want to take business elsewhere, even if it means paying more. You enter their showroom and you're not greeted. They don't even look at you. When you enter their warehouse to pick up your order, it's the same thing. I would give it a higher rating but when I was there yesterday to get literally 2 shirts, I was told that I would have to wait until 4 pm for 2 shirts. No weird sizes or colors, just 2 random shirts to give to my boss as samples for our new shirt designs.... It was around 11 am and I gave them my # and told them if it was ready early to call me. We use this shop to get our T-shirts for our printing company. Supporting local businesses is a must for us, which is why we shop here. HOWEVER, other than the old timers who are courteous and knowledgeable, the younger workers should take a class in customer service. We agree with other reviewers that they do not greet or offer assistance apart from the old timers who are turning out to be the only reasons we remain customers. We needed a gallon of white water based silkscreen ink for a rush order of 25 yards of printed fabric. Remembering that 3 weeks prior we had asked the younger workers if they carried water based silk screen ink, to which they replied yes, this was the first place we thought to buy from. Fast forward to this week, we called over the phone to place an order, confirmed 3 times that they sold water based ink before driving over and purchasing. My partner did a test run with it on the fabric later that night. She could CLEARLY see upon opening the jar that it was not water based. Gave them the benefit of the doubt, tested it anyway, to confirm that it was not what we asked for. We took it back to the shop only to be given a half hearted apology. The manager seemed somewhat dismissive about the issue (that set us back a half a day on our order as we needed that time to dry our fabric after printing). Thankfully he did assist us in finding a shop that sold the correct ink, while also mentioning that they have never sold water based ink. Please train your staff accordingly so it doesn't cost others time and money. Nothing wrong with being new and learning the ropes, but if you don't know ASK. Also have no idea why the new cashier asked us if we had an account. We said no the first time, then gave our info presumably to set up an account. We go in the next time and are told that we don't have one? This exact situation has happened with the same cashier 4 more times, with being asked if have an account, giving info to set it up, then being told we don't have one. Extremely frustrating as a frequent customer. Shirts are affordable, location is prime but it's too bad the younger folks don't have common courtesy. read more

Terri works in the front, near the showroom. She is the main reason I will be taking my business elsewhere, even if that means paying a little more and ordering online from a mainland company. I try my best to support local businesses and I am extremely disappointed in how I was treated. I spoke to her twice on the phone, met her in person to place my order, and when I came back the next day to pick up my order she seemed as though she had no clue who I was. Although she may be very knowledgable about their products, she's not friendly at all and looked at me as if I was stupid for even trying to make a conversation with her. So much for being nice. First of all, its a 4 hour wait period because it is WHOLESALE. They take 4 hours to pull it because they have multiple orders, BIG and SMALL. So it doesn't matter if you have just "two" shirts you are trying to order. There are orders prior to yours, and sometimes they consist of HUNDREDS of different shirts. So they pull in the order they received it. Don't like it? Plan ahead and order early. So I completely understand the process and think the staff are wonderful. Keep it up AMT! read more

Employees need more training in customer service. I was there yesterday morning with a friend and witnessed 2 employees arguing in the warehouse. It was more of one employee getting yelled at. It was a trip, I felt bad for the guy getting yelled at. I don't know what he did but we could hear yelling and swearing coming from what can only be described as someone's grandmother. She looked about 70 years old and she had a mouth on her. We did overhear him telling her to leave him alone that she was making a scene in front of us, the CUSTOMERS. Clearly she didn't care because she kept going at it. We wanted to step in and tell her to cut it out but she seemed really upset and we were running late as is. If this is how their employees are that they really don't care if their customers can see them arguing and yelling at one another, then this is not the place for me. If their employees don't care what they look like in the public's eye, then clearly Management needs to go back to do more training on customer service. Their prices are really good and we can pick up our shirts quickly but all I have to say is WOW! We've been there a few times and we have never seen her before so we are not sure if she is the Owner. I'm hoping she's not because that's even worse. Yelling and swearing at your employees in front of customer's is not good for business. There has to be a place and time to discipline your employees and not definitely in front of YOUR customers. read more

Our printer had ordered and printed adult softball t-shirts last season on Hanes Tagless T-Shirts from American T Shirt Company. At mid season and especially near the end of our season we noticed that our t-shirts had shrunk a lot. This had not happened with past t-shirts through the years.
