I have been to Husk & Vine many times, so I already knew how great their food was, but the wedding menu exceeded our expectations. From the passed hors d'oeuvres and chef-manned pasta station to the buffet dinner, our guests could not stop talking about how delicious everything was, especially the sea bass! They truly went above and beyond for us while offering packages that are very reasonably priced. Give to me a standard Martini stirred (Shaken is just dumb) with stuffed blue cheese olives. The ladies order appletini's and we're ready to order off the restaurant week menu. The menu has a nice selection of different offerings, I'm into all things local so I'm going to start with the beet salad and Red Snapper. The beet salad was loaded with beets! I love beets, they did a good job with this started dish. I must point out, the dish must have been prepped earlier in the day. The green salad was slighty wilted when served to me. The Red Snapper, what is that sauce on top? And the fish was sitting on a bunch of zoodles?? The fish wasn't seasoned, it wasn't very flavorful. I'm eating around the zoodles, meh. Traditional SP is a layer of ground meat with peas in it and often carrots and a thick baked crust of mashed potatoes on top. This was thin and a bit soupy. I didn't care for it and I really like SP. The other three times I have been here the food was good. Maybe it was an off night and the chef was on an umami kick. Who knows.
