I love finding new favorites so close to home! After a few tastings at LI Salted Spirits distillery, we took a quick walk into town for dinner at Cafe Joelle and wow, the atmosphere alone caught me off guard. Such a gorgeous, hidden gem vibe with plenty of seating whether you want the bar or a table. The food was genuinely unforgettable, we were still talking about it days later. If you love bold flavor with a little heat, this is your spot. We got the Bruschetta (grilled herb crostini, mozzarella, plum tomato compote), P.E.I. Mussels (chorizo, cherry pepper, riesling white wine), Wasabi Calamari (sesame crusted, spicy soy ginger sauce, wasabi aioli), Shrimp Mezze Rigate (pesto, sun-dried tomato, asparagus, breadcrumb, ricotta salata), and Cherry Pepper Pork (pounded, breaded, pan-fried, lemon cherry pepper sauce, melted parmesan, green beans, roasted potato), every dish was packed with flavor. Don't sleep on dessert either: a chocolate shell you crack open to reveal mousse inside, we were fighting to get the last bites! Bonus: they carry LI Salted Spirits cans and cocktails right at the bar, so you can keep the tasting going. Plenty of parking, super friendly staff, and a great spot for everyone. Amazing dinner celebrating my sister's 70th birthday. Everyone was so friendly and chipped in with service. Cocktails and draft list pretty solid. Their specials sounded amazing and their food is fantastic. Myself, I enjoyed a cherry pepper pork chop cutlet. It was huge, and I loved every bite of it. They even came out to sing when we ordered dessert and the entire restaurant chimed in which was pretty special. I would gladly return on my next visit to the area. Highly recommend. read more

My first time at the new(er) location - much bigger than the old one from what I remember. Two big large and bright rooms, industrial vibe, clean. Chairs are a bit uncomfortable and tables Formica, but all in all a very nice space. Service was friendly and helpful. Water came quick, checked on regularly. For food we had the wasabi calamari as an app - not overly breaded or fried, light and flavorful with the Asian flare. I had the pork calabrese sandwich, and asked for extra peppers on the side that I could add - def gave it a flavor punch. Sandwich is good sized and delicious. Prices are typical. This was my first time coming to the restaurant at its new location. Pulling into the parking lot I was so surprised that it was so packed that there was not one spot to be had wound up having to go park a few blocks away, which was fine. It was a nice day to walk. New restaurant is beautiful very streamlined neat and clean. Came for a quick lunch and we were seated immediately. The server was very friendly and attentive. I just ordered a grilled chicken sandwich on ciabatta bread with tomato and sweet potato fries . It was very good. The chicken was nice and tender and very nicely seasoned. This September will commemorate my first date with my now- husband having met at Café Joelle 25 years prior when located on Main Street! After a fire claimed a few businesses(Cafe Joelle being one of them), they relocated to its current spot on Foster Avenue ...I hadn't been to the new restaurant until today to celebrate a special friend's 60th birthday. It was as charming (and fun) as I recall.... From the moment we walked in until we left, everyone was so welcoming and professional. We experienced wonderful service, delicious food, and such a nice vibe. If you ever get the chance to go to Sayville, it's such a quaint south shore town with beautiful shops, a real beach-like feel, and a wonderful friendly community! Don't forget to drop in at Café Joelle for a memorable meal! They must be doing something right, as they have the same waitstaff there from when I went many, many years ago in the original spot!!! Good dinner, food took forever. Came here yesterday with a reservation and were quickly seated. We had to ask for bread to be brought out as it seems they don't really give it out. Our friend calamari was good but the breading fell apart. My penne a la vodka was delicious and my husband really enjoyed his ravioli a la vodka. My daughter enjoyed her grilled cheese and fries. Beautiful decor & we both chose a delicious Reuben sandwich on crunchy toasted Rye with mounds of lean corned beef,sauerkraut & a delicious dressing. French fries done to a crisp accompanied the sandwich with a pickle that packed a crunch. We were greeted with a smile & our waitress was friendly. My sister in law recommended this restaurant for my baby shower, so naturally my husband and I went to eat dinner to check out the place and try the food. We ordered meals that were choices on the catering menu and fell in love. We immediately booked the place for my shower. Amber and Erika were both very responsive and accommodating to make the entire booking and planning process simple and convenient. The day of my shower was magical, from the food, to the atmosphere, to the service - everything was phenomenal! Easily one of the best meals I've had in a long time and definitely one of the best restaurants on Long Island. The space is modern, clean and the tables are wide and spacious. Between our group of 3 we had the house made mozzarella sticks, bacon wrapped shrimp and bruschetta as apps and one was better than the next. For our meal we split the two almond crusted chicken salad, burrata ala vodka and the chicken Jules. Again, one thing was better than the next. To be honest the salad was out of this world. The chicken was crispy, lettuce perfectly dressed and the pears and bleu cheese were such a great compliment to the whole thing. I'm still thinking about it! For dessert we shared the chocolate bag which was decadent and delicious. The white chocolate mousse inside was amazing. We were bummed when they were out of the PB brownie but this definitely made up for it. As for drinks I highly recommend the apple dacks. INCREDIBLE. And the espresso martini was top notch. Talk about a hidden gem! I've never heard of this place until I saw it on Instagram and wow was I impressed. First of all, it's beautiful, bright and clean inside and they have a cute little lounge area in case you have to wait for a table, which we did so I snagged an apple dacks from the bar. It was so amazing, my friends and I ordered another round at the table. We split the mozzarella triangles, bruschetta and bacon wrapped shrimp for apps and the chicken Jules, burrata pasta ala vodka and almond crusted chicken salad for entrees and the chocolate bag for dessert. Everything was amazing. The bacon and shrimp was slightly overcooked but everything was so flavorful and portions were decent sized. The bruschetta was my favorite and I prob wouldn't have ordered it if I didn't see it on Instagram-highly recommend! The salad was actually very good too, the chicken was crispy, not greasy and the dressing was light and sweet. I didn't love the dessert options, they were out of the one thing we wanted so we went with the chocolate bag with white chocolate mousse. It was meh, coulda done without it. I felt compelled to write this review after getting a pumpkin beer served in a glass that is meant for cocktails. I honestly can't believe I paid $9 for this. It would be different if it was a beer with a high ABV, but it is a Schlafly pumpkin! Please get proper beer glasses so that your clientele doesn't feel like they are being ripped off in a way that feels even more disrespectful. We were very excited Cafe Noelle could accomodare our large group the day after Christmas. It was loud and boisterous. I think everyone just needed to get out of the house and wanted to be served! They had a nice selection of cocktails. One of my friends had the clear Pina Colada. I had a sip and it was delicious. Nice coconut flavor and unexpected. I had the Pear Naked Lady, which was also very yummy. Everyone seemed to like their cocktails. I ordered a hamburger and it was good. Not the best burger I've ever had but certainly not the worst. Others had Reubens and liked but complained about the scant amount of dressing and sauerkraut on their sandwiches. Another friend had the Caramelized Pear Salad, which she said was very tasty. I enjoyed my experience at Cage Joelle! It's a little hole in the wall in sayville but our server was great and the food was awesome! I got the apple and Brie salad which was very good but a little too light on the chicken and dressing it came with. The baked clams were phenomenal and my moms almond crusted chicken salad was delicious as well but also light on the dressing. It was very quiet when we were in there only about two other couples at tables but nonetheless they all seemed happy! Our server(s) we're great and I had a raspberry iced tea that transported me back to being a kid! So delicious! I love their food . I haven't been to the new location, but I hear the menu is the same. I have had their Salmon with mashed potatoes, , for me it's good for 2 meals . I also like their calamari that is sautéed with tomatoes , it's great to eat it there with bread . It's an appetizer, but for me is good enough for a meal . Finally dined here the other night. Such a cute ambiance, and great service. Started off with Wasabi Calamari which were very tasty and a bit unique. The French onion soup wasn't anything spectacular but it was still good. Chicken and Artichoke franchise was delicious and perfectly done. The chicken panzanella was good, probably wouldn't get it again, had an over powering garlic flavor and needed more tomato/balsamic flavor. We've had two delicious meals at Cafe Joelle now. We most recently came for my birthday dinner earlier this week. We were pleasantly surprised to be greeted by santa and mrs. claus. We didn't expect the place to be packed at 8 PM but all the tables were filled due to the special santa event. Luckily a few tables were wrapping up and we were still seated pretty quickly. We ordered the bacon wrapped shrimp for an appetizer which was delicious. I had the scallops with shrimp risotto. I'm a sucker recently for a good risotto. Both the appetizer and entree were gluten free. Their menu is clearly marked with gluten free and gluten free available which is so appreciated.
